i feel like football boots should have customizable studs which can be interchangeable between ag, sg, and fg, because not all of us can afford 3 shoes for different types of pitches
@Billy bob he means buy one pair of boots and three different types of studs that you can interchange
@Billy bob his point is he doesn’t want to have to buy 3 separate pairs of boots bro😂
Well if you buy SG boots, especially the high end pairs, they come with plastic studs to support the metal studs on FG and add abit more traction to SG. These metal studs can be changed into plastic studs which are obv plastic and not metal and are also shorter so they can be used on FG. I personally buy high end leather boots like tiempos and just swap out the metal studs depending on what surface I play even if it’s AG because tbh I can’t tell the difference. This year I’m switching to predator freaks.1 low with an SG sole and I’ll have to go out and buy Adidas dedicated plastic studs so when I train on AG I can use them and when I have games they will be useable for Ag,sg and FG
@@tuga163 are the lows good?
The old Adidas F50 TUNITs used to be like that. Cool idea but people were constantly loosing studs and/or stripping out the threads for the studs. Soccer Reviews For You highlighted them in one of his failed football boot videos.
From my experience with an ACL injury, you guys should go with the AG one.
Explain it bro
it’s not as aggressive so you’re less likely to get injured
I am 39 super active, I play in two leagues twice a week.
I suffered a mcl grade 2 Injury when I switched from turfs to adidas 19.1 AG/FG on artificial grass. Literally for last five years i played in turfs, had no issues and the fifth time wearing the 19.1 I have the injury.
Don’t be tempted because it says FG/AG.
@@amalgeorge9391 less likely to get an acl injury on artificial grass when wearing ag boots
@@hutchman0823 This is right. I could never wear FG boots on any type of synthetic/artificial grass. Rolled my ankle more than once already, and the knees need to be saved. No thanks. I stay with Turfs and AG feels much more comfortable as Jay mentioned.

I always go fg because they're a great hybrid for dry pitches as well as soft and muddy pitches because of the long studs

I need FG
Boot repair video so how to replace studs and other things etc
I recently changed to AG boots, I play on a AG pitch mostly so didn't fuss me about wearing FG boots. But for ages I noticed my knees and ankles were always so sore and tender after playing. I noticed my boots were actually falling apart too. Got me a pair of Umbro Speciali's AG boots and I love them, super comfy and robust. Compared to FG boots I felt I had more control of the ball with the studs being so much shorter.
I've just got an adidas AG too from a few weeks back. At first i got a little bit disheartened by the appearance. The FG looks somewhat more beautiful and premium with the transparent outsoles compare to the AG but after trying it in the game I think I had made the right choice. The grip is just right as it was engineered. I could feel the difference. FG took quite a strain to the muscles after each strides and restricted the movement. And plus in my region we only played in AG and very rarely play on FG except for training
@@h.z1793Can you use Ag boots on soft ground pitches/wet grass? How is the grip is it too slippery or is it alright?
@@Torment_NFS I never tried it on SG yet so can't really comment on that. But theoretically fg and sg should have more grip compare to ag. But if you often play on natural grass better got an fg imo because you can still use it in both sg and ag. In my case I played on ag all the time and only used it on fg once in a time so I think I had made a right choice going with ag. I'm not a professional just sharing my experience with the boots. Hope it helps
I know I will never own those boots , still watching
Not never own...but by the time you will be able to purchase them you won't be playing football in the same manner you are doing now...

After both a acl and ankle re construction, I play in tf (turf) boots on the 4g pitches, closer to the ground, more surface area touching the grass, no ankle rolls and you feel a little more connected

I was looking for this video for a long time and it came at the right time thank you Unisports❤️🙏
Appreciate the video - considering getting the AG surface type as most are artificial new.
How I choose between FG, SG and AG:
I buy the cheapest one😅
💀😂
Yes but if you ever bought an SG boot and played on AG, you might end up with a serious injury. So forget the money, your body is more important
@@rawansuccarieh1358 I dunno, is saving 20 extra pounds is worth the pain of an injury? I mean injuries can ruin your life but it IS 20 pounds that I could spend on some sweets or a new Care Bears watch
@@duerphykat8809 bro you should never ever pick money over body. When I say SG on AG is dangerous, that doesn't mean it's a 1% risk of injury. It's so high, maybe higher than 40%. Even when jay mike filmed a clip of him using an SG boot on AG just to show us an example in another video, he was risking his life in my opinion. So even if it was 100$, health is more important
@@rawansuccarieh1358 but is it more important than FOUR packs of gummy bears?
Btw if you’re wondering I’m joking 😌 I know how dangerous it is to play with SG on AG. That’s why I use FG on all surface cause I play mostly 5% SG 55% FG and 40% AG

thankful for the explanation of the Puma ag/fg
Nice boots/cleats and information 👍🏽👍🏽
thanks, man wish you guys talked about hg in the early years when I started out I played on sun-baked pitches and wish I knew about hg
@unisport solid review. What do you think of the plates on Adidas ag? I play on ah mostly and have used the Adidas X 16+ ag version but have suffered the occasional ankle sprain due to the stud getting caught in the turf. Any recommendations? Thanks
The best video at the correct time 👍
I usually have cramps in both feet after playing on artificial pitch with FG studs and I recently figured it was because of the studs so this confirms it. I need to get some AG studs for the artificial pitches
Same ive had it a lot recently and with the recent match aswell my ankles hurt like a bitch. Need to get AG boots asap. You know some good ones?
@@raeyon725 I actually bought some new boots but FG again🤣 but I'd say Nike probably. From my limited research the Nike AGs are best. The mercurial ones
try TF, never mentioned here btw.
Please do a goalkeeper dedicated video please, your last video that was about goalkeepers was 11 months ago and I think we need an update.👍
Very helpful vidoe thank 🔥🏆👍🏽
I wish Nike would offer the Puma MG layout for their boots. the new nike AG stud pattern on the mercurials is a step in the right direction, but unfortunately it has still not enough studs and they are still too long, the MG pattern by Puma is superior - especially if you are playing on an artificial grass that is not new super modern high quality, so the studs can't dig in very deep
I had the worst toe blisters from the heat of using FG on Gen1 AG pitch. The stud pressure is no joke so im gonna look for AG leather boots.
This video has helped me so much genuinely I had always been using FG boots on AG as my home pitch and training pitch is AG and my last boots that were FG that I had obviously been using on AG had ripped easily and now I know the risk of getting injured aswell and that u can use Ag boots on fg pitches so there’s no doubt that my next pair of boots will be AG as I was trying to find out which Type I should buy
Can you use Ag boots on soft/wet grass
@@Torment_NFS technically yes you can but it’s probably best not to to avoid slipping. Just look at the studs and ask ur self whether they’re going to dig into the ground properly when running around. If they’re long enough or sharp enough studs then yes but if not don’t do u can avoid slipping
Played on both FG and AG with FG cleats. I used to play on FG but the low maintenance
Of the field made me and my friends to switch to the AG fields and we’ve been playing there for 3-4 years almost everyday of the summer, I’ve never got a injury due to my foot being “stuck” I feel like when playing in real grass it’s much easier to get stuck because it’s solid ground whereas turf is soft. From my experience FG is the best choice overall and can be used in multiple surfaces and almost all players I see play on AG use FG cleats. Just my opinions. 🙃
I can say Ur lucky person cuz I play on ag fields and I bought fg boots and I twist my knee 2weeks later. Now I have ag and after training I don't have any problems with my knee.
Which fg boots did you buy
I think the problem is that people rely too much on the boots more than doing strengthening exercises for the ankles. I have played with FG boots on AG for 4+ years and haven’t had any injuries due to the boots. It’s important to do the correct exercises to avoid rolling/twisting the ankles as many times it’s due to the lack of stiffness, which prevents good shock absorption when planting the feet; and the ankles can’t support the weight/power when changing directions
Very helpful
Great video 👍💯
Would love to know what Jay makes of those MG pumas
Unisport was the AG shoes name in the video? They look sick and can you make a video on budget football boots for beginners
Thank you so much this helped a lot because I play on fg and ag pitches and I don’t usually know what stud type I should buy but now I know I should probably go for ag
nooo go for FG better performance
@@guccimello4648 Ag is the safer side
@@craftsphere719 Im playing 7 years on ag with fg and had no injuries
Yes AG would be good for AG and FG both types of pitches
@@Zulfiqar214 Actually?
I had a pretty nice adidas pair of boots and they hurt my feet so bad, but I got a Nike pair at outlets for $30 and my feet feel great!
Using FG boots on artificial grass also depends on the generation of the artificial pitch. FG boots are not good for 1st generation artificial pitches with rubber palets, and hard. Now they have artificial grass pitches that are 4th generation. Those pitches mimick real grass and your foot sinks a bit in to the pitch. Also 4th generation gives a player a more cushion bounce better for knees and ankles. So in the 4th generation artificial pitches FG boots are okay, but not on the 1st generation hard carpet pitches.
Some of the teams in my city have those carpet like fields, hate playing there.
Yeah those carpet artificial fields are so bad, when you fall it feels like you falling on concrete and you get scraped up
Yes I’ve played on the carpet like pitches and they’re horrible no type of cleat works there you are better off playing with sandals. Now i play on a AG field but like u said is very identical to what a firm ground pitch would feel like and FG boots work perfectly there.
Yep that was one of my mistakes but I’m back and better changing between grass and synthetic
@@youriiiboy are ag better for those?
Thank you boss
ive always bought fg boots. I mainly play on not too soft/not too muddy grass pitches and i've also had no problem on AG/ 3g pitches (with the black bits XD)
That’s exactly what the guy in the vid is saying lol u might be lucky but don’t risk it. I got injured recently using FG on articifical grass maybe I would’ve been fine if I was using AG boots
@@iyb5378 or TF boots
I live in the Philippines and sometimes it rains for days on end and the pitch is extremely muddy, while on other days, the weather is relatively dry and the ground is firm, so I need both SG and FG boots.

Biggest fan!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Could you please tell what style do we use on sandy and hard grounds?
I LOVE MY AG BOOTS ORDERING YOURS FROM THE LINK THE NEON BOOTS GETTING THEM
AG boots also have better touch if you like using the underside of your foot for control
our home games are on grass but all our away games are on artifical grass. I don't have enough to buy 2 pairs of boots. Will AG boot be good on grass? When it rains are they the worse choice?
Can you use AG boots on grass? Having more studs seems benificial with ball control.
What boot type should I choose for sandy or gravel type pitches which has no grass but have stones
I’m looking at the Adidas x19.1 AG however this model the heel lining is different compared to the FG & SG versions. Is there a reason for this? Ideally i’d prefer to use AG for astro
The field you're currently sitting looks more like turf than AG?
Thanks.
Can you do a video on goalkeeper gloves
But the problem is some top end boots do not have an AG version. 😫
I like to use fg on every surface because i am a goalie so i get more power in my jump
Pls make a review on Tru tenaci boot
What are the best boots for Turf which are studs based ?
What do you think about Mizuno’s Morelia and Morelia Neo Studs? FG or FG/AG? Of coz Rebula is FG.
You forgot to say crucial thing for wearing FG boots on AG is that you can get stud pressure. And you won't even notice until it's too late.I did it and got blisters on both of my feet and it hurt walking for 5 days or so.It could be worse.
So basically AG boots are the safest overall in all pitches but if you can afford it’s good to have something like FG boots to play on real grass as well?? Would you recommend something like 2 boots 1 Ag and one Fg if you can afford or 1 Ag boot would do good overall? Any suggestions guys? Would really help.
I can only buy one pair of boots per year, and I normally get fg. However for half the year we train on artificial grass, should I wear my Astro turfs or my fg boots, and also is it ok if I wear my fg boots on artificial grass.
I would really love to have a boot with Fg sole and anti clog Treatment. This is the perfekt allround natural grass option for me
honestly, if you play on the new generation of artificial grass, FG boots are as good as AG boots on it, but on older artificial grass, AG is a must, couple years back I used turf football shoes and it is really good. About SG: I dont think it is worth the money (they are usually little bit more expensive), and even though I play on really dry and bad pitch a lot, just buy something cheaper or dont buy anything, you wont use it more than 10 times and by that time your feet is too big (unless you are an adult)
Ik what you mean about the feet growing but, sometimes the cheapest may not be safe enough
Edit: as in you might get injured or the boot might not be built durable
@@amananand6049 I agree, but the point is that some artificial grass is similar to normal grass and it doesn't even matter
@@kosmakjiri144 how do u know if ur pitch is similar to the new gen ag pitch?
Nice 💥⚡
Do you sell (do they even make!?) a top quality AG boot in a size 1? My 7 year old has recently (Dec 20) had a knee operation for a torn lateral meniscus!! He trains on AG pitch twice a week then plays on grass at the weekend. He plays for a professional team and his safety and development is a high priority. He’s got a pair of SG for muddy match days, we retired his mutators FG boots after his injury and gone with a academy superfly 7 AG boot which is alright but I’m after a high end spec boot like an elite or pro. Any advice?

Can you share your experience with tempo? It's been a year since your comment
@@Va1nqueur Be careful with Tiempos on AG. The 4th Gen AG is okay for Tiempo. But older AG's are damaging the leather of the Tiempo (if u use FG). The AG version of Tiempo's have a protection on the front of the boot, so the little plastic / ruber things in the Grass wont damage ur boot.
What boot should I choose for hard ground?
When dealing with this dilemma, I decided to choose the Adidas Copa Mundial boots as they are meant more firm ground pitches, but have conical studs for AG pitches and I feel have sufficient penetration on SG pitches. Hope this helps :)
The artificial surface can be hard on the real leather
@@martinf213 really? I haven’t had any problems with the boots on artificial grass.
@@martinf213 I mean…artificial grass obviously feels less comfortable that regular grass, but as I said, I haven’t really had any problems.
If you are on a budged and you play on FG and AG pitches, but you need to decide if you buy a AG or a FG boot I would go with the AG, it works on both grounds. As he said, If you go with the FG boots you can only play on FG ground. (Without breaking your ankles)
What about multi ground boots? Will they work on mostly everything and will they be beneficial
Is it fine wearing fg on turf grounds where the artificial grass is a little longer?
