I bought a pair of FUTURE 3.1 MG Men's Football Boots (the version with the pimples) last year. Ok, here's my experience. I used them on 3 and 4G pitches and at first, they were so tight, i got bad blisters. These can be somewhat alleviated by wearing marathon socks but do beware they need a fair bit of wearing in for some people and probably some stretching too. You may even want to go half a size up. I also realised they weren't great for 4G pitches as the pimples aren't long enough to sustain a good enough grip in the turf. But here's the good bit. I then wore them on hard, grassy natural ground - like grass, when it goes hard in the summer and they were perfect. Wearing traditional FG boots on hard, grassy ground has always been bad for my balance and I always came away stiff after a game. But these boots provide great contact with the ground, natural balance and amazingly, I come away with almost zero stiffness the next day. There is definitely something to be said about wearing the right boots for the right surface.
@@AleABest Actually in here hard to find MG or AG stood cause retailer just buy FG stood for local market and than most of the player was uneducated about shoes or boots stood, many young player broke the ankle on early age, base on personal experience.

Hey just ordered a pair. How is the MG studs doing when the pitch is wet? Any slipper?... I just bought mercurial vapor with AG studs but those are way too aggressive. Just a question of time before an ankle sprain occurs
Yesterday I was watching a friendly match in my town and I noticed a player wearing your grip socks ! I looked like a proud grandpa for a moment there 😂
Absolutely agreed on this! If you're asking yourself which ones to chose for firm,/AG grounds, go with the MGs! I was told they name the FG/AG boots like that to have an advantage against adidas and nike, who are not selling boots that are meant for both (AG and FG). I had a really bad injury, because the AG boots were way too long for the AG ground. The MG boots have enough grip at any condition on AG and are even useful on dry natural grounds.
@@hrleysh Yes, if the firm ground (fg) that you play on is dry, mg will work perfectly fine. On artificial grounds (ag) MG will work under every condition. The FG/AG Boots i would only recommend for wet and deep pitches, where you can t get enoguh grip with mg

Back in the late 70s early 80s dimpled trainers were the accepted best option for astro turf (granted a much worse variation than you play on nowadays - pretty much carpet laid on concrete). After a long time away from the game I've tried AG boots from Mizuno. Whilst they are undoubtedly good I've settled on a Mizuno AG training shoes since it seems to offer equally good traction and spreads the pressure across the foot better than the AG boots. Really not sure why Puma simply don't market FG as FG and, perhaps, MG as Ag/MG. Bob 🇬🇧
After playing few times in MG soleplate im not going back to AG or AG/FG of any brand. My only complain about ultras 1.3 is lack of heel padding, but stud length is perfect for playing on any artificial pitch.

Well said, I agree that FG boots are dangerous for artificial fields. I will have to play on one for the first time this year and my hand may be forced to purchase a pair of AG boots. I'm imagining that wearing FG boots on artificial you would hardly have any traction and would probably be slipping over a lot. Hey, With my current club I am training on (short, old and stamped) artificial field while playing my matches mostly on natural grass. I've had problems that the outsole comes a bit loose from the upper, where the artificial grass granules get in between deep and worsens the problems until it is unusable. I had this with my Predator 20.3 MG at the sides and Copa Sense.3 MG at the nose in the last years. Do you know how I can try to estimate the durability of the outsole for this kind of problems? The earlier mentioned models both featured a more middle high straight sole line while for example the Puma future Z 2.4 FG/AG feature a very curvy low line. In high end models there are more dedicated artificial grass boots instead of dual type, where for the Predator Acc.1 also the sole line is a bit higher (next to more conical studs etc.), but e.g. for the Nike Tiempos there is no difference. So do you have more tricks to determine his durability for .2/.3 boots or would you advise to go for a second pair of turf shoes but then the .3/.4 since I have not so much budget. For anyone finding the time to respond, thanks in advance!
