    Detta va mycket bra tips för karossmontering på en 1:12. Jag behöver kolla denna film igen vid hösten då jag ska köpa en ny kaross till min 1:12:a.
    Jag vill se till att den nya karossen verkligen hamnar rätt och nu vet jag hur :). Tack.

    How do you figure out the body heights? I run the bitty lsm 19 so I'm not sure where I should be at

      Front lip height is about the same for most bodies, as low as it can go without dragging. Rear height depends a little on the bodyshell's shape. And a little trial and error. Usually a bit higher than the pre marked wheel wells is a good starting point for most bodies.

    On which body post hole is the body supposed to sit for the Protoform AMR?

    • @hagberg
      @hagberg  3 года назад

      It depends how much of the front lip you cut away. Usually the lowest or 2nd hole.

      Thank you. Yesterday I finally mounted my Protoform AMR-12, and I noticed that for a 80mm distance between the top of the rear wing to floor the rear body posts are not long enough. I used 5mm plastic shims and that is still boarderline (needed even more). Am I doing something wrong?

      @@stefanosfragos6484 The bodyposts are a bit short indeed and you will need to shim them up by 6mm or more depending on the bodyshell used.

    What kind of glue do you use on your front tires? I’ve been looking for a good kind but I am not sure what is good.

      Any thin CA will do. I use the black glue from Hot Race Tyres. But a lot of guys prefer a thicker glue for gluing sidewalls as well, for example AKA.

      Thanks, they sell AKA at my local track I will try that.

    Where can I buy this body style for 1:10 260mm wheelbase?

    • @hagberg
      @hagberg  2 года назад

      In 260mm, I am not sure. But 1/10 pan car bodies are available from many manufacturers in 235mm width, such as the Protoform Vulcan or Swift.

      Look up Delta Plastik.. they have a body called Lola VDS, it’s a 1/10 Lola style body in 200mm wide, and can be used for 230mm-260 wheelbase with some custom trimming of the wheel
      Keep in mind, it’s meant for nitro cars with very low front shock towers, so if your car has higher shock towers the body will not sit flat in the front. I use a heat gun on my body to mold it over
