Wanted one of these for a long time, just didn't want to spend the money. Your tutorial was great. Very easy to follow. I'm gonna make mine with very small pleats for my smocking projects. I'm going to allow myself to make it over a couple days so all the lines and scoring wont drive me insane. Thanks again! I LOVE IT!
This is one of my fave videos ever! I am amazed by what I can learn on YT. But I wish all videos were this well done. Simple, easy to follow, funny & thorough. Thanks!!!
OMG that was awesome. I am just learning to sew and such.To see something I thought looked impossible done so simply...well that is just great. Thanks for your help pleats look a lot less scary now.
OMFREAKIN-G!! Better than pleating individually by hand, far-FAR cheaper than buying a machine (or tool). Genius. I can't believe how diy still manages to astound me.
Awesome video...thank you so much for sharing..going to try it today...loved the head in the door..made me chuckle..got distracted watching the door to see what other funny stuff he might come up with..too cute.
Absolutely loved it. I am going to make my own. Thanks so much for this. I've been looking for a pleater that was longer than the 11" or 22" offered and now I can customize my own! Great job.It will be worth it to create my own.
omg!! you just save my project!!! i have 2 mt x 1.50 mt fabric that i need to pleat and i started manually like folding every edge... 4 hours later im only like 30cm in!!! crazy!! im gonna go to the the craft shop right away and get me some poster board and spray glue! thanks soooo much!!
Now that's a tutorial!! Wow, that's awesome. At first I wasn't sure where you were going with the adhesive spray and material, but it turned out great. I'm about to make a pleated skirt and I might give this a try. Thanks a lot! :)
I have to thank you very much for putting this tutorial online. I was about to despair, because I can't find anywhere pleated chiffon fabric. And all those Pleating Machines are very expensive! Now i found your tutorial and you just made my life way easier! I am going to pleat the chiffon myself with your method. :) I hope it works well. Again, thank you so much!! *___*
OH! this is fantastic! Thank you! I'm planning to sew a dress from burdastyle magazine with pleats and they recommend sending the fabric to a professional pleat machine, but with this tool I can do it myself!!!
Yeah I'd say poster board is slightly too think, you want the edges to be as crisp as possible. You can get lining paper from a DIY store in the wallpaper section. Really cheap and loads of it on a roll incase it takes a couple of goes to get right. Good luck!
Perfect! thank you. I know that high temperature fix the silk permanently, but usually we don't wash silk, do you know if there's something to fix permanently a pleated fabric even through washing/humidity situation?
I love your video. This is exactly what I was looking for. I was just wondering if the liner you used was smooth. All the ones I have found have had textures on them. Would it be possible to use the back of the liner? Any advice would be appreciated.
Ha ha, the husband's head sliding down the side of the door( 1:25) made my day:))) lol:)) What a character!:))
Thanks for sharing:)))

I think you are the smartest lady in the world.
You genius! Thank you for this video!

Amazing. Ty.
What if I want to pleat a circle skirt?
Ohhh good, this is perfect, are they permanent???

Depends what material you use, something like silk would stay pleated
I want to end up with 1in pleats how would I mark please
Thanks The glue is genial.
soo...im doing a score in both the lines? the 3.5 and 2cm? and does it matter which one i fold backwards and forewards? thanks.
wow..its amazing !!$
Thank you for your upload. It's helpful.
Where can I find the big ruller like you use in your video?
That might be very easy to grab. :)
Can it be any lining wallpaper? Or it has to be an special one?
Awesome!
hey can u recommend any substitute for the wallpaper lining, how hard is the material has to be?
are those lining wallpaper thick or thin? becuz i tried it with poster board and it did not work! and where can i get lining wallpaper?
What kind of paper were you using? And where do you get it?
what type of paper used?
I speak Spanish
Very good video !!!
Thank you :D
Please, can you explain what is the "lining paper"?
is it the same of "wall paper"?
Can you make a box pleating board ?
muy bueno
when it is washed wouldnt the pleats disappear
What kind of lining paper is that.
substitute to spray adhesive please?
I am thinking that a yard or a yard and a half of Buckram would work. Maybe two yards
Will the fabric keep the pleats after washing?
Aranel If you sew down the pleats but they need to ironed everytime it's washed regardless.
You saw it!!!! Tears rolling down my face laughing! Yeah silly man
Great.
Someone commented that you have more videos but there are none listed? What's up? Add more!
Thx!
Good vid floating head lol
Your photo bomber is cracking me up.
Double sided sticky tape maybe. Not something watery though as it will make the paper bubble
Pardon my language, but, fucking brilliant!
A thin sheet of card would do the trick
c o o l
I made it with Woodprix handbooks !
EXCELENTE
