As a non Muslim Indian. We consider mughul, nadir shah and Delhi Sultanate as colonizers though British was just colonized with industrialization and deep seafaring. If Nadir Shah or Mughuls had the same technology they'd most likely do the same. We don't consider the Scythians as colonizers cause they integrated with local traditions. Whereas persanization through mughul or Nadir Shah came with racial superiority which was similar to the racism of the British.
