    EXCELLENT way to prove the EcoFlow can deliver. FYI the longer the extension cord the more power it takes to run the appliance. How much the voltage will drop over the length of the extension cord is an important consideration for safe and efficient appliance operation. for me personally i like to hang dry my clothes, not into fabric softeners (guys it lowers your testosterone) plus in power outage i want to use battery for other stuff. just me, don't open your fridge don't dry your clothes using EcoFlow. nice and economical version to be off grid. photovoltaic / solar thermal technician here and I Approve this video 👍
    edit: the fact that you said for demonstration purposes and rather hang dry I'm Slapping Subscribe Button

    I see this is an older video and not sure if anyone pointed it out yet, but in your test, your Ecoflow units weren't producing a total of 5000 watts. It's a split phase 240V system, which means when you use it to power 240V loads (like the heating elements in your dryer), the 2400-ish watts of load from the heating element is (basically) flowing back and forth between the two 120V Ecoflow units because it's AC. It's switching direction 60 times every second. The reason both Ecoflow units aren't carrying the same exact load is because there are 120V components in your dryer that are only using one of the 120V phases from the 240V plug, and that phase is coming from only one Ecoflow. That power doesn't oscillate back and forth...it simply returns to the unit via the neutral line. So, in your case, your dryer is pulling about 300 watts from one leg, or one Ecoflow unit, which is coming from things like control circuitry, etc. This is why you saw the load drop drastically when the heaters cut off at the end of the cycle.The reason the dryer is set up this way is because the heating elements draw a lot of power and by increasing the applied voltage, the amount of current necessary to run the heaters can be reduced. Power = Voltage X Amps. I hope this helps.

    Hello. I just bought two delta pros and one Ecoflow 400w portable solar panel. The dvh and two extra Flexsolar 360w panels included at no charge,with the purchase. I paid an arm and a leg anyway because in PR you pay almost double for these heavy expensive items,but at least you get a nice warranty from the Power Solar Ecoflow PR distributor.
    Now I'm waiting for a certified electrician to install a transfer switch and all necessary hardware to make my 230 volts,12,000 btu split type inverter ac, and a medium size refrigerator to work at the same time during power outages. Wish me good luck please. Thanks for this video tips. Very helpful for two delta pros and dvh users. 🙏👋👍

  • @kings17court

    The Delta Pros are absolute beasts, no doubt. But what really makes it a game changer, and separates them from most other portable power stations, is this double voltage hub. I live in Florida, and have gone through several hurricane related extended power outages, and I've improved my situation over the years. First I endured the situation with a gas generator, and running extension cords into the house to power select things. Then another year I set up that same generator to power the whole house with a transfer switch. I thought I had died and gone to heaven, to be able to walk into a room and have the lights turn on with the switch, and have ceiling fans, etc. This takes that convenience to a whole other level, and in silence. I could use the generator to charge the Delta Pro during the day, which should not take long, and be set for another night. It would also allow your fuel to last A LOT longer, where you would not need nearly as much for a 7 to 10 day power outage. Very, very nice. Wow. It is not cheap, though.

    Great Review and demonstration on this Ecoflow Pro system... I plan on using the DVH thru a manual transfer switch I installed that feeds into my existing Home Panel...in this way will NOT be needing extension cords at all (or the AC ports on the Pro's when using this way) using the already existing Home Electrical Wiring System for my 220 Volt water well pump primarily and of course all of the rest from lights to the HVAC System...keeping fingers and toes crossed. Again, great stuff!!

    When you connect two Pro's together then can you still run one solar circuit into each of the Pro's for charging (two total)?
    I ask because due to the solar input amperage limitations you'll only really be able to run a single series solar circuit into one Pro. I'm going to have shading much of the time so I could benefit from two separate solar circuits with two separate charge controllers.

    One Delta Pro has a short term surge output of 7200 watts at 120V. Does this mean that two Delta Pro units have a surge output of 14400 watts at 240V? If so, this would mean that two in parallel could potentially startup a large motor like an HVAC condensing unit which has a high inrush and is usually the limiting factor for a portable generator being used for home air conditioning.

My 4 ton condensing unit pulls 55A at 240V at startup, but this is for less than a second. It settles down to around 17A while running. This units would power my house if they can handle the large short inrush demand.

      Guys, if it will run a drier, then I believe you’ve got more than enough proof... as it’s barely even going to notice a 1/2hp well pump turning on, just a little blip and then a fairly low draw... I’m quite sure it could run a submersible pump for a long time... though I’m not as sure about a jet pump, but I think jet pumps are usually only 120v anyway, so not going to be a problem, other than they just aren’t usually as efficient as a submersible pump.
      I bought a 30amp 230v/7000w (8000w surge cap.) gas generator and was concerned about the start up surge of my 1/2hp submersible pump, but I couldn’t even tell, that it was turning on, it didn’t change the idle and it’s an inverter kind.

      Oh... That I'm not sure. If it doesn't have a plug, you might have to deal with an electrician to make one, it's possible. Also before you do that check the pumps surge rating and wattage requirement. You want to make sure the power station will meet and exceed them.

    I’m building my eco flow system. People are telling me it won’t power my 240 volt well pump without draining it. Do you know if it will work? I wish they had showroom to showcase these things. It’s a lot of money to spend without knowing for sure.

    • @fairwindsrv
      @fairwindsrv Год назад +1

      How long the Ecoflow battery lasts all depends on how big of a well pump you have and how often you use it. In that respect, it's no different than any other load. For example, and for the ease of math, if you have a 1/2 HP well pump, it will draw about 900 Watts. So, if you were to run that pump for one hour, it will draw 900 Watt-hours and you'd be able to run it for a total of 4 hours on a 3600 Watt Ecoflow Delta Pro. It's all about how big the load is and how long you run it. The Delta Pro will absolutely run your well pump. Will it drain the battery? Yep. How fast depends on how often you use the pump. Obviously, if you're able to charge with solar, that just adds more time.

    • @box2bliss927
      @box2bliss927 Год назад

      That’s what I thought too. Breaking down the math of it. But they seem to think it won’t work. Seeing as the generator screams when the well pump kicks in. So I kinda see their point. LOL. These are 30 year off grid veterans. So I’m waiting to hear from someone who is doing it. :)

    Very disappointed in my two delta pros connected with the HUB with smart generator. Have my 30amp travel trailer hooked up to it. The power and battery drain is only happening on one unit instead of evenly amongst the two. Battery drains to 20 before the generator kicks in even though the other unit is at 100%. Yes the firmware is up to date. In addition when the AC kicks on the unit being pulled from gets overloaded and shuts down. If generator is running it doesn't trip.

    Thank you for this video, now I’m convinced that the EcoFlow setup IS NOT for me, only the USA has 120 as standard, I’m not in the USA (thank goodness) but to convert to the rest of the worlds standard 240v is just a bridge to fare, two pro units and extra cables, but having looked at a lot of other videos about EcoFlow products, they are quite high tech, being a ALL IN ONE unit it is a problem for repairs and warranty, but the biggest problem is the grossly inflated prices, i can do the same with individual items at half the cost.
