This scene of the darkness is possibly the most game changing cutscene in all of Destiny. It was the only cutscene where it was just our guardian, they were the only one talking, and there was the darkness. It may be weird, but that’s what is so beautiful about it. The darkness took on a form that we would recognize. (I have a theory that it is our guardian in the future) it’s so off-putting and unsettling that it’s magnificent. I love it so much.
Yeah I really like this cutscene as well, can’t wait to see how they’ll expand the darkness storyline. That’s an interesting theory about it being a future version of our guardian, but yeah it is strange seeing our guardian acting like that
And that theory might be correct because in The Stranger’s timeline, we succumbed to the darkness not to long after going to the black garden in D1 vanilla
The scariest thing about this, is how the darkness directly informed us through lorebooks after this, and how he even convinced me their ways are right at some points. They make sense.
Keep open mind, Guardian. *[IT]* springs out of Lies with 'half-truths'. [warns] do wish there are more from the [Light]'s & the [Traveler]'s like [Constellations] in order to Counter Against the *[Darkness'],* even if it was mostly focused on in the Speakers' POVs.
The Nine (and the Drifter, by no fault of his own) know where it's at. A world of only darkness and a world of only light are terrible in their own ways. You need both to have balance.
What if the “Pyramids” were just sitting there ever since the collapse, but when that huge amount of light the Traveler gave off reached them, that was all they needed to kickstart their ships and they headed to the Moon.
@@Agnt-Pain They’re paracausal entities. One cannot exist without the other: they were created before the beginning of the universe or by some higher being.
Boy have I got another theory running through my head after watching this again. I have a hunch that the traveler is significantly more powerful than we think. I think that it destroyed ghaul on mere whim, like brushing off a fly. The power of light it propulsed through the system was a challenge. A display of power. To reach the outskirts of the Sol system is a power overlooked I believe. The traveller found it's enemy and issued a challenge. "Come. I am here. My army of light bearers are here. Come, Darkness."
I like to point out that the light wave was gone after it touched piramids. If they only stood slightly further away maybe w wouldnt have destiny 3 just saying
@@ukulaleb4160 Either the [Light]'s [waves] passed through the *[Darkness] Ships* very quickly going beyond making us think they 'disappeared' once making contact with *[IT].* Or like what you said.... That doesn't mean 'we're' going to go down without a Fight, yes? [tries to reassure]

I think the lore was that the traveler and the darkness made a bet that the guardians would use the light for good, not bad, and the traveler couldn't interfere, since the traveler woke up(helped), it woke the darkness and they came to, uphold the deal kinda, that's what I think at least.
I’m so dumb, I just realized how they hinted at the DLC’s, it goes mercury(curse of Osiris), mars(warmind), the reef(forsaken), then the pyramids(shadow keep)
I swear they already knew what they were doing for the future of destiny 2, the tangled shore, the pyramids, saturn (KF raid return) Mars (for free roam and witch Queen) and even the witness.
All the places the travellers is touching I presume there future expansion content We have been to Mercury (Curse of Osiris) We have been to Mars (Warmind) We have been to the tangled shore and dreaming city aka parts of the reef (Forsaken) The moon under saturns ring presumably Europa because beyond light will be based on Europa
I agree with you, although Europa is a moon of Jupiter, not Saturn. I’d say Saturn is shown because of the Dreadnaught or Enceladus, or maybe even Titan if it plays a role in the Witch Queen
Redstonemelon I think originally the witch queen was supposed to happen in the dreadnaught and right after forsaken before the split but now it’s going to happen in a brand new destination

The dark exo has the best creepy voice
VFX A-310 absolutely! It’s definitely the best out of all the other race/genders in destiny
Just missing the creepy face tho
Did they change the voice actor because he sounds different
DICDAC DOE.
It’s probably because he’s older.
