From Normandy: it was a delight to take a lesson from you about making these very styled curtains and drapes. Also appreciated a lot your lesson about "how making a chandelier" : they are fine ! Bravissimo for both tiny wonders. Thanks to you. katherine

This is a fantastic tutorial, thank you so much! You are exceptionally talented!! What type of super-glue do you use, I’ve never seen brush on super-glue before?
I enjoyed this twice. I'm more contemporary but your process should work for me. How often do you burn your fingers? Thank you
Hahaha a lot! Actually you can see if you watch super carefully at one point I kinda flinch 😆 I made some contemporary style curtains for a lady without the tieback and swag, I stitched silver rings to the top so they could hang directly from the rail 👍
I was enjoying this then I saw something I’m doing a double take on. Did you make a cuppa tea from the same tea water you dyed your fabric?
Haha good spotting! 😆👍
Tell me you did not drink the tea from the silk dying 🙃 fabric is treated with crazy chemicals (sizes) before being sold.
Love it what kind of fabric did you use?
Silk dupioni and cheesecloth 😊👍
I would like to buy some already made ones from you... do you sell?
I tried to copy but my silk frayed and wouldn't fold with the iron !
Hi Victoria, are you sure its 100% silk? A dupioni silk should crease like crazy and if its good quality/high thread count it shouldn't fray too much either if your reasonably gentle. I also found it creases best in one direction but not quite so easily in the other (90 degrees) if that makes sense. Sorry difficult to help over text 😬. I'd say keep experimenting, theres always more than one way of getting the results you want! Good luck ❤😊
What glue are you using
Mostly almost dried superglue, it goes gooey and gel like and is less likely to stain your fabric. And I used a bit of pva (white) glue to stick the cheesecloth on towards the end
I am actually Blooms Village on Instagram 🙈🤭😊
Haha oh I didn't think of that! Things may get confusing around here 😆💕
Where did you get the rods from?
Made them from brass rods and beads, then spray painted 👍
Do you work in the drapery industry to know how to do this?
No, I was taught to sew by my gran when I was little, but I just figured these curtains out through trial and error 😊👍
Great video, but I had to watch it in silence due to the chronic background music that I found particuarly painful, and also quite inappropriate for this type of content. Shame about the background music choice and the lack of a voiceover, which would have helped a lot.
Ah! The wonderful mute button ❤ I use it in so many videos.
Beautiful work! Did you fix the silk with anything or is it all just the water/heat process keeping it in shape?
You can use a spray fixative, but try it out on a scrap piece first to make sure it doesn't stain. I don't bother though. The creases stay just fine in my experience 😊👍
