Not sure if this counts, but it’s something I found interesting- The cutscene at the end of Rivulet’s campaign is different depending on whether or not Pebbles still has the music pearl. That means it checks to see if it was stolen :)
What changes if you have stolen the pearl? I don't think I have the heart to do it myself

You can kill moon as well after reviving her. She even has unique dialogue for it. Also try throwing spears at her lol.

i love Moon's reaction to the guardians, and that they even added it in! it sounds like the kind of thing you'd expect them to ignore since it shouldn't ever be possible

She also reacts to HLL if you perma-died in her can. I'm uh, ...unable to visit her as Gourmand..... I even began a new Hunter save and the HLL is still there so the game waits until perma-death or ascension before it spawns it elsewhere.
Imagine if the stray cat you liked came in with a defense drone or something. That'd be terrifying.

I just checked the rainwolrd wiki, and learned that if you bring a singularity bomb to moon and throw it, she will scream “WHY!?”
I love how there is specific dialogue for the red centipede, it’s so OP that even a god must respect it

I just realized this might be a joke tying together actual bugs and computer bugs and somehow never noticed that.

2:08 Actually the reason for it was quite simple: There was a bug with the ending cutscene where the tree image layer wouldn't load properly sometimes leading to that weird uncanny look when Rainworld first released. Some players thought it was actually an ending but when it was in fact a bug that sometimes happens randomly. Eventually the Downpour devs eventually made it canon for those without level 10 karma, forcing the layer not load on purpose! It was a case of it a bug actually eventually becoming canon!
I haven't found anything even close to this info when I was researching for it

About the tutorial, you can also skip the scripted rain by going immediately for the shelter (and beyond) and skipping the food that Iggy wants you to eat.
Additionally i found out that you're literally blocked from jumping over the tutorial gap without crouch jump. There is invisible wall if you try
In Co-Op the second player is allowed to just jump over any way they wish

9:21 fun fact: you can actually find the dopefish graffiti in submerged superstructure room MS_CROSSOVER01 (the same room that leads to neural terminus as spearmaster), it's placed on the left side of the room which is completely inaccessible so you have to use devtools to see it. i was pretty surprised when i found it cuz i thought it was completely unused or something

I didn't want to search for every single graffiti and if it was used, and since the information about them is really scarce, i assumed all the graffiti with the "uqu" prefix in the files were unused
I was surprised to see dopefish at all, I thought it was a meme only in boomer shooter communities really
If you're going to make a part 2 here's one I'd suggest:
During my Saint campaign I played with Slugpups For Everyone mod on and would adopt any pups I came across. I tried my best to take care of each one I encountered, but if they died I'd continue on with the cycle. Eventually I found two in undergrowth, but had to abandon them because trying to carry around a slugpup in your arms as Saint while running away from like several large centipedes is an absolute pain in the ass.
Now, I might be insane but _I swear_ the ending cutscene of Saint becoming an echo flashed images of *SAINT AND MY SLUGPUPS.* This means that the periodically game saves screenshots of your own personal Saint run. (as opposed to like, the images that the overseers show you which are set in the files)
Yeah, it actually does! It's a cool feature, same thing happened to me with my slup :)
Can confirm. The images seen at the end of saint are screenshots from your computer taken at random during the campain.
+1 for that. Played saint with jolly coop and all my friends were there.

@@dramaticaloverload you can find them in the %appdata% > locallow > videocult > rain world folder filepath under the names SJ_0, SJ_1, SJ_2. with each corresponding to a different save file. i also saw my friends in some of the screenshots haha

4:55 The same thing happens if you just ignore Iggy without killing it and instantly head outside the tutorial area. It just turns into a regular cycle.
Tbh I found it more intriguing that for the tutorial to function, you need Iggy alive
@@Calvus_Calvususactually this does have a use, you can leave the tutorial with full food if you kill iggy, also some more about the tutorial is that the first leap is forced, there is a literal invisible wall stopping you from passing.
4:52 you CAN kill iggy in the tutorial without cheating. Just enable jolly coop and set your character to spearmaster.
8:46 I actually got that screen somehow on my first playthrough, thought it was normal.
Fun fact, the unused graffiti at 7:58, I use that as my PC's back ground. :D Don't ask why, please. (Also I'm like 99% sure that it's a reference to the 'Three wise monkeys.' There are four, one of them not really being talked about unless you know your stuff. The forgotten, 'do not commit evil' of witch I think fits for five pebbles very well.)
if you visit moon as rivulet on a different campaign (after completing riv's campaign), moon has dialogue stating that you look familiar to her
2:36 I found the pipe leading to the Saint's secret room, but I didn't get to the room itself and assumed it must have been a glitch. I lost my Lantern in that pipe... not that I needed one in Rubicon.
when devtool abusing i accidentally got the cloakless riv ending
Dopefish can be found used in a room in submerged superstructure as a slugcat which isnt rivulet, in an inaccesible section of a long horizontal room which is separated in 2, The owo cat eyes are used in the entrance to the gutter from chimney canopy
I actually had the cloakless Moon appear the first time I beat Rivulet
For that to happen, I think you had to play Monk beforehand without giving her the cloak
If you don't play Monk at all, then she will have the cloak by Riv's campaign
@@Calvus_Calvusus I started fucking around in Remix menu and ended up beating Rivulet before any other campaign. I played around in Expedition and thought “this is less boring then the yellow one” and I don’t regret it. So I got her cloaked version.

The graffiti that’s in full color are, I’m assuming, from ancients. The only “graffiti” that is canonically done by the scavengers are the ones that look like they’re made from chalk, and are only in white and blue.
I have gotten the rivulet ending screen with no cloak by going to outer expanse with warp mod to end the campaign before, so it is in game.

I really like the effect
The challenge I showcased in the next clip about having creatures without unlocks in challenges was actually made by me, and the DustWave effect for that arena looked dope as fuck
Too bad adding a slight rain effect breaks the intense fog
I also messed around with dust wave and my over achieving ahh sent it 100% and now it’s stuck like that-

In some scav (tolls?), in safari mode, you can actually notice theres a scav sitting on top of the pole, and you can turn into it, too. When you check the controls-theyre that of a scav. But you cant move.

my friend hacked through the riv campaign for fun, ending up in them beating it in max 20 mins. they ended up with this screen instead of the normal one, and i have no idea what caused it. it's still there even after they turned off all of the devtools.........

According to dev commentary, dustwave is for the exterior of metropolis, and was supposed to be a massive sandstorm that would start on the horizon and then cover the area. It ended up getting cut.

Fun fact! Me and a friend were playing Jolly Coop and had I think cheated our way into Metropolis in another campaign. Instead of nothing or a king scav mask at the main area, we were met with a Train Lizard. That immediately ate my friend and never came back.
Scared pebbs with 3 ded iterators was yes. Just yes.

You need to go to 5P to get the ability to see dialogue, he will also give you Karma with it!

Yeah you can just skip the tutorial by heading to the crouch jump room and leaping the gap. I'm pretty sure if you do that it doesn't trigger the rain early like it should so you get a free starting cycle

At 7:03, I looked into my rain world folder in the file explorer but couldn't find the sandbox folder, can you tell me where it is?
It will automatically generate once you export a sandbox

I found a detail while playing, during my pearlcat playthrough (old update, also check it out it’s a really well made mod) I walked into the chieftain room using a mod that allows me to access character exclusive regions only to see a single train lizard. No king scav, no other scavs, just a single train lizard.
the train liz is a part of the exclusive regions for everyone mod as a small troll from the dev

Easiest is by the wiki
On the page for each creature, there is a little window with a picture of how it looks like, right under it should be "Code Name" and the name of the creature
Hunter Long Legs is called HunterDaddy in the code for example

“Heavily decorated and carved from a bone” implies that moon acknowledges the antlers, which are likely the scavengers gluing pieces of vulture masks together
