Jesus what an intense game. Basically as tight as the game against Elias. Bloody Stella. Cheers for hosting Liam mate, hopefully I can make it down soon and give you a run for your money. -Sean
Great battle. Night fighting rules with cheap goblin shooting is so anxiety inducing, to say nothing of rerolls to cast on buffed warg chieftains. Hilariously courageous orcs and goblins carried the day here, what a match.
This was a great game! Its such a cool legendary legion. You have to be really good to use it well. Not having heroic strike means that you need to use a lot of tricks to be able to kill heroes
What a corker of a game!! So close at the end, Love the Orc on the top left of the board - he was probably so far away from the action, that he didn't know what was going on and just sat down and had a snack - with all those passed courage tests!
Rivendell Rivendell hero’s are the best. Those mid tier hero’s are so effective at chopping through troops. They also tend to be just the right calibre to ‘almost’ expire by most games end.
I am a massive fan of taking the twins and Erestor at 500 points. Having 3 striking heroes with elven blades is going to make everything's life hard. The Twin's tend to die right at the end where going crazy doesn't matter to much for them
It certainly was! I thought with 5's to hit and 5's to wound he was going to be safe! Also with two fate points I thought I would be better off to loose his fate than loose an elf or two. It turns out I was incorrect about this hahaha
Great bat rep as usual! Keep up the great work. One small thing at 17.00 shouldn't the prowlers make a courage test to charge Erestor before throwing the daggers?
I like to think of myself as an expert hahaha I thought that with 5's and 5's that I would be safe or at worst loose a fate point or two. At that point in the game I really didn't want to be loosing any numbers so taking fate seemed like a better idea. But in retrospect I would much rather trade an elf for fate and wounds off my leader
Really enjoyed this report - Just have a question about the 'inch' movements and control zones. There seems to be quite a bit of 'not moving a full inch away' going on, but in the past I've seen people just do a 'thumbs' distance. Is there an actual concrete rule to follow? At 09:11 the warg moves past the row of elves to come around the back of another Elf. The model is picked up and lifted over to it's new location. Can the warg move through Elven control zones, or overlap the base of a friendly model to move? It may just be me, but I don't think the base of that warg gets past the warg base without entering the control zone? Curious what you think about it in hindsight.
With backing up models they should move a full inch but this is always eyeballed and often times underestimated. At 9:11 It looks like there was enough space for the warg chieftain to move between the warg and the elves control zone. There just needed to be 25mm between the warg that was in combat and the approaching elves for the move to be legal and it looks like there would have been enough space.
@@ConquestCreations Thanks for the response - I'm teaching some new players at the moment from 40k systems and they are absolutely fixated on the 1 inch, as you can imagine, a lot of us just go 'close enough'. Spirit of the game and all that. Trapping attempts are usually obvious.
Cool batrep! Just so you know for future games you only need to take 1 courage test per round per model. When you passed your courage for being broken you didn't need to roll terror!
Thanks for the comment! With courage tests it's one test per reason per round which means that if you are broken you must take a courage test and if you charge a terrifying model you need to do a second courage test. But if you were to heroic combat and charge another terrifying model you would not need to do another courage test.
24:45 control zone issue here... Because the warg chief is having to pass multiple control zones to reach his target- I don't think this is a legal charge? Please correct me if I'm wrong
Bro prowler are insane in general but add them to assault in lothlorian and bloody hell they are crazy. The can wound Sauron on 3/3 if they get lucky enough to win the fight -Sean
Hey, i really enjoy your batreps, thank you! But i've got two questions: 1. Wasn't Erestor transfixed by Muzgur for the combat phase at min. 13? So he couldn't kill that orc. 2. Do the twins really have 3 points of might each? Didn't know that! :) Keep up the great content.
i like wild warg chieftens. i should buy 2 more of them and more wargs, they are big hitters for angamar. its a shame moria lost them in there army list.
First off, that's not a tail hanging between Liam's legs. Secondly, at what pledge level on your next KS do we get the statues of our favorite MESBG content creators?
@@ConquestCreations Excellent and thank you for the reply. I cannot wait for my ruined city full of bobble head Rossato and Liam cherub statues. You, yourself, might make a fine, frolicking nymph or satyr. Probably both.
Great game! Until the very last dice roll 😀 I have just one question: the Rivendell army was 500 points. What about the other army? Was it 500 points too? Thanks!
Conqeust Creations is Melbourne based but there are groups playing all around the world. I would recomend starting with some facebook pages that seems to be where a lot of the events are organised

You better get down here. We have to get a full series of Conquest vs Noobs
@@ConquestCreations The Last Conquest of Noobs and Men

@@ConquestCreations for sure, the lack of heroic actions (and low might in general) is tricky!
What a corker of a game!! So close at the end, Love the Orc on the top left of the board - he was probably so far away from the action, that he didn't know what was going on and just sat down and had a snack - with all those passed courage tests!
Absolute nail biter! The dice were really putting on a show. Incredible game lads!!

Uuuu what a close call battle, last dice was decisive. Waiting to Sean to battle next.
Those dice though 😂 Orks should have been flattened. That said Erestor immediately getting Boromired was avoidable 😂
It certainly was! I thought with 5's to hit and 5's to wound he was going to be safe! Also with two fate points I thought I would be better off to loose his fate than loose an elf or two. It turns out I was incorrect about this hahaha
What a game! Dice are a cruel mistress
They certainly abandon you in your time of need
Only poor generals blame the dice
Thanks, an exciting and tense game. I still haven't played this mission, and with a new edition coming out it doesn't seem likely.
That was some game. Nerve wrecking to last dice throw. Loved it. And Your style of bat-reps is great.
Oh, that was close. Excellent Bat Rep
Your terrain looks so good.
This is the Kingdom of Saxonia terrain!
Great close game, thanks for making Jacob.
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it
Intense batrep! Amazing!
This game was mental!
That was such an awesome battle
Thanks for the comment
Great bat rep as usual! Keep up the great work. One small thing at 17.00 shouldn't the prowlers make a courage test to charge Erestor before throwing the daggers?
Totally correct he causes terror
*so the goblin archers are DEADLY* .. puts erestor directly in front with no cover or in the ways :D lets call that *a pro gamer move* . Good batrep!

Every dice roll was huge! What a great game!
At the end it was all on a knife edge! Thanks for the comment
Played a few games with & against Assault on Lothlorien recently! They can be brutal in the right situation.
Very entertaining! I loved the reactions!
Warg chieftains are scary! Such a good model!

13:39 Erestor was transfixed he shouldn’t be able to make strikes after winning the combat.
that was an amazing battle.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice battle! Was Erestor's throwing dagger pretty ineffective? I would have expected some good use on the charge with the re-rolls and +1 to wound.
I was expecting him to be killing a model a turn but +1 to wound and re rolling failed wounds doesn't help if you miss everytime!
@@ConquestCreations Oof. That's some rough luck.

Can't wait to get my assault on lothlorien painted!
They are a super cool army! Its going to be a lot of fun to play
Do you have a link for the army lists?
Yeah Prowlers 4+(Army bonus, backstabbers, 2 handed, pierce) to wound in this list is kind of insane. And even Goblin shooting in this list is scary.
Bro prowler are insane in general but add them to assault in lothlorian and bloody hell they are crazy.
The can wound Sauron on 3/3 if they get lucky enough to win the fight

The grand finale is being filmed tomorrow and it should go out roughly a week after that! Keen to finally get it finished off

nice modell painting. where are the dice from?
We have a variety, some of them are the Last Alliance of Noobs and Men dice and some are from a tournament held here in Melbourne a few years ago

I'm brand new to the game and wondering about table size. Was this a 3x3ft or 4x4ft table?
Thanks for the comment! Welcome to the game. This was on a 4×4
Liam might have been able to end it sooner by stabbing with his warriors in the last few turns! Great game either way
What a great game was stupid how close that was.
Definitely one of my favourite games that I have gotten on the channel
