Shot on a BlackMagic Pocket Cinema 6K, original BMPCC as a B-Cam, Edelkrone JibOne and Moment CineBloom Filter. Color graded with FilmConvert Nitrate. Recorded with a single AEA R88 stereo ribbon mic through a HendyAmps Pollock Compressor and mixed on an API Box 2 Console.

Incredible sound. Unbelievable how the AEA would capture such a balanced guitar sound from that far. My guess is that they were trying to sing very soft to make this sonic balance. Congrats to you and them!

unfortunately she sounds phasey and he actually is louder on the left side especially in the beginning. I think moving them more in front of the mic would sound more natural. She almost disappear in mono

That’s one of the downsides to blumlein sometimes. In this case, I went with what looked better for the visual shot as opposed to getting them sounding right and having to shoot them both from the side and having them both centered. If this were for the record, I would have just placed Amber on the back side of the mic and centered her as well.

No its perfection for the main vocal ...put just a layer track for the girl she let a blank on a the 1st take and complete her solo part on her take ( 2) with a better micing position ! You love the idea?🤔❤️ You will deal with just 2 tracks
