    Excellent vid Hadi. Anyone thinking of getting into landbased fishing for pelagics should definitely watch this. I'm a bit old school and reckon a well presented livie outfishes lures every day of the week for certain fish off the rocks.

      100%... it's just less glamorous.
      Catching the livies and transporting them can be the issue.

    Salams Great vid my bro👏, just wondering do you usually put bait on the sabki rig if so what bait do you guys typically put on thanks.

      @TeamKingiesFishingCrew  3 месяца назад +2

      Wa'alaikumussalam, no bait needed if you burley. Bait tends to attract other unwanted small fish.

    Great vid ans explanation, love the vids, just a quick one tho. I have a 20k saltist with 70 pound braid 500m, how heavy should i go for my leader line and how long. I know o can depend on where you fish, but just a general response, mainly going for kings ans tuna. Thanks brother.

    • @TeamKingiesFishingCrew
      @TeamKingiesFishingCrew  2 месяца назад

      Thanks mate. For kings, go 100-120lb leader. For tuna & mackerel, you can go as light as 80lb. You can catch tuna & mackerel on 40lb Braid & 60lb leader, it will allow you to have more line.

    • @grunty3743
      @grunty3743 2 месяца назад

      @TeamKingiesFishingCrew thanks for the response man keep it up. Would how heavy the line is affect the livie if that makes sense ?

    • @TeamKingiesFishingCrew
      @TeamKingiesFishingCrew  2 месяца назад

      @@grunty3743 yep, it does. The heavier the line, the harder the livie needs to swim. So going light is always better, but you need the heavier line for big kings.

    Back in the early 80's, me and my brother snuck out at 10pm and went down to the swan river, dreaming of catching a feed
    Easter weekend, the moon was huge
    I was catching chopper tailor, and keeping them in an onion bag hanging off the jetty
    Around 5am some guy turned up, talked to my brother, and started pointing at my bag
    My brother told me to give him one of the choppers
    He chose one, put it onto a 100lb hand line and tossed it out
    Almost straight away he pulled in a metre long mulloway
    As he gutted it, i wondered how he would thank me for the bait
    He gave me the stomach ffs 😂
    Put the fish in the boot of his HG Holden and drove off into the dawn

    • @TeamKingiesFishingCrew
      @TeamKingiesFishingCrew  3 месяца назад

      What, do you mean the meat of the belly or the guts?
      Was it a dead tailor that he used?

      Nah
      He took the strongest livey
      The actual stomach
      It was a big fish, he probably thought it was a good deal
