Been following your journey for a year now. I also wear Asics and Mizunos for my boots. Here in Japan, everybody likes Nikes and Mizunos, but I think Asics are really underrated. The best part about buying cleats here is that most come default in 2E or 3E width :)
I think the 2024 update to the DS Light Pro has improved the boot. Stitching on the forefoot seems to improve the softness and touch a bit, versus the stitchless forefoot Asics went with last time. The toebox on the update is also a bit roomier, which is good because I think the previous version of the boot (shown in this video) was a little too cramped in the toebox, even when getting the wide-fit variant of it. Mr. Kadono, I'd like to recommend you give the Asics Ultrezza 3 a try at some point. For me, it's a straight up improvement on the DS Light Pro, doing most of the same good things but doing them better (e.g. leather forefoot and synthetic midfoot are higher quality materials, the 5mm heel lift with 'FlyteFoam' makes the boot lighter than the 'fuzeGEL' used instead in the heel of the DS Light Pros, and the soleplate has more responsiveness and energy return on the Ultrezza while still being just as stable and safe for HG/AG pitches as the DS Light Pro's soleplate.
@CognizantCheddar Which boots would you recommend with your knowledge, i am looking for really durable ag boot, my foot is really wide ( 6E according to sizecharter) for reference as long as fit goes puma ultra 1.1 and 1.2, new balance furon v7 and 442 pro (wide variation) were all exellent and for example gx 2 is too narrow. Really struggling to find a great one and i have been looking into asics and you seem to know a lot about them. Could you give me recommendations and it does not matter which brand i just hope to find a great durable ag pair that performs nicely on ag and has desirable fit.
Hey..you said the ds light are kangaroo leather ..question is ..I’ve seen some on eBay for $90 and others are $150 and they look exactly the same..I was wondering if the $90 is still kangaroo because it doesn’t mention kangaroo or either shoes
HI, Do the wide 2E fit versions have a wider sole plate than the standard fit? Or is the extra width just in the upper material? You could hold the wide fit sole plate against the standard and see if the studs line up or not? Thank You for your help.
In my experience with Asics, you _never_ size up. Always either true-to-size or a half size down. So far as length goes, I can testify that the DS Light Pro runs approximately a quarter-size longer than the same size in Nike.
@@CognizantCheddar I ended up going true to size and they fit great on the length. Haven’t tried them out of the field yet but I’m sure they’ll break in more in the midfoot

Asics and Mizuno lead the way for leather boots

I’m pretty sure the wide versions have wide material for everything

Do you recommend going true to size or going up/down half size? I’m an US 8 in Mizuno’s. Should I go US 8 in ASICS?
I might go either true to size or size down for these since they are leather and they stretch after a while

Are these boots made for artifical or natural grass? Are they durable?
They’re good for both artificial and natural!!
I think last year you got a pair of SGs. Did you decide you didn’t need them this year?
I wore the SGs only few times last season since a lot of the games were on turf so they’re still in good condition!!
You got the regular fit instead of your usual Wide fit, did you face any issues?
I actually haven’t used them yet!! I will start using them very soon though, will make a video about it!!
@@shinsjourneySK looking forward to seeing more vids from you! Keep it up 💓
Do the Japanese soccer shops speak English for tourists?
Maybe the ones in the big cities but I’m not exactly sure
Brother is it good for narrow feet
I believe so!
This boot comes in both standard and wide fit variants.
Can't get them in UK 🥲
