Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition/Age of Calamity: all Focus Spirit, specials, weak point smashes

- This video covers the main cast of both Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition, and Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. Ganon and the giant Cucco were not included in this. Also for some reason, Terrako doesn't seem to be able to trigger his giant boss WPS anymore. After trying for a long time I just went ahead with the video. If he does trigger it again, then I'll make a separate video covering him, Ganon, and the giant Cucco.
1/28/23 Edit: I missed one animation where Ganondorf plunges his swords into Gohma's eye. I'll make another video with it and the other characters.
0:00 Focus Spirit animations (DE)
11:05 Specials (DE)
15:47 Specials (AoC)
19:40 Weak Point Smashes (DE)
23:37 Giant Boss Weak Point Smashes (DE)
30:29 Weak Point Smashes (AoC)
36:27 Giant Boss Weak Point Smashes (AoC)
Thanks for the Time Stamps.
I never realized till now that the focus blast at the end of the focus spirit gague does more damage than the on command version that reveals weak points
Thank you for this! It's great seeing all of this in one place. Also, I really miss Linkle.
You’re welcome. There’s another planned video in the future once I can get Cucco again.
19:46 bro saw god
Imao I don’t know why this got me dying laughing 🤣
How was Young Link's final smash NOT his Focus Spirit Attack? That would have kicked ass as a final smash.
34:11 Master Kohga: I did it? I did it!
Hm, this was a very impressive compilation, you did good with this one.
Still, did Age of Calamity not have any Focus Spirit Animations?
Also, did not every Character have a unique Weak Point Smash for every Giant Boss?
Focus Spirit was removed in Age of Calamity. The closest to the mechanic is Ganon's Calamity Mode. Link was the only character with unique animations to kill most giant bosses with. That's also specific to his 1H sword.
@@zomaskingdom I see.
@@zomaskingdomIf Focus Spirit was in Age of Calamity, how would they play out?
@@xxroyalprincexx6811 I’d guess it’d play out similarly to Calamity Mode given the game environment.
@@zomaskingdom And the special attacks when you're in Focus Spirit?
27:30 Warlock Punch ?
That's what I was looking for and more, just missing a timestamp but anyways, this is perfect, thanks
So, about weak point smashes, what about all the ones you didn't show?
It should say in the description that a part two will be down the line. I just haven’t gotten to either game in some time.
@@zomaskingdomI c, thought it was the game's fault for not having a unique weak point smash for each boss
I think Sheik also has that one special Weak-Point Smash animation for Manhandla where she goes right through it. Or maybe I'm thinking of Gohma. 🤔
Edit: And Zelda with the rapier has one on Argorok where she shoots it multiple times.
Do you like the first or second game more? Was thinking of picking one up.
I prefer the first more. The second game is extremely repetitive because of how it designed. It also doesn’t have the battlefield management of other Musous.
@@zomaskingdom that's what I was thinking. Seemed like the first had more to it. Thanks.
@@ravagedDust The first game is just simply designed as it should be as a Musou. Plus the game rewards you for understanding combos, etc. Age of Calamity forces you into performing weak point smashes over and over. There’s no other viable form of damage unless you’re Cotera. Enemies pack permanent hyper armor, and the moves designed to stagger them are so late in almost every character’s moveset, it makes it really unsafe to commit to. Dodges were nerfed drastically in safety. The most annoying part is because of all this, and how weak your moves naturally are, the weak point gauge mechanics are so intrusive there’s no other way to play. It’s highly repetitive, and there’s no endgame either. Assuming you do want to endgame grind for weapons and seals, it is very anti-user friendly. Only two stages are capable of dropping max stat weapons, and you need a tremendous number of a rare, specific seal to increase the odds of getting that perfect max attack weapon. Getting rusted variants is worse.
@@zomaskingdom it's strange that they would make a sequel but not improve upon the prior. Well thanks for helping me make up my mind.
@@ravagedDust Well it is centered around BotW rather than multiple games in the franchise. BotW lacked officer types to pull from, so most of the enemies you fight are giant bosses. What I’m most confused about is why everything packs permanent hyper armor. You’d think a Moblin would feel a tinge coming from a giant sword hitting it in the butt.
You shouldn’t have had Link’s Hylian sword and his Master Sword in the same video, don’t increase the length of videos just to fit in more ads
None of my videos are monetized lmfao. RUclips’s ad policy changed last year I think it was? Go read up on it instead of accusing me of stupid things you have no proof of. The Master Sword was included because maybe I wanted to? Ya know, for people who want the content?
