Lugaw, also spelled lugao, is a Filipino glutinous rice gruel or porridge. Lugaw is widely regarded as comfort food in the Philippines.
Lugaw contains saffron, ginger and sometimes meat. Other ingredients include boiled eggs, pepper, chilies, lumpiang toge, tofu, fish sauce, calamansi sauce, toyo and spring onions.
