- Smash Hits was the biggest-ever exhibition of Sir Grayson Perry's work, covering his 40-year career. Perry went from taking pottery evening classes to winning the Turner Prize, presenting television programmes on Channel 4 , and writing acclaimed books. Pottery allowed him the opportunity to indulge his fascination with sex, Punk, and counterculture, amongst other things, in the most unlikely and polite of art forms. Today he is one of Britain's most celebrated artists and cultural figures.
Popular and provocative, Perry makes art that deals with difficult and complex ideas in an accessible and often funny way. He loves taking on big issues that are universally human: masculinity, sexuality, class, religion, politics, and more.
The exhibition Grayson Perry | Smash Hits was held at the Royal Scottish Academy from 22 July to 12 November 2023. To find out more: www.nationalgalleries.org/exh...

You may not agree with some of the views expressed but there is no denying Grayson Perry is always interesting, original and worth seeing.
Not really !
Yea I’d put him in the Shithead category but certainly an intelligent one
He's an unabashed transvestite.
He likes dressing in female clothes, he likes cosplaying femininity but he recognises the reality of his male body, his maleness and masculinity.
I saw the show a few days ago and it's confirmed he's my favourite living artist. I love the fact that his work can be beautiful, provocative and funny all at once. I also admire how prolific he is across many media. Long live Grayson!
I saw Grayson Perry's art exhibition in Margate, it was really great. I love the contrast in his work.
Went to the exhibition yesterday. Pretty fantastic, particularly the different tapestry series
WoooooW! What an artist. I bow down as a humble colleague.

Can't believe I missed this. 😢
I love everything about this work.❤
thats because you are a deluded dumb ***
Always good value.
One of the few artist I can stand to listen to. So honest and entertaining! There's that nasty word... I defy you to find another artist who can say so much right off the top of his head! Maybe Hockney?
Very good
Your gallery for art very interesting
His mom certainly misnamed him Greyson... should have been called Rainbowson 😘
Reminds me of Vivienne Westwood 🤔
His 😆 u he reminds me of the dude in Back To The Futuro?😂; I muted the vid at first as I was just curious bout the obra themselves…’ the German was his stepfather’ lol😢
I wonder if you've ever considered breeding with 'Smeggy' Gervais [that kind of cheese]!?

That creature remind me from the film:
The Navigator Flight
1986
British has the darkest sense of humor which American lacks
Contemporary bloody Rubish ! He seems to be trying to force branding himself and it all comes out as trash. Ohhhh it's creative all right but it's fruitless, and I refuse to pay for that privilege.
But you can’t deny that he has the voice, resource, and platform that most people don’t
Ya it is like those people who create Ponzi Schemes. Like Elizabeth Holmes of Silicon Valley Not an artist but the same difference, She Branded herself, Was A Sweet talker, Had Great political connections, A High Tech platform. She sold investors on Hot worthless air. Art is nebulous and a better way to scam people and impossible to prove when duped.
