Thanks, you answered a question I’ve been searching for an answer to. The kw at charging stations. Almost all charging stations here in the uk and Europe are over 5kw so I was panicking that I wouldn’t be able to charge it anywhere. Thank you 🙏
I've been waiting for some one to make a video with this information.
Newbie here. Thank you for this video. I have the Delta Pro, and was looking at a Tesla Supercharging station today, and had no idea it's not compatable until I saw your video
Yes but only the destination chargers NOT super charges and don't forget the $300 adapter that makes it possible 👍🏻
cool adaptor
Thanks for sharing. I did not know that the Delta Pro can be charged this way. It's really awesome.
Thanks for watching
Thank you so much for reviewing and demonstrating the option to charge at a EV charging station. But if I can ad one thing you should point out that it's very important to make sure you get the adapter latched to the EV charging plug completely and securely. There's a interlock in the latch that will prevent the charging station from supplying power in the event of the power cord not being fully plugged in. It also is how the car and charger know that there about to be unplugged and shut down the power. Just swap car for solar generator in this case but the J1772 protocol is the same all the same.
Thanks for the video. I have been waiting for the EcoFlow EV adapter since I purchased my DP. Tesla destination chargers, Blink, ChargePoint, Cripple Creek and others are Level 2 AC chargers. These typically are rated between 7.6 kW upwards to 20+ kW output power. These are AC chargers while Tesla Superchargers are DC current and rated between 75 and 250 kW. The Tesla adapter is pricey and we would be better off using another Level 2 charger.
Thanks Dan
thumbs up :-)
Thank you Brent
Pretty glad I got the Delta Pro, add one more item to the can do list.
Agree it’s amazing what you can do with a pro , thanks for watching
Your video only shows 1800W charging, so you must have had the switch on the back set to "Slow/Custom" instead of "Fast". When it's on "Fast" it will reach 3000W+. When it's on "Slow/Custom" then it will take the setting you select in the app which maxes out at 1800W.
Aaaaaaand thats exactly what I did
Thanks for video. Are any other "generators" able to charge from CCS or NACS?
Also, with the EV charger how long did it take you to fully charge the battery bank?
That tesla adapter doesn't seem that well made--it was hard to put on the end of the charger cable and it didn't seem to snap into place. Do you agree with that? You are the one who handled it.
Thanks.
Hi Peter not sure about the generator question, what vehicle do you have?
By generator I mean battery bank, like the Delta Pro. Sometimes they are called "generators" because they take the place of a generator, even though of course they are not actually generators, they are really just battery banks. Just to explain, my car is not relevant, I want to charge the Delta Pro, not the car... I want to know how long it takes to charge the delta pro with a CCS charger. Thank you. I have never heard anyone explain that. They always say how long it takes to charge the Delta Pro with 110V but the Delta Pro can charge with CCS so in theory it should be capable of charging more quickly than with 110V.
For example, if you use a 110V charger it takes like a day to charge a car. But if you use a 220V charger it takes a few hours to charge a car. Therefore if you are charging a battery bank, I have heard people say that with a 110V charger you can charge a Delta Pro in about 2.5 hours, so I am hoping that you can charge the Delta Pro in a shorter time with a CCS connector--and I am just curious how much time it takes.
Thank you.@@TechMadeEzy
You don’t show the charging curve. Can you do a video similar to Tom on the State of Charge RUclips channel that shows a 0 to 100 charge on the EV adapter? So we can see it hit the peak charge power and see how long it takes in total to charge compared to a wall outlet?
I'll make a note on that, can't promise
How did you get your pro to charge at 1700 watts at the first station. I am only getting it to 399 to 400 watts. Is there a setting on the station apps or in echoflow app ?
Check your settings in the app especially your charge settings so you might be limiting your charge by mistake
Great video I’ve been looking for something like this a special adapter to charge my EcoFlow Delta pro from a Tesla charge station …SUBS UP 👍🏼
Thanks buddy and definitely check around because there are a lot more adapters that you can now buy for around I think $50-$100 that will convert to a Tesla adapter
I have the Tesla wall connector. Be aware that it can be set to only work with Tesla cars or even limited to specific Tesla cars. It would have to be set (commissioned) to “any car” to work charging the Delta Pro.
Thanks Frank that’s good to know
Not with the TeslaTap. The TeslaTap makes the Wall connector think that it is a Tesla connected.
Great review...
👍 for Brooklyn!!! 😂
Have things changed with tesla superchargers stations?
Hi Fred thanks !
What type of changes?
My experience they’ve been great I can depend on them , do you have a Tesla?
@@TechMadeEzy In the video you say that the delta pro cannot be charged at the Tesla superchargers. He's asking, can we charge of Ecoflow Delta pros at Tesla superchargers now?
No because from what I’ve been told by EcoFlow they can damage the pro
It’s a level 3 super fast charger, to be safe just use level 2 chargers.
This is another advantage of the Delta Pro over other solar generators.
Thanks for watching
Try another brand of charging. 1800 w is slow. Mine accepts 2700 w. Not all fast charge extensions are created equal. I have even found some free ones that charge at twenty seven hundred instead of eighteen hundred
Thanks
The eco flo is limited to just over 3KW but yet it was charging at 1.8 KW on that charger. Not much advantage over home charging. I wonder why that charger did not pump the max current allowed by BMS. Maybe the battery was cold.
I wouldn't say 3400w is a bad limit
Guess it's time for me to order the EV X-stream adapter from Ecoflow.
Not available yet when it is I’ll post something on the channel and I’ll put a link in the description
Damn that is slow! You'd just be better plugging it into an AC outlet and charging your Power station. Seems like a waste of time and money! Especially when charging from a good AC outlet you're going to get 1,400 plus watts vs. 800 at the Tesla station.
Please could you create a video which shows the Delta Pro charging from a V2L cable. i.e. using a EV to charge the Delta Pro.
Hi Janak Never heard of that cable
Ego really needs to update their Nexus power station to compete with the Eco Flow Delta. 6 bays, 12 Amp Hour battery bundle, J1772 compatible, 240V outlet, better solar panel integration, etc
I hope so , definitely 2 different companies serving different types of customers but I’m hopeful they will come out with some new product
Ego just provided another use for their batteries to their customers nothing more nothing less. If you want a full on solar setup either build one or buy these all in one units.
When I search for ev charging station, I also get the CCS / CHAdeMO. Is the delta pro compatible with those too?
I've never seen those listed, contact EcoFlow support@ecoflow.com
ccs looks like it works
Is it possible to charge the DP with extra battery connected when charging using EV connector?
Never tried that, DP is heavy to bring to an EV station then to bring an extra battery would be more difficult unless you have them in an RV, Van etc. I'd check with EcoFlow to be sure and on the safe side support@ecoflow.com let me know what they say
is the delta pro worth the price even at $3599 (Amazon) I was trying to find it cheaper but I guess I missed the sale at COSCO
Hi Justin it’s not your average unit, anything that compares I would say is the Bluetti AC300, it always depends on what you are looking to do, why you would need it or do you simply want the best and what to be prepared. We are working on our detailed review of the Delta Pro it should be out soon.
@Ono T Sale is still going today.
How long does it take to charge it from empty to full? 2 hours?
Hi Claes
That's all depending on the wattage you are receiving from the charger, they all vary
Adapter price is brutal. Tesla charge Cdn$65 for their J1772 adapter. It’s supplied free if you buy a Tesla.
EcoFlow one is $99 when it launches that’s fine for J1772
The one sold by Tesla goes the other way. J1772 to Tesla and does not need any circuitry or safety devices as it is just a pass-through connector.
How do you troubleshoot infinity port problems?
Contact EcoFlow support@ecoflow.com
How much does it cost charging from ev charging stations? Is it better to charge it from your home wall or ev stations?
It’s better to charge with solar with the free sun ☀️
Some level 2 charging stations are free.
Can you charge the Delta from an EV...?
The Delta Pro is the only one that has that capability
I just purchased the EV adapter and tried it out and just get a fault on the charger so no charging there. If only they would make them compatible with all EV chargers. You should tell people that.instead of making it look like they work on all of them.
At $300.00 I don't need it!
Why mot just use a ground?
I was not aware that you can use the Delta Pro to charge your EV. Thanks for the tip.
?
Hi good video thank you ,what about different EV car can you charge an EV thank you
Hi RZ what do you mean?
Hi thanks what i mean is can the ecoflow charge an electric car ( deferent mark )not a Tesla and what adapter does need
The delta pro won’t give you many miles if you use it as a charger just being very clear about that. The adapter that is available is a SAE J1772 connector which is compatible with many non Tesla chargers. Links are in the description also. Hope that helped
Thank you
$300 is crazy for that Tesla adapter
Prices are much lower for others now you are correct 👍🏼
thank you. i found some for$60@@TechMadeEzy
@demonhogo yup that sounds right
This doesn’t work with the delta 2 ?
No just delta pro, the delta pro has an infinity port, you’ll see it in the video as I demo the ev charger 🔌
@@TechMadeEzy thanks man ! So freakin’ cool ! I just got the delta 2 few months ago and I wish it could do that lol but it’s a great unit ! Do u have any reviews on the delta 2 ?
Delta 2 is a great value and a solid product, you can get the expansion battery also Here you go
ruclips.net/video/tvdsITwG_OQ/видео.html
and my search for someone to tell me what IT COSTS TO CHARGE continues..
Thunk it depends on how much you charge
i know, these videos give the most obvious stuff and not the important info. In LA it's like .50¢ a kwh. DP is 3.6kw so with fees its around $3-$4
