I've watched a lot of your videos Eric, but I have to say that I enjoyed this one the most. Thanks for bringing us along for your side trip with The Hoss!
Hoss, many of us younger guys are interested in keeping the traditions alive, but in this economy the cost of scraping by comes first. its why I APPRECIATE the youtube crowd. at least I can see the firearms I cannot afford right now. Thanks Eric!
Eric Brandy I pre-judged you sooo wrong the first time i saw you on video... Since i watch EVERYTHING you upload and couldn’t have more respect. You are THE very best, your dedication and real ness is unequaled. Take Care Bud, J.R.
Thanks Eric and Hoss for sharing these fine firearms and their history with us. Thanks guys. I would not have ever been able to see firearms like this if it wasn't for you guys sharing them with us. Thanks again.
Hey Erik, do you think the UK, American special friendship exists? Actually that question was directed at any American watching this. Thumb up if you do, opposite if you don't.
Eric: you & Hoss were great. What an excellent vid & your knowledge of guns was very educational. Makes you really appreciate the old ones just as much as the new ones from the Shot Show. So thanks and again for the excellent vid.
Boy you aint lyin Tony. These are two of the coolest cats on all of youtube hands down! I have picked up more about antique firearms from watching Eric's channel that from any other outlet. You can tell he is passionate about the history of these rifles. His old Mosin videos are some of my fav vids on youtube. Great video Eric and Hoss!
Great video. In 2010,I was fortunate to shoot one of the Gattling guns used in Spanish American war.(Owner, sadly since deceased.) As far as the guns, you purchased a Turkish alteration of a Commission 88. Most of these have an "S" on receiver indicating modification to the more modern bullet.Described as 88/14 in a 1974 Q&A in the American Rifleman (Scarlata's book describes as 88/05), some care must be taken when shooting with .323" bullets (try to get copy of AR's '74 article). The Martini-Henry Cadet was originally an obscure .310 round, with the importer modifying to the more readily available .32-20.Keep vids coming you're one of my favorite channels.
My father brought back a arasatka back from WWII. Crazy powerful 7.7 rounds. Also it looks like the stock on the one you showed was re-finished. This was very common, just like mum being ground off. Great video man!!
I wasn't jealous of you guys being at Shot Show, but I am now! Love those old historical guns. Art that you can buy and use...LMFAO at Hoss and the bear..
I thought about checking out that show, but was so busy with SHOT this year. BTW love The Range 702, I shoot there often when I come into town from Pahrump. Its a great indoor range and the wife can get some coffee at the shop while I am shooting :) I will have to check out this antique arms show next year..
Thanks for giving us a quick look at those Turnbull guns brother. I really admire the work they do with classic firearms, I don't know that I've ever been more impressed with restoration work! Maybe one day they will be in my budget... great work guy's!
I could watch hours of this. With only scant refinement, you could make a killer series out of this concept. Put Barry in the mix and it would be gold.
Nice. I was wondering what I saw you guys getting lol. Someone could easily spend a lot of money there if they have it. Some really awesome stuff to be had there. Some of the coolest things I think was an actual 4 bore rifle, close to the Turnbull table if I remember correctly, a few Borchardt C-93 and Bergmann 1896 pistols, which I swear I will own someday. Also in the big room with all the 20k-100k+ rifles and shotguns room there was a beautifully engraved double barrel bolt action rifle in .416 which I thought was just absolutely amazing.
I actually HAVE a Madsen M47...I think the only reason the Colombians bought them was that the Danish sales reps brought a boatload of Aquavit and Scandinavian Babes with them to the sales meeting...funny you should mention the FN49...by the time those M47s were delivered, the Colombians had bought the FN49 chambered in .30-06....as soon as the M47s arrived they were sold to Sam Cummings of Interarms..The Colombians had also been busy rechambering their 7mm Mausers to .30-06 - A fellow Collectors Club member here in FL had myself and my bud clean his .30-06 chambered Colombian Mauser up for him...the cup style buttplate was caked with petrified mud...most likely it was used by a soldier as a walking stick in the jungles of that country...The marking "Fuerzas Armadas" mean Armed Forces...NOT as I'd also been told, "Naval Forces". CB in FL
ah there's a few Arisaka's here in SoCal at my local store, Fieldtime. check the consignment section they are decently priced. though the most beautiful one Ive seen in person 2 years ago is sold. had the the emblem intact and the most rich bluing i ever seen i have a feeling it was redone but if i bought it i doubt id put anymore than 80 rounds in it. it'd be more of a safe queen as much as i hate doing that.
Great video guys! Very entertaining!
Good stuff, you guys looked at way different stuff than I did
Thanks for the tour of the guns you like and know about !
Some of those old timey guns are just beautiful.
Don't get them all buttery.

I wish you had a TV show.... Awesome video. I'm sure I could've watched for hours!
Hoss, many of us younger guys are interested in keeping the traditions alive, but in this economy the cost of scraping by comes first. its why I APPRECIATE the youtube crowd. at least I can see the firearms I cannot afford right now. Thanks Eric!
Two of my favorite RUclipsrs just hanging out. Best video I seen all day.
The van might be the coolest thing I have seen in my life!!!!!
I think this is my favorite shot show video from anyone for 2014 so far! I just love the old one's.
We're selling that Gatling gun (@8:19) in May for anyone who's looking to spice up their living room.
I appreciate you guys being sports about us filming.
Eric B Of course! Thank YOU for spreading the little known history of what I like to call the "Canadian-vasion." They had it coming.
Rock Island Auction Company Those darn Canadians!

Thanks Eric and Hoss for sharing these fine firearms and their history with us. Thanks guys. I would not have ever been able to see firearms like this if it wasn't for you guys sharing them with us. Thanks again.
What a great idea for a video! Awesome job guys!
Hey Erik, do you think the UK, American special friendship exists? Actually that question was directed at any American watching this. Thumb up if you do, opposite if you don't.
Surprised not to see any Mosin Nagants, yes they are widely available but they are just great rifles and a real piece of history
Eric: you & Hoss were great. What an excellent vid & your knowledge of guns was very educational. Makes you really appreciate the old ones just as much as the new ones from the Shot Show. So thanks and again for the excellent vid.
Awesome to see a video with both of you. How did you become so knowledgeable about all old and new firearms? Besides your service for the country
Two cool dudes :)

Best vid from shot show yet!
The ivory/bone inlaid wheellock pistol at the top of the arrangement... @ 8:11
Beautiful piece.
Thanks for the upload guys.
NICE production, Eric! Very interesting and entertaining. Y'all have a safe trip back home, ya heah.
I like the old stuff, thanks folks!
best looking AR i have ever seen
At 1:42 I think that was a M1819 Hall breech loading rifle. It was kind of blurry but It was right before the Kentucky style flint lock
Beautiful historical pieces with stories I wish I could hear.

"Yeah, I was thinking about wearing this thing"
Trust me buddy, it won't fit, don't even think about it.
Thanks guys you just gave me a starting value for my old 1884 Mauser next to my fireplace.
Attracted me to this channel! Historical C&R firearms! So much history. So many stories.
Much more interesting than those generic AR videos.
My father brought back a arasatka back from WWII. Crazy powerful 7.7 rounds. Also it looks like the stock on the one you showed was re-finished. This was very common, just like mum being ground off. Great video man!!
Garands and Arisakas.... all those other guns with history!! That was awesome... would love to have been there with you!
The guy with the Garands is gonna be wound up when his inbox explodes after this.

Hoss has a great channel!
That sure was a beautiful wood stock on the M1 Garand Hoss was holding! Thanks for showing off some cool historic guns Eric! :)
Some nice rifles you picked up!
Score! Those were some great buys! The best I've done was a Berthier Mle 1907/15 for $120 CDN, as a bonus, it came with the original leather sling!
Please do the Antique Arms Show next year, too. I learned a lot.
I wasn't jealous of you guys being at Shot Show, but I am now! Love those old historical guns. Art that you can buy and use...LMFAO at Hoss and the bear..

I REALLY LIKED THAT YOU GUYS SPENT SOME TIME WITH DOUG TURNBULL, I'D LOVE TO SEE MORE HIGH QUALITY CUSTOMS FIREARMS ON YOUR SHOW
Hi - you mentioned the caliber was 32-20. Most Cadets are chambered for the .310 Cadet round. I've had one of these and sold it recently. Thanks
Really enjoyed this video. Thanks.
7:55 so steampunk it's insane
Excellent show. Good to get more stuff on old weapons.
Great, fun video! I'm a fan of the older firearms myself.
The Hoss is getting bigger and bigger :-D
This is way more interesting then the "new" stuff in your other shot show vids.
Thanks for giving us a quick look at those Turnbull guns brother. I really admire the work they do with classic firearms, I don't know that I've ever been more impressed with restoration work! Maybe one day they will be in my budget... great work guy's!

Great video, I learned a lot on firearms I never new existed.

It was sad not seeing the younger crowd there in the background. now that I know its there looks like I have a new thing to go to next year!
Beretta also made Garands in .308 (7.62X51) for NATO in the early '50s.
great video, thanks
Nice to see something new (or old) :)
Nice vid, great Hoss humor ;-), you guys make good footage together.

The Hoss is a funny guy!
Strong fart noise at 1:47 . You two are clearly good bros, haha.
I would love to see some of your older firearms in your collection!

Love it!
That mortar would be great for a dog that likes to play fetch.

At the turnbull booth those .22 rifles on the rack look like one of my grandfathers rifles
