- Visited Statue of equality in hyderabad which is the world’s second largest sitting statue of Shri Ramanuja Charya who’s work involved bringing the knowledge of vedas to common man and promoting equality between all the castes in the country. The foundation stone was laid by sri sri chinna Jeeyar swami and inaugurated by prime minister narendra modi to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of shri Ramanuja,s teaching by building the statue of equality.

Area: 34 Acres
Made up of Gold, Silver, Copper, Brass and Titanium
Surrounded by 108 Divyadesams (Model temples)
It includes an educational gallery
and a Meditation hall. It Also Houses a Small 120 kgs gold Statue of Shri Ramanuja Charya.
Project budget: 1000 Crore

I want to correct you at 1:19 . Ramanujacharya didnot try to eliminate caste system , he said that no one should be deprived from Lord Srimannarayana's mercy i.e entry to temples for everyone & he preached Ashtakshari mantram to everyone who is interested . He said that those who are interested in doing kainkaryam to lord and those who do saranagati to lord will receive mukti i.e vaikuntam irrespective of their caste & their work .
Their cast system aa...what is cast andi..the life style one follows is called cast that's what our scriptures told. If you know the puranas the great sages were not born as Bramhanas still they attained mukthi and reached the God head with their surrenderness to the Lord.
Yee cast systems came into use during invasions of Mughlais&British. Before that everyone followed Sanathana Dharma. Due to few selfish people in olden days our whole Sanathana Dharma has been forgotten and the British people has taken the advantage and divided our system into 3 parts..muslim, christian&Hindu.
Swamy Ramanuja is the one who opened to the temple doors to all Varnams. He mentioned everyone has a choice to follow their own religion and respect other religions.

It’s time to stop using the word caste which is a Portuguese origin word. The so-called “caste system” has been greatly influenced by the colonial period. Ramanujacharya would have known nothing about this word.

Hi Bro,
Its a great informative vlog, But I recently went to the statue and now its very secured and mobile phones are not allowed. They have the entry fees as well. They will give one tour guide for 108 temples which will have the brief explanation of temples and they are charging 500 for this, which i felt is expensive though this is optional. More of all we dont have patience to listen all to that detailing. Other than that, all the temples and the statue were OfCourse massive and exquisite. Now there is one rain dance also be shown which is dedicated to Sri Ramanujacharya, which is beautiful. It took around 3-4 hours for the visit. It was indeed a great experience.

@@nehajain5850 As it is in outskirts of the city, better to make own vehicle, because you may not get the cabs while returning. It will take around 3 hrs. Evening there will be fountain show.
