Apparently I will watch literally anything Tim Rogers puts up. Also: how much box art do you have to look at in your life in order to be able to deduce, with remarkable accuracy, the box art for a game you have never seen and possibly didn't even know existed?
If you also watch as much Tim Rogers as I do (and by the sound of it, you do) then you know full well the man eats, sleeps and breathes video games (not to mention works them in an absurd number of different roles across the industry) and has done so since being a small child. All my respect

Amazing job Tim! For your next video, I would like to see you match up songs from different games using short audio clues. Let's test your video game music knowledge bro!
When I saw my first Action Button video and Tim mentioned having an upsettingly good memory, I was like "haha yeah he probably does remember stuff more than usual" Now, after hearing him almost perfectly recount from memory the evolution and motifs of entire franchises' worth of box art back to back to back... my god, he wasn't joking.
If you didn't know, Tim actually has a super rare condition called hyperthymesia. It makes it so you remember like everything in your life. Only like 60 people in the world have it.
@@wisteriaviolet5697 more specifically, hyperthymesia has a lot to do with your emotional connection to events, which is why Tim can very easily recall whole days of his childhood from memory, but he gets the box art wrong for very recent games which he just doesn't care for much.
There's a bit in his Boku No Natsuyasumi video (which you should watch, it's the best video on RUclips period) where he describes his Hyperthymesia as "recalling a very embarrassing event that made you feel bad then and makes you feel bad now, but 90-100 times a minute" which makes his true memory powers so much more frightening.
Great video as always. Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 2 already exists, it was amazing. Finished on a cliffhanger over 15 years ago though and still no Dark Alliance 3 😥
"Timprisioned in your head." New haircut is great, complements your clothing and body language more. Decisive/sharp movements with a splash of wandering?
In one of Tim's Action Button videos he comments on how at Kotaku they had daily leaderboards of whose videos were getting the most views, and how he knew his stuff would never get near the results of, for example, just showing Keanu Reeves at E3. But I'm sure, as time goes on, Tim's videos will probably be some of the most evergreen content on Kotaku's catalog, while trendier stuff spikes and dies down.
At first I saw 58 min video and said this is dumb. I’m not gonna watch an hour of someone rambling about video game covers from some dim memory...yet here I am 24 minutes in
I kept waiting for the Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II box art to pop up while you were talking about wanting to make it. When it didn’t I had a minute where I thought I got Mandela Effected about that game already existing and had to search for it to make sure I hadn’t. I’d play the heck out of a Tim Rogers developed Dark Alliance III though. You should do a bonus clip where you describe Dark Alliance II’s box art.

Handsome boy Tim and his sharp haircut! Nice. I dont think i've ever seen this much of his forehead before. I noticed a scar! BATTLE HARDENED AMERICAN BIG BOY
I bet the statistics for this video are fascinating. anyways good video Tim, better then your sunglasses one, having just a little more structure makes it more interesting.
37:00 I played the Japanese import of this game and beat it (and enjoyed it) not knowing a word of Japanese. I had to hack my ps2 I remember. I later played the NA version and remembered it was considerably easier, and that they gave Vincent a double jump which allowed you to traverse a lot more stuff you couldn't so easily in the original. Also the final boss was much easier. Wow, been years since I played that. Also I remember the camera controlls were set to be naturally inverted, because that actually makes sense and my friend trying to play and saying how it was "messed up". To this day I play inverted. I always felt like if your camera is on an axis, and your viewing from the back of the camera, if you want to look left, the back of the camera goes right. Does that make sense? In my brain it does.
It was a great idea to not show the box art to us viewers until a bit of time had passed, both to give us a chance to remember, and to try to imagine what he's talking about. I think the timing was perfect for all of them
There's this game called Timelines in which you draw cards with all sorts of different events, movies, albums, etc. and then have to put them in the correct historical order. Start with two cards, draw a third, and then need to determine where it goes in relation to the other two. This continues until you've run out of cards. Not a great game in that after you've played it once, you sort of just remember how to win, BUT!! I think the concept could make for a fun video. Get fed a list of games and try to order them in order of release.
