    The switch we could not figure out, is a small high pass for the Satellites. When set to normal the high pass is on, set to full, it is off. So it is a good way to protect smaller drivers. Thanks to Jonathan Augle for the tip. You can find out more about the amp here: amzn.to/2M2i65T

    2.0 channel mode: it is recommended to use a max power of DC21V and a full range speaker of 50W*2 4Ω for the best working condition.
    2.1 channel mode: it is recommended to use a max power of DC24V, a L/R speaker of 50W 4Ω and a subwoofer speaker of 100w 8Ω for the best working condition.

    Do you still have this board? I ordered one with Bluetooth and the other without. Power with 24v 5a power supply and only a left and right channel, no sub yet. It had a terrible hiss and pop every time I touched the treble freq or treble volume knobs, the two next to the main volume knob. I returned them both. I really want a 2.1 board without bt because I will pair a Arylic board to bring by and wifi in, and a input selector switch I'll build. I've been looking all over for other versions of this board without problems but it's hard to find. A few fixes out there involved resoldering to the board and that's more than I want to do for fear of ruining it. Oh and that little switch is the filter that cuts off low freq to the satellite speakers.

    I think You need to do a second review on this board, I bought it after Your video but there is issues with it.
    At low volume in bluetooth the board goes to sleep every 30 seconds to a minute and wakes up after half to two seconds again... There is a great deal of noise due to the cheap pots (B50K) on it and apparently that's why it goes to sleep (in low volume), they cured the static noise problem in idle by sending it to sleep mode as soon the media stop playing. How ever, the board can't sence the difference from low volume and no volume...
    Changing the pots to 10K (B10K) solves the horrible noise problem and I can't understand why the chinese didn't solder those on in the first place...
    I myself returning this board since I can't always crank the volume up to make it work properly.

    So this is a 200w amp, so you need a power supply that produces at least 200 watts to get full amplifier power rating.
    Would a power supply that is 24v 9a making 216 watts have the exact same effect as a power supply of 12v 18a making 216 watts?

    • @johnhebberd2248
      @johnhebberd2248 3 года назад +1

      No, you need higher voltage to get higher wattage in the case of amplifiers. Components are usually limited by amperage, so using the highest recommend voltage will usually get you the highest output wattage.

    Why does no one ever preview what the noise floor is, or what the start up or various Bluetooth tones are? You mentioned a voice when switching to aux in, would this amp be acceptable in a product that will be sold?

    • @Toid
      @Toid  5 лет назад +1

      Now that you mention it, I probably should have put the voice on there. It just beeps when you switch to BT and says line in really fast when you switch back. I don't see why you couldn't use this in a build you sell. Just keep in mind, that it will be an Asian woman's voice. So if that turns you off, then you shouldn't use it. But it is nowhere near as bad as some of the Asian amplifiers I have used. Which I would not recommend if you were going to sell it.

    • @DanLimbach
      @DanLimbach Год назад

      24V power supply will deliver double the watts at the same amperage.
      12V * 5 amps = 60 watts of power to the speakers
      24V * 5 amps = 120 watts of power to the speakers
      An amp rated 12V-24V would best be served by a 24V * 10amp power supply (if it can take 10 amps).

BTW the sw would be crossover on/off. I think the designer is Chinese so he name Subwoofer as base and sat L/R as treble, A bit odd is he removed L/R highpass yet add its lowpass -= treble freq.
