you got 10 quarts in the beginning, how long would you say the extra 4 quarts that’s in the 5 quart container leftover is goood for in terms of shelf life if it’s stored properly in room temp
I actually use them within 12 month and they should still be fresh if sealed and sitting in 70F room. But if you are concerned best to buy individual 1qt bottles
I did a VOA on the Kirkland 5w-30. Amazing add package for the price, but the total oxidation, at 8,400 miles is pushing it a little too much. I would change the oil before 7,500. Cheers.
You are way off center (right front tire) on the rhino ramps. These things are prone to stressing (even failure) especially if you overdrive the ramp or not have it centered. Forget the undertray cover, it really serves no purpose and traps heat. Just remove it altogether and store it away (that way you can just roll a jack under it) Use a jack or stands in addition to the ramps. Also with a turbo on a 4--cylinder, 8000 miles is way too long between oil change intervals (full synthetic or not) and regardless of what Ford or anybody else says. I would run royal purple or equivalent every 3000 miles on an eco-boost.
@@TheGizmoGarage I have a 2006 GT (it also takes 6 qts + filter) I picked up a set of rhino ramps early in 2018 when I got the car to install an aftermarket shifter. I don't put too many miles per year on it & just finished my 12th oil change (twice a year) I change it every 6 months regardless of miles (sometimes at 2500 miles) Installed struts this summer which lowered the car an inch in the front, so this last change I could not drive up onto them. So I jacked the car up and lowered it onto them. The plastic stressing sound has always been a thing with them even new. Even though I have had zero problems with them, I'm noticing white stress lines (not cracks) developing along the sides. I'm going to toss the things because 40 bucks seven years ago now? Might as well get a set of 'race ramps' even though they are way more spendy. Nice car. Idk what they call that yellow now, but back mid 200s it was called 'screaming yellow'
@@sriavula I would never go past 3k even running purple. But I don't even go by mileage, 6 months regardless of miles (tolerances are super tight) I want years out of it, plus I don't want anything past 2010 honestly. Mid 2000s is enough complication and computer involved in a mustang for me. I'll take the easier to deal with live axle & tr3650 over anything newer.
@@Captain-ql9te 3k seems too short to be honest with you, but on my motorcycle ninja 300, i do 3k, but for my ecoboost im gonna probably stick with 4-5k ballpark tbh
Thank you brother! I needed this!

Agree with ya!

Thank you Captain for your input 👍
