I think Celeborn is a very underrated hero within this army. For me he always has at least 1 Galadhrim court guard behind him giving him 4 attacks at F6 to win the fight with lord of the west re rolls and also a banner near by. Being D7, resistant to magic, heroic strike and defence and with the mirror behind him he gets a crazy amount of fate and can tank some damage if he has too. His spells are very useful as well, do I think he’s a Glorfindel level hero no but some people act like he’s someone they could never use effectively in a list which is crazy! I’d like to see a change in where when you don’t bring Galadriel in your lothlorien pure list Celeborn is a hero of legend as he is still one of the Lords of his realm, it’s crazy in the game he’s the same rank as Haldir when Haldir is a captain. Agree his stats are super solid, maybe we just have a thing against foot heroes 😅 I don't think he needs a galadrhim court behind him unless you stack 2, otherwise just a regular galadrhim spear would do! -Richard
@@intothewestpodcast I think as my first and favourite armies to play are Lothlorien and Mirkwood I just got used to the whole foot hero in a battle line play style early on though of course I love having huge mounted heroes as well.
What on earth is the point of just one Galadrim Court Guard, take 2 if your idea is to roll with Pikes, otherwise, save the points and have a spearman behind him.
@@Lerbrandt Yeah I always take 2 for that reason of course but didn’t explain I meant as example in the middle of battle when you might get caught and lose one etc I meant you’d usually have AT LEAST 1 left behind him so he’ll have that extra F6 attack but yeah I’d always take 2 to get the 2 extra

Lothlorien is one of the most complete armies in the game. Celeborn is a beast, i came first to a tourney in Greece and second to another one. Both lists include celeborn
I have seen Celeborn do work too, he is definitely solid but unfortunately being on foot only makes him worse than some heroes at that same point level. But as you showed, a good player in MESBG matters more than playing the most optimal lists or profiles. Great work! -Richard

When you play Celeborn you must include also Galandriel if you need to make a competitive list because Galandriel gives him the magic support and she can shut off very good good opponents like Azog Aragorn etc and then Celeborn with the lord of the West rule can finish the job. Great vid guys I love Loth, mained them for a year now defos my fav. Can do some fun tricks with enchanted blades on the mounted cpts etc Also funny you should say that I just took Galadriel loth spam to a GT and conquest was rolled first scenario vs ents..... Ps I won the game xD
I adore my Sentinels! I always bring two, being able to move and control enemy positioning is massive in some games. I wish they were a *hair* cheaper, but the Sentinels are almost always a favorite in every game.
That's the thing, Rules as Written would not be the case, Elf Bows are technically not "Elven-Made". Rules as Intended? You could very well be right. Has it been ruled that way at any tournaments you've been to? -Richard

Sentinels are at least a Valour in the UK meta at the moment - great utility piece and they have such a high ceiling as Richard said!
