I really want an Elimination Mode for Mario Kart. It can have up to 24 racers, only a certain amount of racers can move on to the next course based on your placement.
That sidekick mechanic sounds sick! Also Mario Kart 7 did actually have a first person mode by pushing up (or maybe it was down) on the D-Pad and it would put you in 1st person with gyro controls!
I totally see the idea being more dynamic driving as it is continuing the trend of 7 and 8. 7 offered underwater racing and glider, 8 have anti-gravity and 9 can finish off since Nintendo don’t want to use double digit for the next game. I see drilling front or under your kart and also sky driving too. However, it’s not vehicle transformation, sky driving can be activated by a purple pad and drilling will always start at soft dirt(not hard ones though)
These courses should get added for the next Mario Kart game: SNES Mario Circuit 2 SNES Koopa Beach 2 N64 Frappe Snowland N64 Wario Stadium N64 Banshee Boardwalk GBA Bowser Castle 4 GBA Luigi Circuit GBA Yoshi Desert GBA Lakeside Park GCN DK Mountain GCN Daisy Cruiser GCN Mushroom City DS Delfino Square DS Waluigi Pinball DS Rainbow Road Wii Dry Dry Ruins Wii Moonview Highway 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World 3DS Bowser Castle 3DS Maka Wuhu Wii U Electrodrome Wii U Sunshine Airport Wii U Toad Harbor
@Super Mario well you're not wrong, those are some good choices (hopefully they add SNES Bowser's castle because if they don't, I'm deleting Mario kart from my Nintendo switch)
I think the idea of Adventure Mode would be cool, you play through the mode and unlock the tracks as you go along, which can then be played in multiplayer mode or in a sort of mini game mode (sort of like Mario Party DS, with the unlocking of mini games to play). Or they can add a NSMB Wii style co-op to do the adventure mode in multiplayer too.
I want them to add a mode where you choose a track and there is 50 laps but the more laps have passed the crazier the items get, like 8 bannanas or triple bombs or double stars in the final 10 laps
With 13. Pitstops: I think if you implement the aspect of changing parts of your cart during play with a pit stop would be AWESOME. Sometimes I pick the wrong wheels or the wrong bike, so I think a pit stop for changing parts would be awesome!!
I want a weather/time of day system that effects the track like Wave Race Blue Storm. Like if it is snowing it is more slippery and maybe it can be foggy or rainy with puddles for going under water. It would also change the looks of courses and you could see classic race tracks with difference lenses.
I really want more dynamic tricks where when you are in the air you can move the toggle to do different tricks like a backflip or frontflip or something and the better your tricks are the more boost you get when you land. this could even be a main gimmick if they really wanted to roll with it.
We need custom racer limit, so its not just 8 racers or 12. As well as an option to play retro tracks with a remaster or original version of the theme, sorta like the DS Sounds item from Pokemon BDSP where you can hear the og music.
Another thing to keep in mind is we could get cutscenes without an Adventure Mode 👀 Like when you unlock a character, instead of just the sound clip playing as you see the character, you see a cutscene that introduces that character.
I know it's not a mode, but a couple item ideas I've had for MarioKart 9 are these: Mini Pipe - When used, allows the player to create a pipe shortcut into any wall and get spit out roughly 1/5 lap ahead of where they were. Amazing for last-minute comebacks. The Clock - Slows players to 25% of your current speed, but physics continues to work the same for those players as if they were going their current speed. This allows you to basically get a 75% speed boost, but controlled. The effect lasts for 3 seconds, or until you are hit by an item; and items do not follow this velocity restructuring rule
This is probably 100% never going to happen, but I wish for there to be some community engagement. Like you can make your own tracks and if it's good enough, there's a chance of it being added in a later update. I also wish for there to be a sort of system where you can send clips to moderators and they can give you special points and stuff. Like they can give you 200 coins for doing a difficult short cut.
Just the ability to spend coins you collect on cosmetics that don't alter gameplay would be neat, taking inspiration straight out of Super Mario Odyssey
5:20 Reminds me of the combined ski-shooting game in Mario+Sonic Winter 2010. That between each lap, you play a quick game of target practice, before you resuming. Depending on the skill, you either get penalized or given boosts.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (more & more suggested updates) : Track Editor (create your own course) Backwards mode (among Grand Prix , Time Trials & VS Race modes you can choose)
Hopefully a potential adventure mode went up to at least 2 players, I get annoyed when games with a story mode don’t allow some sort of multiplayer co-op.
*My wishes for Mario Kart X (Tour was released after MK8DX so it will be the 9th):* - Main gimmick: Underground driving (A drill in front of your kart that will activate in certain areas similar to glider, propeller & anti-gravity. - You can avoid items directed at you (All items besides the Blue Shell, Mega Mushroom, Superhorn & Star) and try to hide. - Returning items (next to those of MK8DX): Mega Mushroom, Fake Item Box (N64 design), Feather, Yoshi/Birdo Egg & Bowser Shell. - New item: Wrench (from a Rocky Wrench): You can throw a wrench towards 2 players in front or behind you, who will spin out. - New item: Block (brown brick block, iconic): You can hold a block behind you to block hits but it will only protect for 1 hit. - Similar to MK7, coins can be obtained from on the track but not from the items. - The option to drive with 1 or 2 players on each kart is available, but only after you collecting every kart part & all characters. - There is no limit on collecting coins in a race but the boost is capped at 10 coins but you can use all the coins for kart parts. - Items, amount of CC, CPU's, tracks, characters, kart parts and amounts of races and some other stuff can be customized. - New Battle Mode: Hide & Seek (2 drivers are randomly selected and need to wait for 20 seconds. The other 10 need to hide). - This game will basically be a mix of Tour, Wii Custom tracks, 8DX and Double Dash, so all fan favorites. - Characters: R.O.B. will return, alongside DK Junior, Kamek Magikoopa, Pauline, Petey Piranha, Diddy & Funky Kong. - Koopa Paratroopa, Cat Peach, Pink Gold Peach, Tanooki Mario, Gold Mario, Metal Mario and the Koopalings are now costumes. - Next to kart parts and like in Wii, characters will also be unlocked by winning cups and collecting coins. - PAC-MAN (design from SSBU) will come from the arcade games & Kirby will make it's debut.
Paint shop mode. Track Builder mode. We need that for wave 5. So i can create my own racetracks from every mario kart series. We need this happen for real for real. This is important. Nintendo you need to keep working on this. How long are y'all gonna take? 😡🤬🤬
Mario Kart 9 Ideas: - Fire Field (FZero) - Death Mountain (TOTK) - New Donk City (SMO) - Freeze Flame Galaxy (SMG) - Bowser’s Fury (SM3DW) - Rogueport (SPM Thousand Year Door) - Gusty Garden Galaxy (SMG) - The Depths (TOTK) - Retro: Bowser Castle DS - Retro: Rainbow Road Wii - Retro: Neo Bowser City 3DS - Retro: Mount Wario WiiU - Retro: Rainbow Road DS - Retro: Big Blue WiiU - Retro: Toad Factor Wii - Retro: Koopa Troopa Beach N64 - Retro: Wario Coliseum GC - Goldenrod City (Pokémon Gen 2) - Hear me out: a mario maker styles course where the course builds around you and changes themes as you go through the track, like cave, sky, bowsers castle, desert, airship, etc. And my idea for a gimmick could be perhaps where every character has their own special ability like in smash bros and it comes up once a race or you collect something during the race and once you get enough the ability comes up. Maybe you get this something from hitting racers with your abilities, passing people, or they’re just laying around on the course. Edit: he goes over this idea in the end but I was typing at that time so I didn’t catch that he said that until now. But it’s still an awesome idea
Instead of Career mode I'd like a mode that'd be shady and dark, like salmon run in Splatoon 2 & 3, maybe you'd have to illigally modify the carts or something.
I don't think a Mario Kart 9 is out of the question. I'd like to imagine we got the booster course pass just to keep us busy while they work on it. Even if their not working on it there's still a chance of it happening. How? Don't ask why because I sure as hell don't know
Maybe they could add a shop where you can buy certain characters, kart parts, and other unlockables (this won’t be the only way to unlock stuff though as I would like the unlock system to return to how it was in MKW), the Coins can be obtained on the track (rather than collecting them to increase speed, you use them to buy stuff). They could also have three Star Coins scattered around each track and collect those not only provide bonus Coins but also collecting a certain amount can also unlock characters.
I wouldn’t mind a set of tracks based off other Mario games. It would be cool racing on rainbow road from galaxy 2, one of the kingdoms from Mario odyssey, racing around the comet observatory or racing around isle Delphino which could include Delphino square and Delphino pier from Wii and DS.
Mario Kart should be more Arcady and adapt some mechanics from well known games like Kirby Air Ride, Ridge Racer, Sonic Riders/transformed, and Diddy Kong racing. 1. I would love a mode where every racer has a balloon and depending on your kart stats the balloon will have more health. Getting hit by items, bumping into walls and falling of the edge all do damage and if you take too much damage the balloon pops. You can still keep racing and attack others but when you finish all racers that still have their balloon pass you making this game mode more about being carefull and defence
Battle royale mode:the battle mode but Has 100 players, can't be in teams, only 1 round and the winner is the last one standing. Is available on all battle modes of mario Kart 8 (except cops n crims)
2:00 OMG, I mentioned a similar idea in the comments of another video months ago. Where the courses could be interconnected similar to how you're describing it. And as for the sectioned courses, they could just follow which section is suppose to be next. As for what order you complete the tracks in, you would have a setting to either choose yourself or have the game choose for you.
3:26 did you mean shoot water behind you? Mario Kart 7 had first person mode but the bad thing was that it was tilt controls and you do not want to be tilting your 3/2DS when you’re trying to focus on the race.

How about car maker or car diy: you can design your own car like draw on your car and you can make your own glider and wheels and if you beat all the grand prixes you can draw on your vehicle
They should being back the most popular courses from Mario kart Wii, and any other Mario Kart Game (yes including Mario Kart Arcade, and sorry to anyone who typed this lol)
Mario Kart Wii CTGP has a 24 player mode that is playable but not fully released yet. I've played it and it's very fun for what it is. Also, a lot of the ideas aren't super great. Other racing games have tried a lot of those ideas, Sonic All Stars Racing, Sonic Team Racing, Chocobo GP (now a dead game), it hasn't really worked and varies on its success.
the ONLY way you could get me to play w 24players is if its mushrooms only or no items at all and straighr racing, otherwise itll be a twice-as-big sht show with all kinds of shrinks and inks coming your way
I really want an Elimination Mode for Mario Kart. It can have up to 24 racers, only a certain amount of racers can move on to the next course based on your placement.
Yes. This would make online so good
Knockout mode already exists in modded Mario Kart Wii. It’s fun
Sounds like fallguys
@@SilasStone87 exactly that's why I mentioned it. CTGP Elimination Mode was so good
Soooooo fall guys but in vehicles
We also need a Paint Shop mode, where you can create your own custom paint jobs for karts and unlock decals and stickers to customize your own kart.
Like on The Ds Too. I loved that
That sidekick mechanic sounds sick! Also Mario Kart 7 did actually have a first person mode by pushing up (or maybe it was down) on the D-Pad and it would put you in 1st person with gyro controls!

Yeah
Yeah I was gonna say this!!
sidekick is just double dash but just smaller
Kirby air ride needs to come to switch.
Might Be Too Late For That, But I’d Love It On The Next Console.
@Ice Fox 09 I probably won't have the console for a while and knowing Nintendo they might add a few switch games in there before they stop caring
Never played but yes
ong
It needs a sequel instead
These courses should get added for the next Mario Kart game:
SNES Mario Circuit 2
SNES Koopa Beach 2
N64 Frappe Snowland
N64 Wario Stadium
N64 Banshee Boardwalk
GBA Bowser Castle 4
GBA Luigi Circuit
GBA Yoshi Desert
GBA Lakeside Park
GCN DK Mountain
GCN Daisy Cruiser
GCN Mushroom City
DS Delfino Square
DS Waluigi Pinball
DS Rainbow Road
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
Wii Moonview Highway
3DS Rosalina’s Ice World
3DS Bowser Castle
3DS Maka Wuhu
Wii U Electrodrome
Wii U Sunshine Airport
Wii U Toad Harbor
@Super Mario well you're not wrong, those are some good choices (hopefully they add SNES Bowser's castle because if they don't, I'm deleting Mario kart from my Nintendo switch)

Some ideas are so cool! I would love a backwards-mode, career-mode or some sidekicks.
I want a weather/time of day system that effects the track like Wave Race Blue Storm. Like if it is snowing it is more slippery and maybe it can be foggy or rainy with puddles for going under water. It would also change the looks of courses and you could see classic race tracks with difference lenses.
7:20 We had that in Mario Kart 7

I like how people used to say "everybody wants nintendo karts" but now they just say "no.............."
We NEED a track builder (with good moderators)💀just imagine mario kart maker
Mario kart 9 wishlist:
-Adventure mode
-track builder
-stage morph
-new kart
-sidekicks
-pit stops
-shop
-first person mode
-alternate costume
-vehicle transformer
-victory animation
-ultimate move

I can really see the sidekick idea being real
there's a 24 player mode mod for mario kart wii/ctgp and it is very fun, but would definitely have to be a side mode and not the main game
Next Mario kart game should have the Kings from the Mario Movie to make your kart in front of you
Have you guys ever thought of becoming modders or game developers? Your ideas are that good!
First person was in Mario kart 7
Or a mario kart all-stars with mario kart 64, mario kart double dash and mario kart wii
If It’s “All-Stars” I’d Hope For At Least Super Mario Kart And 7 Also.
This is probably 100% never going to happen, but I wish for there to be some community engagement. An idea that Nintendo can think of is the ability to pick the CPU characters in VS Race, the same as picking the items you want for the race:)

7:21 Clearly someone forgot about MK7, they can implement it without it having problems, on the other hand it will not be used has much.
Instead of Career mode I'd like a mode that'd be shady and dark, like salmon run in Splatoon 2 & 3, maybe you'd have to illigally modify the carts or something.
Conspiracy theory: They want to include everything from this list & more in Mario Kart 9, that's why it's taking so long.
I don't think a Mario Kart 9 is out of the question. I'd like to imagine we got the booster course pass just to keep us busy while they work on it. Even if their not working on it there's still a chance of it happening. How? Don't ask why because I sure as hell don't know

if mk9 had adventure mode I would buy it in a heartbeat
Appreciate your work man!!! Keep it up!
Bowser Race battle mode is a brilliant idea, and I actually love the pit stops!
Great video with great concepts
MK9 could have SMBW’s Wonder Flower. It could make tracks really unique.
Mario kart 7 had a first person more that acted as the way to use tilt controls on the 3DS that was pretty cool!
1. Built in Turbo charge bar with 3 stages
2. RPM gauge with boost start margin range.
3. Special Items NEED TO come back, its far less chaotic that way.
4. More new tracks to adapt to newer gimmicks, less retro.
5. Hovercraft. Like in Kirby Air Ride it should be the new vehicle conversion when racing. But similar to Sonic Riders, you unlock this feature by collecting coins on the track while racing which allow you to take alternative path to the finishline. However each time you take damage from items you can potentially downgrade to the previous gear level if the coin count drops below the set amount.
6. Open World Tour Mode or Campaign with Workshops to upgrade parts.
7. City trial mode like Kirby Air Ride (😂 clearly most of my inspirations comes from that game).
8. Strategic paths in track designs.
5:25 man has definitely played the Cars DS game
I would love a mode where every racer has a balloon and depending on your kart stats the balloon will have more health. Getting hit by items, bumping into walls and falling of the edge all do damage and if you take too much damage the balloon pops. You can still keep racing and attack others but when you finish all racers that still have their balloon pass you making this game mode more about being carefull and defence
I think Super Circuit's gimmick was that it was the first Mario Kart on a handheld
Battle royale mode:the battle mode but Has 100 players, can't be in teams, only 1 round and the winner is the last one standing. Is available on all battle modes of mario Kart 8 (except cops n crims)
0:06 Super Circuit's gimmick was retro tracks.
We NEED an official Nintendo track maker! Because, I can’t get the emulators
I’d bet Nintendo would say the gimmick for MK8D is the double items (which it is basically)
2:00 OMG, I mentioned a similar idea in the comments of another video months ago. Where the courses could be interconnected similar to how you're describing it. And as for the sectioned courses, they could just follow which section is suppose to be next. For example, if you did the 4 Rainbow Road tracks in a single race, you could go in this order:
Wii U RR lap 1
SNES RR lap 1
3DS RR section 1
N64 RR section 1
SNES RR lap 2
3DS RR section 2
Wii U RR lap 2
SNES RR lap 3
N64 RR section 2
Wii U RR lap 3
N64 RR section 3
3DS RR section 3
Every time you cross the line at the end of each lap or section you would go through a portal painting, akin to SM64, and get sent to the next track on your route.
As for an adventure/campaign mode, I was thinking it could be a rally style game mode where you would have to race through a set of stages with the goal to have the fastest total time across all the stages. Using a little spreadsheet to double check my math, I figured the total amount of stages to maximize enjoyment would be 90 stages. The stage lengths would go from a single cup's worth of courses, to 2 cups, to 3, to 4, 6, 8, 12, then the penultimate stage would require completing all 96 tracks in a single race (once waves 5 and 6 come out), and finally ending with doing all 96 tracks twice each.
I thikn there's something to the pit stop idea but id execute it one of two ways, bear with me: |
1.) You get 3 'lives' like in battle mode and once u take 3 hits ur cart then needs to have a 3-5sec break depending on your karts 'surival rating is' or something while a team of lakitus pop up on the spot and fix ur car up - it could change the strats biiig time so maybe just an the non-game mode bute a side game
2.) its a risk reward and each lap has an aread where u can choose if you want on any given lap to pull in and despite the slowdown you'll et like, a double item box and ur ratings all go up .25 for a half lap or something
I think super circuit's gimmick were those jump pad things
I know that first person was a thing in Mario kart 7
You can play other people's tracks in mkwii, but you need to homebrew your Wii for that
You know, this would be a banger for the final wave of the MK8D DLC
Freestyle is kinda just battle, and I think you can just add it to one of the modes in battle mode to be honest.
DoubleDash was so much fun after school
How about car maker or car diy: you can design your own car like draw on your car and you can make your own glider and wheels and if you beat all the grand prixes you can draw on your vehicle
Nintendo kart could be a spin off
5:22 because formula 1 is the only motorsport series with pit stops
I would like to be able to choose what racers go in the race so you could do things like yoshi's vs shy guys and things like that.
When he said 2 characters one kart it reminded me of an internet meme
You know those camera angles while you’re spectating a on going online match? How about that can be an option in highlight reel idk😅
Here's an idea how about you have to unlock the car parts in the shop instead of just winning races
I just want to mention that career mode is basically just like my idea
This might not happen but I would LOVE to have Warioware characters join the roster
Skylanders Superchargers' racing mode does allow you to either race in the air, in water or on land. If they do this, maybe have some crossover?
7:14 Mario Kart 7 3ds has a first person camera mode.
They should being back the most popular courses from Mario kart Wii, and any other Mario Kart Game (yes including Mario Kart Arcade, and sorry to anyone who typed this lol)

Double dash 2. Every other idea sucks.
You don't want to build your own track?
Yeah track builder is a cool idea

people want mario kart to stay mario kart
yet we have Splatoon, legend of Zelda, animal crossing, f-zero.
1st person mode was on the 3DS, it just didn’t return for 8
Mario Kart Wii CTGP has a 24 player mode that is playable but not fully released yet.
6:09 "Acron Cup"
idea: lugi's poltergust could suck everyone in front of you in and spit them out behind you
You sure you like Mario? You always try to turn every single Mario series into a Smash game
I love how half these ideas are really good and half of them are terrible
I rpy want an open world mario kart gane mixing the platforming elements of regular mario with racing chasing and escaping
Return of mario kart 7
This dude really just suggested a battle pass

Fun Fact : First person mode exists in Mario Kart 7 I think

First person mode already exists in mario kart 7

@CocomelonsBiggestHater thank you fellow Cocomelon hater!
the ONLY way you could get me to play w 24players is if its mushrooms only or no items at all and straighr racing, otherwise itll be a twice-as-big sht show with all kinds of shrinks and inks coming your way
I would like to see a story mode get added to Mario Kart 9.
