In 1982 I bought a 510 out of the recycler paper for $750…
Me and that car went through ALOT!!! Got a 1800 sss engine, dual mikuni’s, z tranny and struts, gutted with RX-7 seats , momo Monte Carlo wheel and a roll bar…13x7 centerlines with 215/50 13 BFGs…. In 82, I was rollin’ hard! I grew up with Mulholland and Angeles crest in my backyard. I MISS, MISS, MISS that car. It’s definitely the one I let get away!😢

LEGIT cold start with the hand test for sure! maybe a cheap laser digital temp reading would be a simpler thing eh?
L20B engine? that was my favorite conversion, with a z 5 speed trans.

Is that Smurf from Eugene, Kelvin's old ride?
No, it is not Kelvin's car. They are close in color and name. I am the new owner and have spoken to Kelvin a lot about how close they are. He sold his Smurf a while ago and currently has a beautiful 510 wagon in the exact color of my car.

Do you know anyone who might want a deck (cylinder honing) plate or a NEW Datsun Competition racing head gasket and an FIA head manifold gasket? The honing plate was made for my by Smokey Yunick in the early 1970s. My 510 is long gone and those are the last few things I have from that era of my life. They're going to the dump if I can't find a good home for them. FREE--you just pay the shipping if you can't pick them up in Houston.

Why relocate the battery? Is it because of looks?
Battery probably relocated for weight distribution.

Just the shell of this vehicle is like 60k now.

Is that your own collection of cars cause there are some serious cars there the JDM and the Euro cars are just beautiful there is so much history and value must have serious security and personally I wouldn't even show my collection to the public in some sense at the other it's nice for other car enthusiasts who would admire them all and such a beautiful numbers matching 510 inline 4 cylinder with four wheel independent suspension my father said growing up he had one and so did my uncle and they use to say different engine mods they do to the block for better performance and Ferrari Webber carburetors and a Porsche gearbox or something and said they used to jump then off the top of suicide Hill and get a couple feet of air and my uncle's was supposedly super nice and painted pumpkin orange with polish chrome bumpers and Euro style single headlights instead of the double. I only saw pictures growing up and again some of these mods could be backwards I'm not sure I want to say he shaved the heads and bigger cams. Now my biggest thing is it's original which is such a treat and even though I always wanted them to put the inline 6 from the 280Z maybe with big 2" straight piped exhaust.
Actually we are a members social car club and consignment. We have state of the art security and nightly live surveillance. The neighborhood has been absolutely awesome. The police and fire department are neighbors and swing by often. Come down for a visit sometime!
