I have this car - a 2010 Audi A3 S Line in the black on black. It is now 12 years old and looks like brand new. I bought it new. People ask me all the time if it is this model year. I have never had a problem with it and love this car. If supply line issues ever return to normal I plan to buy another A3 but keep this one. I really enjoyed your review.
@@TexasTruckChannel Yeah sorry, I posted that before reading the other comments saying the same thing! The A1 is actually really spacious in the front with a huge amount of legroom - better than my Mazda 6 Tourer - but with the obvious penalty for those in the back. It's essentially a 2 seater.
"This model is 10 years older than the current a3" hang let me check >>> currently we are 2021 then minus 2010 >>> yep close enough to 10 years Great fact checking
Someone has to do it! This episode was shot in the summer of 2020. Thanks for watching and let us know if you would like to see anything else specific reviewed.
We are referring to the US market. We did not get the A1/A2. Weirdly enough the TT and the A3 are the same chassis and virtually the same size. Thanks for watching 👌
Hello there my friend trying to sell me his ....🤔 But this brand have pretty bad reputation...so...idk The car is Audi A3.....2.0t premium 114k.....any suggestions here? What you guys think?
It depends on where your height is. Mine is mostly in my torso, and I barely fit comfortably. I am 6-4, if your height is mostly in your legs you should be fine.
Good point Phil! I wrote off the WRX since it is almost in a league of its own, but you can get the A3 with Quattro, I should have included it. The MazdaSpeed3 is so damn special, it’s almost in a league of its own.
@@TexasTruckChannel had a 2007 a3... Ran the dog stuff out of her.... All for 2300.00... 2 1/2 yrs worth... Looking for another as she has been offered to the car gods... Btw... Other than changing vital fluids... I killed her... Love this model
Hey man, nice video! I am about to buy the same car (2010) with the same engine EA888 2.0 TFSI. Could you help me please with some reliability advice about the engine please? (especially the timing chain with its tensioner) Thank you.
Hey thanks! Sure thing, I actually just sold this car with 118k miles and zero issues. In our entire time of ownership we had one intake manifold part replaced with an updated part ($350) and fluid changes. That’s it. In 2010 they went from a timing belt to a timing chain. Belts can snap if driven past their limit. Chains by and large have a much longer life span. I know there are some forum posts that swear the chain and tensioners a must changed at 100k miles, which simply is not true in most cases. Keep up with oil changes and enjoy it!
The A3 is NOT the base model. And also not the smallest car. The A1 is. And there's also an A2 produced thoughout the years (which looks like a retarded vehicle), that is also smaller than the A3.

That’s great, we have since sold this car abs miss it routinely. Enjoy yours!
You don't have to keep clicking the dial to change the temp. Just hold it to the left or right 👍
It is the second smallest- in other countries there is an A1 which is a super mini
The diversity in the cars you guys pick is fascinating. Keep it up!
Wish we got more 2.0T facelifts in South Africa. The 1.4T and 1.8T is in abundance
I have 2013 A3 Audi TDI with a stage 2 tune. I love this car.
Hey i am just wondering how much horsepower does it push? And what mods did you do?
Whats ur mileage like?
Good review. Picking one up next week. Really looking forward to it now!
Congrats!
For the sunroom just tint it to the max and it’s perf that’s what I did
Good idea!
awesome breakdown on the car. I hope you've gotten a better microphone since this video.
The notorious Grumman LLV spotted at 5:55
I miss my A3 This car is 😎
This A3 was epic. Great chassis.
I have one of these with Quattro, I think the engine in these are the gen 1 Ea888, not the Ea 113
Hey what watch are you wearing in this video?
Hey if you don’t mind me asking, how tall are you, considering one of these cars but want to make sure I would fit, thanks.
6’4”. Mostly in the torso. Fits like a glove.
"The A3 is the smallest Audi available". Err yes .... apart from the A2 and the A1.
Here in the States, the A3 is as small as it gets. Sadly.

For some reason, that’s just not a car that Americans want in volume. We would love it though!
what about fuel consum??
In our time with it we typically got 24 mpg city, 28 hwy.
Brake Check Show its not to much i think!! i have same A3 2.0 tfsi 2011
With my TDI A3 I get 43 hwy...again I don't have quattro.
i could only hear the background noise.....

Did all 8P S lines come with launch control ?
Yes I believe so. There is one way to find out.
hmmm video released 10 months ago... we're in the 5th month of 2021 now. who's fact checking now lmfao
Is this based on the MK5 or MK6?
Mk6
I’d say older one non facelift based on mk5. But facelift is based on mk6
I have the TDI and I love it.
Us too!
Why cant i find these anywhere
bro for the price get an ls430. It’s my first car and it smokes this a3 s-line off the line. 0-60 is way better too. Plus more reliable.
The smallest Audi the company makes is the A1 since 2010
Correct, but in the states, the A3 is the smallest.
It’s not the smallest Audi there’s the A1 and the the A2 but there both pretty shit particularly the A2. the A3 is the nicest small one
Also theres the Audi TT which is a smaller performance car
We are referring to the US market. We did not get the A1/A2. Weirdly enough the TT and the A3 are the same chassis and virtually the same size. Thanks for watching 👌

@@TexasTruckChannel mazda speed 3 is really rubbish... the gti is much better.
fuck mazdaspeed
we gonna ignore that he did a launch on a public road right after going through an intersection? madlad😎🔥

Sorry, taken. Thanks for watching, Eh!
The Audi A1 is smaller than this
The A1 is not available in our American market.
There’s an Audi A1 which is smaller
True, but not state side.
Or a GTI is an A3 in dress casual.
Yes!
@@TexasTruckChannelI figured you'd have some Germans on here.
Audi a1 is the baseline not the A3
Correct in the world wide market. Here in the states, the A3 is the baseline.
@@TexasTruckChannel nice baseline we get the A1 upwards in the uk

It's definitely not a drag car...I love driving it on twisty roads.
