    Extra notes:
    1. The visual style would be more stylised. Realism has had its day and it's time for something different.
    2. The Krypt can stay, but now with collectibles in set locations again. The randomisation shit can eat my ass.

      I actually think Mortal Kombat does not do well with extreme realism.
      MK does better with a bit of stylizing so that the move set could work better.
      I don't think that it should be too stylized though. Something like MK11 perhaps but more variety in designs and vibes.Especially with the supernatural stuff to go extra with it and make it exaggerated and cool to watch.
      As for unlocking.. Please for the love of all casual fans.MAKE EVERYTHING UNLOCKABLE WITH KOIN.. My friend couldn't unlock mask less Skarlet for over a year and a half

I have a strong stomach for gore,but 11 is just downright horrific with fatalities..Too long and too graphic...MK9 each character had fatalities that suited their personality for the most part,but weren't overbboard..They were quick and efficient.

      @@xxgamergirlxx7917 I agree, MK9 had the perfect Fatalities, MKX was the worst! Also agree about the unlockables, & would just have the Krypt go back to MK9, MKX kollectibles were just long! Also I love the idea of Rival Fatalities & would bring back Tag Team, Test Your Luck, Fatality Training & the Challenge Tower back from MK9 as well! :)

    The NetherRealm games being movies made by Johnny Cage makes so much sense because he and Sonya became the main characters the heroes of the story and he got the girl it would explain Johnny beating shinnok which I just can’t believe

      For sure, the NRS era focusing so much on the Special Forces and Johnny always bugged me because they were supposed to be like, the side characters that ground the audience by questioning all the weird shit in the world, not the main characters. The NRS era being Johnny's Hollywood portrayal of events in his life makes WAY more sense

    Another thing I'd bring back is something deadly alliance and deception had where it would show the player which character is easy to learn like scorpion being difficulty 1 showing that he is easy to learn and beginner friendly or Kenshi being a difficultly 6 to show that he's more for long term players and he's not for beginners

      I mean, the issue really comes down to the fact that a character isn't going to be uniform in terms of how hard it is to learn them. For example, I find extremely difficult to learn zoners and grapplers come more naturally to me, but my best friend finds grapplers the hardest to learn and rushdowns the easiest.
      I'd definitely say at least add a sort of tag of the general archetype the character is intended to be.

      Kinda sounds like a more ambitious version of Dead or Alive: Dimensions, a game that retold the first 4 DOA games' stories in order to have a clearer canon for future sequels, though that game had a few retcons and apparently not all of them were very good ideas, according to Snake's Wasted Plotential video on Ayane.

    If they do a retelling of MK4, a new telling of mythologies should be added. Either as a separate mode, or DLC, as those two game tell their own story, that's mostly separate from the rest of the games.

      I wish MK12 story was a reboot again, when Fire God Liu Kang received visions from Kronika before he defeated her and immediately removed Fire God Liu Kang from existence and destroyed the Hourglass so that no one would shape history, This also destroys her entire existence so no one would tamper with the events of time, and bringing the timelime back to it's original roots without Kronika, and if Shinnok gets killed, Armageddon would happen because the balance is destroyed

      How would you even handle a prequel game set that far back?
      We have the Great Kung Lao, Shang Tsung, and Goro, but not much else works for the setting. Like you can arguably put Kitana and Jade back then as well, but that doesn’t really add to the story.

      Obviously The Great Kung Lao will beat Goro in Liu Kang timeline they would have to start from scratch Kitana and Jade could be in it since they are Shao Kahn personal assassins but their stories might not go nowhere cause they be evil serving Shao Kahn being jobbers.

    Commenting this before seeing the video:
    What I'd want is a game that takes risks, exactly like Deception. I want a game, that has the balls to ditch most of the 2D era characters just for a little bit, and make a big overhaul of the entire world and 3D era characters. In a comment I made on the "Why I haven't kritiqued the Midway Mortal Kombats", we saw that it's possible and really easy to do so. Then the next game could reintroduce the classic characters in this new era, while the newly redesigned old folks stick around and we finally get to see a fully-fledged world that doesn't rely on the same old 12 characters.
    After seeing the video: Yeah your ideas are really good!

    There is literally no reason to not have Mick Gordon do MK.
    His Killer Instinct soundtrack is THE best fighting game soundtrack to exist, bar none. He just exploded in popularity with DOOM.
    More over, bring back Shao Kahn narrating fights and offering his approval or disapproval. With the way Mick Gordon makes his fighting game soundtracks, it could be dynamic to where the music actively fits Shao Kahn's current satisfaction with the excitement of the match.

    Would recommend also including a canon skill tier list that's updated from era to era. This would be a five tier system from Very Easy to Very Hard, and should be used as a guideline for who beats who in a straightforward fight. Additionally if one takes the Tower of Time modifiers into account some characters can have specific story mode perks to as a nod to what would otherwise be a game breaking powers such as Geras having regeneration, Raiden having enhanced lightning attacks and lightning fists, and Scorpion having fire immunity.

      @Martin Toledo This isn't power levels, it's skill levels. It wouldn't be that Kano has barely any health and damage that causes his defeat, but his inability to fight at his full potential. Fighters could still also hold back, but with this we would also understand their current limits for when they're not holding back. I would also think that story-wise it would help resolve the issue of characters always losing when unplayable since we'd understand there is a concrete difference in skill to explain why they lost, and would also offer more opportunities for them to win as long as the low tiers aren't just the villains.

      @@piggythegod7828 It should be fine as long as it's optional as a "Canon" difficulty setting alongside the basic ones. Seeing as this is supposed to be true to the story altering it for the sake of convenience would be contradictory to the very premise.

    If I'm being entirely honest, I agree that I would be perfectly fine with them toning down the fatalities all across the board. Some people wouldn't like it, but considering the stories of Netherrealm employees suffering PTSD from all gore the had to research and animate, I'd rather have less over the top fatalities if it means less people have to suffer.

      Less is more - that's what would make fatalities work better both for animators and players. This over the top gore is mind numbing and fatalities are boring to watch when they take too long .

      I definitely agree, it’s why I like the brutalities in the newer games more than the fatalities. They’re violent, but don’t drag on forever like fatalities.

      I have to agree, I dont really like how a lot of the fatalities in 11 feel wayy too exaggerated. I would much rather have fatalities that are simple, yet look more unique and creative rather than just organs and gore explosions.

    About the blood thing. I have read so many comments around the internet about how "silly" it is to ask if blood can be disabled in [insert MK game here]. I've seen a number of people get laughed and scolded at for asking or suggesting it.
    Honestly? I don't see why the suggestion is so tabboo to people. I mean... the Midway games had such a feature---Armageddon certainly did. Even more contemporary games have a feature like that: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Ghost of Tsushima, the Souls games (not Bloodborne tho), etc. I think in Sekiro you can even control the amount or turn it off completely. I do favor this approach! Just like you've said about certain hero characters, it's so jarring to see Johnny Cage take a torso of his enemy and literally make a joke out of it, like the bloodied cadaver is a friggin puppet on display. That's something the friggin JOKER would do. Also too, if its done right, having finishers be more in-character or character specific will benefit the general feel of the villains/very powerful/lethal characters. They can feel like the THREAT they're supposed to be.
    When you have an infernal fire spectre being OUT-BRUTALIZED by a 17 year old special forces rookie, it makes the drama feel weird. Like... how can our heroes be in danger? Two teenage girls literally disembowled Movado like it was just apart of training or something.

    Excellent job 4thsnake!
    Here are some things I add or remove
    * Minigames (test your might, sight and luck)
    * no more Krypt jumpscares
    * no augments or Konsumables
    * letting you pick the main color and accent color for the costumes (without having to unlock them)
    * not having to unlock intros or variation icons
    * Brutality practice (for learning the specifics of the Brutalities although I'd make it to just hold a button)
    * being able to preview round taunts and Brutalites when you unlock them
    * being able to specify how much your AI character does Fatalities or Brutalities if not fully disable it to make the rounds quicker

    What I really like about this is the archetype mechanic.
    Fundamentally, Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke having the same basic moves and strings, but Each one changing it based on their specials/personality is cool,
    Learning a set for Cyborg, and then being able to decide between Set-up (Cyrax), Zone (Sektor) and long combo/pressure (Smoke) would make learning characters much more streamlined for old and new players

    I like tour idea for themed guests, following your logic:
    MK4-Doomslayer fighting hell forces
    MKDA-Ash Williams, resurected army, deadites, it just clicks.
    MKD-Conan the Barbarian, fucking stupid i know but, barbarian vs The Dragon King.
    MKA-Lobo from DC, the last survivor of his race, just trying to get the Big Score.
    MK9 to MK11, kinda blank, but it's a neat concept

      I can't think of much for 9 but for 10 I would say maybe someone from Fast and the furious or John McClane would be alright. (Central theme of family or that kinda thing).
      For 11, I say Kung Fury. The story is all about time travel and crazy characters doing somewhat nonsensical things and committing absurd acts of violence.

      @@flair541 I would say for 9 era Kratos has to come back, I've never seen a character that practically can just fit right in. (Obviously after the tone up the gore/more Norse Era abilities with GOW Ragnarok) but having Old/New variation would give some great character to the fighter

    I like the concept Snake, however, about the story mode I have a suggestion: I think it should be just one story focusing on the main character (Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya and others) while the other narratives could be DLC, focusing on events completly separate from the main story (a DLC focusing on Sindel, one focusing on Scorpion and Sub-zero). This would allow the story to have a more natural pacing, with beginning, middle and end, and not feel like it's jumping from one unrelated event to the other.

    Something i really wanted in mk11 was the ability to choose the color for the basic powers of the characters, like, it would be so cool to have Sub-Zero with red or gold ice, Scorpion with purple or green fire or raiden with white lightning. I think this would give a lot of freedom of expression for the player.

    I kinda like the idea of an MK12 set in the ancient era.
    You could make all kinds of characters based on the current era.
    1. A warrior cult ancestor of Johnny Cage. One who is more humble but far more rutheless then their descendant, clashing with Kung Lao's pacificistic monk upbringing.
    2. A previous Night Wolf, perhaps in a time when the Matoka lands were free.
    3. Kenshi's Warrior King ancestor.
    4. An Edenian Cryomancer, banished from Edenia for either trying to assassinate or not preventing the other Cryomancers from trying to assassinate King Jerrod.(In the malibu comics some Lin Kuei tried to do this. Making them Edenian cryomancers could make more sense, and justify Sindel for banishing them-they betrayed their people and helped the invader). Eventually the Cryomancer joins the Lin Kuei and become ancestors of the human cryomancers
    5. Twin assassins of the Lin Kuei. One with powers like Hydro, the other with fire powers. They start out as close siblings, but become rivals, or one feels disgraced by the Lin Kuei and becomes the founder of the Shirai Ryu. With the other starting a romance with the Cryomancer which will one day lead to the Sub Zero family and Frost. Fuse the Scorpion/Subzero, Kuai Liang/Bi Han relationships into one.
    6. Gorback and a few of Goro's wives could make appearances
    7. Have Barakka's grandmother be one of the older champions of Outworld, giving ground to Goro who she helps train, and to who she instills a warrior honor(cause Shang Tsung likely didn't teach him that.
    8. Maybe one of Reptile's parents, or the Matriarch of his clan before or just after they were conquered and were being destroyed.

    I agree with the fatalities complaint. Was watching those “fatality rating” videos, and literally the entire basis of the ratings were off of how gory each fatality is. If a fatality was too “quick” it would always get a lower score, and if by the end of the fatality you can’t see every organ on screen, it would get a lower score. I hate how the main appeal to these games now is the brutality of it. Like, of course the brutal nature is a big staple of the games, but it isn’t the ONLY thing. But I feel like all anyone talks about now is “oh my god, that fatality with Mr. Spinklburp where he takes out each bone one at a time and blows up the opponent was so cool!”

    I'm personally ok with one Guest character being released per season. I feel like it makes the crossovers feel more suspenseful than forced, which is why NRS' overload of guests for one singular Kombat Pack feels a bit less special the more they release. I also like the idea that the guest fits the theme of the specific season too. It would make the guests' inclusions make a lot more sense.
    If I had to pick a guest character for a Mortal Kombat game however, I'd probably go with Pinhead. There's so much creative potential to be had with his intros/outros, move-set and fatalities, since the Hellraiser franchise has a lot of great kills that could be adapted into a Mortal Kombat game. If they manage to get Doug Bradley's likeness and voice for the character, I feel like he could be a good spiritual successor to Spawn and the closest we'll get to actually having Spawn appear in another MK game since he was pretty much wasted by bringing him into MK11 of all NRS games.

      Coming up with ideas and knowing how to implement them in reality are 2 different things. Since these things are team efforts, the ability to work well with others must be considered. Have a bunch of "great" ideas isn't enough by itself.

    For my ideas in MK12, I'd bring back the Kharacter Kreation from Armageddon, only fleshed out and now include races from other realms. Plus I'd add factions for a CAC like how MKX and XenoVerse 2 does it only you have to choose one and not the other. And for another idea I could reboot MK12 about is to give NPCs something to work off on in Konquest mode if they bring that back. The Krypt this time would have to be not third person, but actually first mainly for getting the belongings with koins you obtained from Konquest (ranges from sapphire, onyx, jade, ruby, gold and platinum)

    On the one hand I think Doomguy is a perfect fit for Mortal Kombat, on the other hand he'd be a zoner... even though that doesn't make much sense for the character. I just don't think NRS are adventurous enough with their mechanics to make a guy with guns not a zoner.

      Doomguy's guns could reserved to meret burn moves and he could use his fists and the crucible in his normals. It would not be the most accurate buuuut...

      He'd have the Super Shotgun as a special move, a mid-range sort of demi-projectile, maybe it destroys projectiles, I don't know. When you land a string that ends with his chainsaw, doomguy levels up his shotgun special for a single shot. (If NRS aren't cowards make the enemy drop ammo pickups like in the game as part of the animation). Level 1 trades the shotgun for rocket launcher, which fires a duckable projectile that destroys other projectiles and launches to extend combos. Level 2 would be the pulse rifle, he'd fire a mid-hitting burst of plasma bolts followed by a large stun blast that restands enemies and keeps them stunned (like Cyrax's net gun). Level 3 would be the BFG, an unblockable mid projectile that holds the target in place for a few seconds before exploding, launching them for a bigger combo. After you fire the weapon, it resets all the way back down to the super shotgun and you have to build it up again... although you could always use a chainsaw string as a follow-up to their combo-extending properties to get back to the rocket launcher.
      He'd also have strings that end in the flamethrower, upgrading doomguy's armor and giving him a single hit of armor on his normals (or maybe his specials), that stacks up to three packs.
      If he'd have a true projectile it'd probably be grenades for setplay. I dunno.

      Yeah. I'm no game developer, but I think that although I find most of his ideas good, if you were to put everything he said in this video in just one game, I'm not sure if it would be possible without heavily cutting down other file sizes somehow. If MK11 is alreagy 100GBs, this concept of his could well enough be over 500.

    I wish instead of the graphics going for a realist look they would go for a more animated feel. Maybe look like the animated films or like how street fighter V is stylized or ultra street fighter 2 on the switch. Maybe a perfect blend of all 3 of them however that can be done. This way every fighter would take less work to make and the DLC can come out quicker and hopefully take up less storage. I have been wishing MK would at least try a look like this but they are to focused on making the gore look real. you can have more fun with the gore if the art style is cartoon-ish IMO.
    That and basically everything you said would be the prefect Mortal kombat game to me.

    10:07 If it were to allow costume customization I would say they should include the sexy female costumes of MK past and let the player decide if they want to utilize it or not but then again when player customization is involved I want the most possible. Aside from that(which I don't think you were really arguing against you just noted that NR doesn't tend to do sexy for female characters any longer) like usual it seems I tend to really like your MK ideas.

    This really highlights the issues at nether realm, because almost everything in this transforms into the games we got, when you add in the factor of higher ups demanding things for more money.
    "So we'll reboot it, right-"
    Make sure you start with 1-3, because that's what fans will eat up.
    "Okay, but we'll get some fresh changes in there-"
    Nothing too different, fans won't like that.
    "Well, after all that we can expand it with mk4"
    Make that it's own game, sells better that way.
    "We can introduce new characters to replace overdone ones, like this slick new mercenary character to fill up Kano's defacto role"
    Yeah, sure, but keep the old ones too, they're fan favourites.
    And with all those limitations, we'll always end up cornering ourselves back into a timewipe reboot plot line, like armageddon and kronika.
    What the series really needs, is to remember it's called Mortal Kombat, but now has nothing to do with the Mortal Kombat tournament. A fun game isn't hard to find, just no one will commit to it, we need to have a Mortal Kombat tournament game, without just rehashing the same exact plot and characters.
    Have literally any other realm as an adversary and let out world fuck off finally. Let's a bunch of new characters, locations, plot lines be introduced, and skips just repeating "now this character is a zombie, now this character has a new hat".
    Imagine a plot line where the tournament is observed by another realm, with the lower ranking officials suggesting they challenge the previous winner earth realm to Mortal Kombat, so they can impress their ruler with their ingenuity and strength. Having a ruler who personally doesn't care about conquering earth realm, but will step in when he sees his own fighters being made fools by defeat, sending in the strongest he has and providing a new challenge.
    Having an enemy strong enough to win, compared to outworld and the nether realm who are always just weak enough to lose without cheating, that's what we need. Hype it up as the realm Shao Kahn knew he could never conquer, with a leader passive enough to resist the one being's influence.
    Maybe even let Kai exist again.

    Concepts for guest characters are always so much fun, like, an intro for the doom slayer would be specifically first person, with a Netherrealm demon charging at him, and the perspective changing to third person with the firing of his shotgun, showing the demon getting blown apart from behind.

    This is a great idea but I'm hung up on one thing. WHO THE FUCK SAID THERE WAS NO ROOM TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE GORE IN MK! I started with a bundle of Deception, Shoulin Monks and Armageddon on PS2 and even back then Fatalities weren't as needlessly brutal as they are now. Once they were dead, that was it. Now every character brutalizes a corpse in their Fatalities. If I made MK12, I'd dial it back except for characters like Molak who it makes sense for

    I’m terms of gameplay I personally would want MK12 to stick with 2D (that’s just the style I prefer) but incorporate elements from the 3D games as well like air combos and stance changes where each character has two styles that they can switch between to change their normals and alter a few of their specials e.g. Liu Kang has Shaolin Style and Nunchaku Style where a punch flurry is changed to a Nunchaku spin that nullifies projectiles . Some styles could be shared between characters like the aforementioned Shaolin Style being used by Lao, Kai and Jin in order to save development time as I would want it to bring back everyone for a second Armageddon . This is probably asking for too much but I’ve always wanted MK to have full on super moves ,not just you hit someone and then a big violent cutscene happens no I mean MvC style supers like screen clearing beams and if there are going to be cinematic combo supers make them shorter and seem less like fatalities which would be separate . Also bring Motaro back (with 4 legs) he is one of my favourite characters and I miss him.

    I have a few ideas that could be interesting.
    - Make the story an interactive timeline that branches. So following the original timeline if let's say You lose to Shang Tsung during MK1 you get a different timeline and different events occur. With the ability to use custom characters so you can grind to get your unlocks this way because your forced to play the story multiple times to get different endings.
    -Similar to Warriors games introduce a bond system where fight intros differ depending on the bonds with said character. So for example if you do tag fights (yes they should be back) with Scorpion and Sub-Zero they become friendly towards another and it shows in the intros. The higher the bond allows Friendships alternatively the lower the bond allows More fatalities.

    I don't know what I would do with MK12. I already know that it'll be a clusterfuck of PTSD, Crunch time and a severe lack of care for story, probably even a suicide for good measure. I feel that the stories will just get worse and worse without much help for them, so there's no reason to really even try to make anything. I have no talent.

    The sweat idea really had me thinking to the SNES days of MK1 of censorship... Even as a kid who loved playing gory games, I never seemed to mind the sweat or turning off blood when playing with friends who didn't like playing gory games.

    I want for Fatalities and Brutalities to be meshed together into a singular system. If you beat an enemy with a specific attack or in specific circumstances, it's a Brutality. But if you use that same special move when they're dazed, it's a Fatality.
    I want for each character to have like 10 Fatalities and each is VERY SIMPLE and quick, but can be gorey and brutal, or sadistic, or scary, or stylish, or funny, or whatever.
    For example:
    If Scorpion throws his spear, he'll pull the enemy's heart out
    If he uses the teleport punch, he'll toss the enemy back into the portal and send them to hell.
    If he uses his fire breath, they'll burn to death.
    Etc etc.

    Okay this doesn’t work with a lot of your ideas, but I think it’d be cool if for the first game’s section of the story, there was another explorable version of Shang Tsung’s Island, kinda like the Krypt from MK11, but you’d travel from fight to fight there as Liu Kang or something, and there ideally wouldn’t be any giant spiders.

    To add on to the idea of certain characters not being able to seriously hurt or kill others (like the Cages and Briggs, as you've said) I personally think that some characters shouldn't be able to perform friendships with others. For example Sindel, Kitana and Jerrod can't make friendship with Shao Kahn. Would help make the fights just a tad more immersive.

      Adding onto that I think fatalities for certain characters can be implemented. As you stated sindel, kitana, and jerrod would not make friendship with shao kahn but they can kill him in a brutal fashion. Characters like liu kang and johnny can still perform fatalities, though it would be more of a necessity rather than enjoyment of taking a life

    Story structure wise per game:
    - MK and MKII stories will be in one game. Personally I found them trying to cram three games worth of narrative into one game very dumb. Not to mention how fast they told it in MKIX. However, if we're going to retread and reintroduce these characters. This is the way I would go about it. Have the two games whose narratives are similar to one another in one game.
    - MKIII will get its own game I believe the earthrealm invasion has a lot going on, thus it requires its own separate narrative. With that said, I would say Special Forces should added here.
    - MKIV and mythologies stories would be in the same game.
    - Finally all the games afterwards will have their own separate entries. Fleshing out things that were not properly told in the Midway era, Nether Realm era of games.

      You're asking for multiple games from different eras to be combined into new remakes and still make sense? No way that's ever gonna happen. What's being considered here is a layout for a possible MK12, not an entire redo of the series. It would be much smarter if you proposed condensed "modes" encompassing core games, which could be played in any order. Expecting the entire series to be combined, reworked and fixed is a pipe-dream. You need to be more realistic with something that is feasible and likely to happen.

    Well, both the video and the komment section have some really kool and kreative ideas and I recommend you give them a look. Here are some ideas of mine as well:
    -Stage transisions and Test Your Might (and maybe the punching interractions as well) from MKvsDCU returning (just in the stage transitions you lose only the health you lost, not the health the opponent loses as well). Each kharacter kould have different animation for these. Different animations for kharacters kould also apply for normal "Test Your [insert anything]" as well.
    -Kharacters appearing in menu screens with still painting/like images or little animations (preferably different kharacter for different menu). Shang Tsung as a roster and/or fight announcer, Shang Tsung/Chameleon/Khameleon(/maybe even Quan Chi) in the middle of transforming or Johnny Cage or Mokap in the middle of khanging costumes for skin menu, Johnny Cage putting on gear for gear kustomisation, the Kollector on the kollectibles/kontent menu, Skarlet for blood variation, etc.
    -The khapters are based on themes, not kharacters.
    -Kutscenes kan be skipped and you kan khoose which khapter you wish to play. This feature gets unlocked once you komplete the story mode once.
    -No DLC day 1 krap. Also, every named kharacter with moveset is playable (honestly, I hope all named established fighting kharacters with models in the story get movesets and become playable).
    -Klash dialog. It kould be used to make a nice story put of the fight and provide more kharactrization and lore, but I understand that perhaps some people want this as just an Injustice festure so Injustice will have something to truly differrntiate itself from Mortal Kombat.
    -Team finishers/intros/outros(/clashes). If you're playing two or three kharacters in a tag matchup, you kan make your kharacters perform a finisher (fatality, brutality, animality, stage fatality or friendship) together or have them share an intro or outro that a kharacter would normally do on their own. We kould even have team intro banter, where all the kharacters take part in the intro dialog (such as in a case of Scorpion & Sub-Zero vs Shang Tsung & Quan Chi for example we'll have 4 lines of dialog, 1 for each kombatant).
    -Kharacters from outside MK media as DLC (or even in the story).
    -Some generics as NPCs (or even playable). I'd love it if they were actually playable.
    -Different skins have different intros, outros and dialog.
    -Some story mode fights kan have only 1 round or you kan perform fatalities or brutalities. Perhaps that kan also be used to impact the story.
    -Kontent includes fan-made kontent (fan-made tracks, videos, memes, fanfics, etc), obviously with the people who made them being kredited (unless for whatever reason the kreators of this fan kontent wish to remain anonymous).

    What I would do is have Liu Kang and Raiden begin the timeline again, but have unique changes. Example being: Hanzo being alive and the Shirai Ryu never being slaughtered, Kung Lao and Liu Kang in the tournament to represent the monks, changing Bi Han’s motivation back to being assassinating Shang Tsung, Quanchi doesn’t exist/is a little bitch as he should be, etc.

      Quan Chi: should be Evil but Loyal to Netherealm unlike Shang Tsung who definitely has full loyalty to himself (contrast).
      Kuai Liang would have a different style or even a seperate codename (Tundra?) and I would have his ice weapon be Twin Swords/Dual Blades (Similar visual style to Cao Pi DW8) rather than Bi Han/Sub Zero having Axe MK11 or even why not give him a short Halberd
      As for Noob........ Eh let's go the "Clone" Route storywise

    My only thought/addition for MK 12 would be how story mode is handled. As I envision it as a Trilogy type game, I'd ditch the idea of a chapter based story mode. Instead, a Kharacter based one. You pick Baraka, for example. You playthrough Baraka's story mode. With all the fights being meaningful and representative of key moments in MK or his personal history. Reaching the final fight would give you an Arcade Mode style cutscene.

    This would be the perfect game however some stuff the 4thsnake added that I would change or add (my opinion)
    1. no heroic brutalities
    2.the return of test your might and other test your "__" but you get different rewards for multiple completion
    3. it remakes mk1 to armeggedon but drops the rest and continues with armeggedon part 2
    4.a better gore similar to mkx and not the red paint from mk11
    5. A krypt going through different realms
    6. The story fight system is like sf and the player can start on both sides

    I actually like the idea of characters that won't kill each other. Maybe if say Sonya were to finish Jax it would turn into a heroic brutality instead and be a non lethal version of the same finisher. For example if it was the fatality where she decapitated the opponent with a garrote maybe she could use it to restrain him in an embarrassing way. Also I wouldn't be opposed to some less dramatic fatalities. I watched the most recent ones and just keep thinking "ok you got them already you don't have to mangle whats left

    not fully on board with the story ideas, more so because it’s unrealistic with how aftermath ended (inb4 NRS proves me wrong and just does mk9 again) but i love your ideas for finishers because holy shit they’re dull now.

    I really like the concept of seasonal contents you've presented, like things shouldn't just stop in a year or two. But I'm still trying to understand your version of story mode.

    My idea:
    1. Aftermath was all a dream. Lui Kang & Kitana restored the Netherrealm timeline. Lui Kang's Ladder ending is Canon. Argus, Kotal & Jade also become Elder Gods. The realms that Outworld absorbed are divided with Li Mei as the new Kahn. Rain's status as the son of the sister, or cousin, of Jarrod means he rules Edenia before being overthrown.
    2. Ermac's Ladder from X is canon. Shang Tsung tries to steal Shinnok's soul from his severed head but gets absorbed instead. Shinnok resurrects Onaga & Shao Kahn under mind control. Shinnok raises an army of Wraiths & Onaga's Undead, as Revenants are too weak & Spectres have free will. Shinnok is revealed to know all 5 forms of necromancy & taught Quan Chi the 3 that use souls from the Netherrealm as opposed to undead, which requires souls taken from living bodies (What Shao taught Shang Tsung), or Soulless Zombies. Shao Kahn also knows all 5 but didn't know where the army was.
    3. The 4 Protectors, Fujin, Taven, Abacus & Zaggot, go to find someone to replace Shao Kahn & Lucifer, deciding on 2 new characters. This is done while Shinnok is operating in the shadows. Takeda's X ending being canon & Daegon being killed during 11.
    4. Sub-Zero & Sareena are revealed to've gotten together while looking for Bi-Han. Cassie gathers her team, plus Kuai's Son & Kai, to stop Shinnok. The new Outworld Protector & Li Mei Kahn, having united the Centaurs & Shokan, has 3 new characters from Centaur, Shokan & Outworlder species join them. They also recruit 1 member from each race.
    5. Noob & the 4 remaining Revenants, turned Wraiths, act as generals alongside new Wraiths, like Kintaro & Motaro, underneath Shao & Onaga. It is revealed that Wraiths lose all the powers they had in life in exchange for darkness manipulation & higher physical capabilities, but since Kabal & Stryker only had physical capabilities & darkness is more versatile than Smoke, Nightwolf is the only one negatively affected by this. It is revealed that the reason Revenants were used instead before because they were easier to create, as they're exact copies of how they were in life, sacrificing quality for speed.
    6. Cassie fights Shinnok in the end, while Jin & Kai fights Shao & Jacqui, Takeda & Kuai's son fight Onaga. The Wraiths are delt with by Hanzo, Sub-Zero, Sarenna & the new recruits to Cassie's team.
    7. Shinnok & Shao escape, with the ladder being infused with Onaga's soul & regaining his freedom but agrees to stay with Shinnok as Sith-like duo for the 13th installment, with Shao trying & failing to overthrow Shinnok.
    8. The Dragon clans are shown to be unified after Daegon's death under Mavado.
    9. Mirror characters, like Kano & Mavado, take up 1 character slot, but different skins.
    10. Everything the4thSnake said about appearance & Move set I agree with, but the gear should only appear if you select the gear skin. It functions like Injustice 2, but they don't physically appear unless you choose the gear skin, so the classic skins look as they always did.
    11. The fighting can be either 2-d or 3-d, but all the story 1v1 fights are 2-d, while all handicap matches are 3-d.

    Mk12 I think should be a telling of the great kung lao’s story, he’s had a bit of lore building but I’d like to see him beat shang tsung, lose to goro and with liu kang in raiden’s position have kung lao take his spot as the chosen one. Maybe have it do the tournament where great kung lao beats tsung, dies to goro and mk1 with kung lao being the chosen one be the last part of the story.

      Prpbably because of her blues blood so YT wouldn't mess around...but Robocop or Predator could have been also used then... You're right, he picked D'Vorah specifically for this
