Sure you have shield rockets in TOTK, but I much preferred Revali's Gale, and well champion's abilities over sage's abilities overall.
Revali was unironically my favorite champion in BOTW. IMO he had the most useful ability, the coolest divine beast, and was the only champion who wasn't born with powers, but instead got them by sheer will power and training. (Iron Man anyone?) Watching his cutscenes made me realize he resented Link, and rightfully so as after all that training he wasn't chosen as Zelda's appointed knight, a role that was given to a random guy "destined" to be it. He seemed to like Zelda a lot, while Link was indifferent to her in 90% of the cutscenes, so that must've hurt even more. I love the grumpy bird boy, and all his cutscenes and dialogues are fantastic. I'm gonna be sincere and say I grew to hate TOTK for basically deleting the champions divine beasts and all the good stuff from BOTW. Specially Revali and Kass. But I'll admit Wind Temple, Colgera an Tulin were my favorite part of TOTK. The rest just fell repetitive, not as good. Tulin is so cute it HURTS. hahah
I feel like this very much reinforces how exemplary of a warrior Revali was. The champions abilites were passed down in their bloodline but Revali wasnt a blood a line descendant at all and srill was able to create revali's gale.
When I saw Tulin in Tears of the Kingdom, I admittedly teared up a bit. He got so big, and the first thing he did was greet Link with a smile with his wings wide open. I just wanted to give him a great big hug!
Sadly, we don’t get to hear Teba get voiced at all in Tears of the kingdom, it’s cutscenes like this in Age of Calamity that makes me wish we had more heartfelt moments that are voice acted
Absolutely PISSED we didn’t get cutscenes like AoC in TotK. I wanted more moments to hear the characters interact too rather than just lil grunts here and there.
Easily my favorite Vow Companion in the game. Climbing the sky with him felt a lot more epic than the other quests but its also the fact that this guy has gotten more character development than most Zelda characters because he has appeared in 3 games
Tulin growing up to be the Wind Sage, mastering the Great Eagle Bow and Mastering his own iteration of Revali's Gale means that Revali didn't die in vain, he left a legacy for his people and gave them hope
Ngl Tulin managed to make me tear up a bit in TOTK when he took the stone (and not the only time I've teared up playing this, but this was just in such a wholesome way like ffs I was proud of this kid). A beautifully simple yet powerful life lesson. TOTK's story telling is honestly nothing short of phenominal and Tulin is just one of the most lovable characters ever and I mean not to mention what a great companion in-game. Damn I love this game. Why is every facet of this game so perfect?
@@Emily12679 It's a timeline split. AoC is canon, and the fact that the champions in ToTK seem stronger than they were in ToTK proves this. These are the champions that were sent back to stop the Calamity, however they gained some massive power boosts as well and when they returned they were better for it. While the events of AoC don't directly affect BoTW they sure do affect ToTK.
@@megaman37456 i know it’s a timeline split by my theory is that there are also multiverses that have identical timeline splits but play out differently and i aggree of calamity is canon but it could be in a different Zelda universe where the calamity played out differently. The only reason I’m considering this is because when sidon turns up he says it’s an honour to fight with link again which in theory could mean that he is from a timeline where botw did happen too but Nintendo hasn’t said that he’s from the specific Zelda universe that we see
@@Emily12679 The Sidon from ToTK fought alongside Link both in BoTW AND AoC. There is no Zelda Multiverse, it's split timelines, it always has been. This has been officially confirmed. Don't get me wrong I'm not opposed to the idea of a Zelda multiverse, but that's simply not how it works here.

You do realize he was in BOTW too, right? He’s not as easy to notice because he’s not involved in the story, but even in that game Teba mentions Tulin may one day surpass him
@@_AshB45_ not really, there are more clues that say that AoC is canon than not canon, normally a lot of people say is not canon just for the wiki (the wiki doesn’t even talk about the Dlc or the explanation the games give of many changes like link without the Master Sword) or because they wanted a prequel an not an alternative timeline (like OoT didn’t do that before)
This is actually interesting, this make it feel like Age of Calamity in Canon to Breath of Wild and Tears of the Kingdom in terms of the 4 Champions replacements. Because at the end of Age of Calamity the 4 present day Champions do return their present timeframe. This actually helps explain Tulin role in Tears of the Kingdom instead Teba being the successor to Revoli. I really dont know if Tears of Kingdom ever mentions about the 4 current Botw Champions and Tulin being brought into the past to Age of Calamity.
Well these are the successors to the original champions not the breath of the wild ones (as shown by almost all of them having a different skill entirely except Riju).
@Wave and Waves breath of the wild is still mentioned in TotK. Zora Domain still have Mipha statue, which is now sitting at top of a cliff where the Lynal used to be, and Riju journal or Diary does mentioned Urbossa name, which could also have a connection with Age of Calamity because Riju did see and spoke to Urbossa in the past. There is also Zelda Journal talking about after the events of BotW.
Man Rito characters are always so great. Both Medli and Tulin are really great characters who are both young, tasked with important duties to help Link on his journey. Both are willing to save their village/island and are willing to sacrifice.
In my language, Tulin means 'Swift' and I think it really suits him the name. Love this little fledgling. Always saving me doing headshots to enemies. ❤
I have to believe the Warriors devs knew Tulin would be taking his father's role in Tears of the Kingdom and that's why they gave him some time in the spotlight in Age of Calamity.
I love how he went from "I'll master the great Eagle bow!" TO Being actually the new wind sage and actually gets to be tbe master of wind and great Eagle bow 😭❤️
He is by far my favorite. I didnt play BotW so I had no idea who he was but after he welcomed me in sutch a sweet way I was like. "I will protect you. AT ALL COST!!!" Little did I know how strong he really is in game. With his Aimbot Headshots he saved me a lot.

Tulin's probably the best sage story in Totk, since you help him grow up and prove himself. Plus he's with you before the temple starts. And his ability is useful all the time throughout the rest of the game.
Tulin is honestly a surprise to me, even from the trailers as I was wondering where's Teba. I was expecting Teba to be at my side again like in BotW, although I can understand why he was sideline this time around by being the Village Elder and leader of the Rito. Tulin is a reliable comrade at your side and really helped me out with the mobility and the one of five partners in crime, and he's a cool kid that in a way you trained in BotW by showing off your archery skills. Though I would've really love it more if Tulin also had the Revali's gale upward gust, even though there are some fallen rocks from the sky at points and the sky towers.
I didn't even think about it when i played Age of Calamity. Tulin got transported back to the past with his dad. You don't see him when Teba appears, he's in a couple of cutscenes in the middle, and he's not in the scene when they all get transported back ='D Just random Tulin
Tulin the best boii! 🥰 That sound he made after Revali’s compliments is so adorable And how he recognizes link at first met just melted my heart. he’s too precious
I did rito first and fell in love with how tulin was the champion instead of teba. He was so fun and full of life during the quest. I felt like a proud mom watching him help and becoming more powerful.
Tulin has become my favorite companion (granted I also love riju and Sidon). He’s a brash kid, but has a ton of spirit and skill to back himself up-and he cares so much for his tribe. So I’ll forgive him for occassionally blowing some materials off a steep cliff by accident
Am I the only one who noticed right off the bat that Tulin has the exact voice as Killua from HxH the second he spoke in TOTK? (I don't have DLC for Hyrule Warriors so I didn't know he had the same voice in both games)
@@moddedinkling4168 Not gonna lie I kinda didn't think that younger Tulin had the same voice as TOTK Tulin but at the same time in a way I can tell both versions have the same voice just a bit
They really succeeded in making him extremely likeable. Pretty much everybody adores him. One subtle way they did this is that when he's first seen in TotK, he appears to be very stubborn and headstrong and brash, and wanting to do things on his own, but when he sees Link he not only acts like Link is his dear older brother he hasn't seen in years, but immediately accepts his help in the quest (rather than continuing his potentially-annoying "I can do this on my own" attitude). He really triggers a "big brother instinct" in both Link and the player.
Biggest change: HE GOT MORE FLOOFYYYY. Shame his move didn’t keep “Tulin’s Tornado,” but I’m not mad about it. Kids change minds about names all the time and sometimes don’t even bother with the name anymore. He ended up being the one that saved my butt so many times in TotK, whether it’s traveling or saving my butt in battles when I ran out of arrows or I’m nearly dead. Why does his new voice sound familiar tho-
I think they made Tulin the Champion instead of Teba because in BoTW Teba can carry you on his back and that would ruin the experience to travel to the Wind Temple and the boss fight if you can just ride on Teba's back
Tulin is basically Tails. And now he's the new Sage Of Wind after Link and Tulin defeated Colgera Scourge Of The Wind Temple. That giant flying Ice ❄️ Monster creates an intense blizzard. I wonder if that will happen in Sonic's version of Tears Of The Kingdom.

The way he greets you the first time he sees you like you’re his favorite uncle got me
Same. I can't stand Revali, but Tulin is easily my favorite sage.
Revali was unironically my favorite champion in BOTW.
IMO he had the most useful ability, the coolest divine beast, and was the only champion who wasn't born with powers, but instead got them by sheer will power and training. (Iron Man anyone?)
Watching his cutscenes made me realize he resented Link, and rightfully so as after all that training he wasn't chosen as Zelda's appointed knight, a role that was given to a random guy "destined" to be it.
Was riju a descendant of urbosa? (Not trying to contradict u just saying how cool that makes riju if she isn't lol)

When I saw Tulin in Tears of the Kingdom, I admittedly teared up a bit. He got so big, and the first thing he did was greet Link with a smile with his wings wide open. I just wanted to give him a great big hug!
Tulin:One day I’ll master the great eagle bow!
Tears of the Kingdom Enter the chat
*insert headshot snipes*
Man I love that scene where teba gives tulin the great eagle bow
Sadly, we don’t get to hear Teba get voiced at all in Tears of the kingdom, it’s cutscenes like this in Age of Calamity that makes me wish we had more heartfelt moments that are voice acted
Absolutely PISSED we didn’t get cutscenes like AoC in TotK. I wanted more moments to hear the characters interact too rather than just lil grunts here and there.
Before: "I'm gonna master the great eagle bow!"
After: Tulin, Sage of Headshot

Easily my favorite Vow Companion in the game. Climbing the sky with him felt a lot more epic than the other quests but its also the fact that this guy has gotten more character development than most Zelda characters because he has appeared in 3 games
Tulin is officially better than everyone now, he appeared in 3 games :sunglasses:
@@retinazer7652 let's not forget out our man Kogha here
Tulin growing up to be the Wind Sage, mastering the Great Eagle Bow and Mastering his own iteration of Revali's Gale means that Revali didn't die in vain, he left a legacy for his people and gave them hope
Why is every facet of this game so perfect?
the only kid in videogames that doesnt annoy the shit out of me. ily Tulin
I wonder if Tullen and Teba will remembered their triumphs and encounters from the split reality Terrako has created.
It’s my opinion that it’s not just part of a different timeline it’s part of a different multiverse
@@megaman37456 I think that if we get diaries of these characters, they should write about the events of AoC. Even if they thought it was a dream, a reference to it would be great.
Tulin, the Rito’s very own Link. And as such, he became a very trusted companion during my ongoing journey through Post-Upheaval Hyrule. His dungeon became an instant favorite and he’s saved my hide multiple times in combat, on top of his gust ability.
Tulin's grown on me through the dungeon, I can never dismiss his avatar now.
They really did nail the concept of "ugly cute baby bird turns SUPER adorable after breaking their first REAL feather quills"

Teba and Tulin were transported from present day (botw) to the past (aoc)
Revali: “Maybe it won’t be long until you’re Master of the Winds, eh?”
Tulin: *Takes his rightful place as the Sage of Wind*
In my opinion Teba got robbed. He gets built up as the new champion, but nah I guess not.
Tulins happy expression to see link filled me with so much serotonin
this proves tulin is the best TRAVEL COMPANION/FRIEND! he even saved me from that time a phantom ganon was rushing at me and i forgot how to do a flurry rush. THANKS TULIN!
If not for Terrako, Tulin would have had no purpose in his life.
You do realize he was in BOTW too, right? He’s not as easy to notice because he’s not involved in the story, but even in that game Teba mentions Tulin may one day surpass him
@@IAteABoxYeah, but I think what the commenter was trying to say was that without age of calamity, people wouldn’t have known Tulin as much
Except Terrako doesn’t exist in the timeline where TotK happens 🙃
@@rainwitchansy has nintendo said that for sure? just asking.
@@_AshB45_ not really, there are more clues that say that AoC is canon than not canon, normally a lot of people say is not canon just for the wiki (the wiki doesn’t even talk about the Dlc or the explanation the games give of many changes like link without the Master Sword) or because they wanted a prequel an not an alternative timeline (like OoT didn’t do that before)
Tulin, the horizontal Revali
Tulin said Y axis is whack

Tulin is truly best boy character wise and gameplay wise. Those headshots and wind boosts always comes in clutch.
@@MysticWarriorMJ don't you mean they are the successors to the sages? Just a nitpick, your point still stands.
@@Rauruatreides Well yeah they were kinda both to be honest, but yeah.
Totk barely mentions botw happened let alone aoc 😅
@Wave and Waves breath of the wild is still mentioned in TotK. Zora Domain still have Mipha statue, which is now sitting at top of a cliff where the Lynal used to be, and Riju journal or Diary does mentioned Urbossa name, which could also have a connection with Age of Calamity because Riju did see and spoke to Urbossa in the past.
There is also Zelda Journal talking about after the events of BotW.
Tulin really became my favorite Sage in TOTK
Sidon was my favorite of the “New Champions” in BOTW, I never thought he could have a rival in that matter until Tulin appeared
My are Tulin , Sidon, and riju
Tulin is just one of those adorable characters in the Zelda game series that I love 🥰
4:25 HIS LITTLE GIGGLE I CANT RN HE'S SO CUTEE
Man Rito characters are always so great. Both Medli and Tulin are really great characters who are both young, tasked with important duties to help Link on his journey. Both are willing to save their village/island and are willing to sacrifice.
In my language, Tulin means 'Swift' and I think it really suits him the name. Love this little fledgling. Always saving me doing headshots to enemies. ❤
I have to believe the Warriors devs knew Tulin would be taking his father's role in Tears of the Kingdom and that's why they gave him some time in the spotlight in Age of Calamity.
Nintendo was commanding the story. This was no accident. They wanted it all to tie in and set up.
I love how he went from "I'll master the great Eagle bow!" TO Being actually the new wind sage and actually gets to be tbe master of wind and great Eagle bow 😭❤️
Tulin is the sole reason why ive won most of my fights in totk if im being honest
Baby Tulin looks like a single selled organism.
He is by far my favorite.
I didnt play BotW so I had no idea who he was but after he welcomed me in sutch a sweet way I was like.
"I will protect you. AT ALL COST!!!"
Little did I know how strong he really is in game. With his Aimbot Headshots he saved me a lot.
Tulin really is the most helpful for giving me extra time with the headshots and stunning the enemies.

Tulin's probably the best sage story in Totk, since you help him grow up and prove himself. Plus he's with you before the temple starts. And his ability is useful all the time throughout the rest of the game.
yes, they could've done something like that with my favorite one too, which is sidon, a bit of a shame he stayed away until you reached the temple
I instantly recognized Tulins voice actor. Hard to miss the similarities of Killua and Marinette’s voice in Tulin wow!
Thank god Link swooped in and taught Tulin some life lessons, or else we wouldve had another Revali on our hands!
Petition for tulin plushie!
Yay he stopped being a single celled organism fungus
They made tulin in totk look absolutely amazing ngl. Hes my favourite character!
I just realized revali has the blush marks of a young rito. Meaning he was a teenager when he went to die.
I didn't even think about it when i played Age of Calamity. Tulin got transported back to the past with his dad.
You don't see him when Teba appears, he's in a couple of cutscenes in the middle, and he's not in the scene when they all get transported back ='D
Just random Tulin
The rito and rito village has always been my favourite, so glad they have such a cool sage
Tulin the best boii! 🥰
That sound he made after Revali’s compliments is so adorable
And how he recognizes link at first met just melted my heart. he’s too precious
Cristina Vee voiced Tulin for both games. It's amazing.
Hkyshet it’s bennett
Am I the only one who noticed right off the bat that Tulin has the exact voice as Killua from HxH the second he spoke in TOTK? (I don't have DLC for Hyrule Warriors so I didn't know he had the same voice in both games)
@@originalcovergirl1283 Tulin was much younger in Age of Calamity, so you probably wouldn't have been able to tell.

1:03 I know that this is supposed to be focused on Tulin, but jeez that is the most realistic laugh I've ever heard in any animated video game.

Link’s just a short boi
I suspect the shrine of resurrection stunted his growth
he’s a tiny green man
His probably my favorite sage and champion wathever you wanna call him
I mean, he's technally both so either way works
They really succeeded in making him extremely likeable. Pretty much everybody adores him.
One subtle way they did this is that when he's first seen in TotK, he appears to be very stubborn and headstrong and brash, and wanting to do things on his own, but when he sees Link he not only acts like Link is his dear older brother he hasn't seen in years, but immediately accepts his help in the quest (rather than continuing his potentially-annoying "I can do this on my own" attitude). He really triggers a "big brother instinct" in both Link and the player.
The people in the comments who haven't played Age of Calamity asking if Tulin is 100+ years old 🤡
Anyone else wish Tulin’s ability could ALSO do a vertical draft? 😭
I love the foreshadowing in AoC
I actually teared up a bit when he was happy to see Link again. So cute!
Tulin’s a good kid. And surprisingly has the most useful avatar.
The way Revali recoiled when Tulin started jumping up and down. "Oh no! Don't let it touch me! What did I do??"
I love little Tulin so much 🥰 He is so cute, and so strong as an ally!
I can't get enough of baby Tulin and his chubby cheeks! He's so adorable it hurts.
Why does his new voice sound familiar tho-
That would be the fluent and flexible voice of Christina "Vee" Venezuela
Pretty positive she voiced hestu in age of calimity too
tulin got a BIG glowup fr
I think they made Tulin the Champion instead of Teba because in BoTW Teba can carry you on his back and that would ruin the experience to travel to the Wind Temple and the boss fight if you can just ride on Teba's back
Tulin is basically Tails. And now he's the new Sage Of Wind after Link and Tulin defeated Colgera Scourge Of The Wind Temple. That giant flying Ice ❄️ Monster creates an intense blizzard. I wonder if that will happen in Sonic's version of Tears Of The Kingdom.
How to write a kid character properly that's not just a prop.
