I am visiting my daughter and as a teacher she is very busy gearing up for school. I felt her pantry was a little sparse so when we went shopping I observed her stocking up and put extra items that she selected in my cart. She thought I was buying them for me but I surprised her and took them to her pantry. That brought me peace of mind for her❤
Revive Our Hearts has a wonderful devotional series on the Proverbs 31 woman right now. It’s been such a blessing! I think you’d love to listen to the daily episodes, @marysnest ❤
Due to poor health, I’m no longer working, so we had to look very hard at what we were eating. What I found is that cooking my own beans, stocks, bone broths and most things from scratch. I look at what’s in the fridge and what needs to be used before it goes off. It saves lots of money, yes it cost time. But I sit at the kitchen table I’m watching lovely people like Mary.
I live in rural area of central British Columbia Canada, thus grocery shopping requires travel by private vehicle. Fuel costs are a big part of the equation of my food budget. I go shopping with another family to split the fuel costs . And a second method is to provide a standard list to friends that are nearby a big-box store and have time to pick up a few extra staples for me. Plus I learned that ground coffee can be purchased in 50% larger plastic tubs with tight fitting lids. I keep those tubs or storage. Sharing product information has been an unexpected benefit of shopping with other budget-minded people.
I lived about 45 min to a WM one way n an hr another way We didn’t go anywhere much so groceries were an outing lol We stocked up and didn’t go much. Ate brk and brought lunch, sometimes got pizza for dinner for a treat but usually just left a crockpot going for dinner or had leftovers waiting to be nuked.
I love you Mary you are the sweetest person! God Bless you. Jesus promised to never leave or forsake us and as He is the Good Shepherd, he will never let His sheep starve! Pray without ceasing ❤️🙏🏼
I have a variation on the first tip you brought up, for people who might need it. I like to keep my emergency food separate from my normal pantry and switch it out twice a year. So, during one half of the year, I keep two weeks of food stored up on the top shelf of the pantry where I won't be tempted to just grab my favorite bits and eat them early. And when I hit a certain date, I switch that food down to the normal part of the pantry and buy a new set of emergency groceries. This serves two purposes for me - it keeps me from eating my emergency food and forgetting to replace it, and it keeps me from leaving the food so long that it expires. I have hilariously bad time blindness, so its really important for me to have these rules set and written down. 😆
I like everything you talk about. I always have everything one or 2 backups for all pantry needs. When one runs out, I get another on my next trip to the store. I never run out.
Yes, I'd love to hear all about your kitchen routines. I didn't grow up learning very many kitchen skills and find myself playing "catch up." For example, I recently made my first sourdough starter just this week and I'm in my late 50's 😊. Thank you for mentioning prayer today. I too, find prayer to be "a lifestyle!"
Mary, I have been watching you for a couple of years. You are so encouraging! In the last 2 years we have started a garden, stored a number of weeks of food, stored water, gotten a Berkey filter, put aside extra medical supplies, put extra socks, hats, gloves and blankets in our car. And finally gotten a solar generator for at least our frig and freezer. We also cut up a huge pile of wood ( a tornado hit a couple large trees so we took advantage of that situation) to use in our wood burning fireplace. We have some alternative ways of cooking also. We are rotating our stored food. I need to learn to bake bread. Thanks for all of your inspiration!
I really enjoyed this impromptu/informal style video. You always provide valuable insights & information. A ‘day in the life’ style of you sharing how you pragmatically pull off your lifestyle would really help us understand how to get it all done. I also look forward to more yeasted baking ideas from you. Have a wonderful weekend !
Same! I like the informal style and would find it helpful to see how you do things on a daily basis. I think making habits out of these skills is where many of us really struggle.
Hi Mary! Thank you for doing this video. This "lesson" became abundantly clear to me back in 2020 when the supply chain for toilet paper broke. I had just purchased a couple huge packs of Charmin and a pack of Kirkland paper towels maybe a few weeks before. So, while everyone was running around freaking out, fighting the crowds to find toilet paper, I was set. And the peace of mind that brought was wonderful. I have since been working on that peace of mind with the other things your video discusses: food, water medicine, power...and then other things. I am in the process of rotating things now and I am finding myself thinking about my family and friends and neighbors. I am concerned thry don't have all they need to have peace of mind. I often discuss this with them but now I can share your video as well. If they have what they need, I would have even more peace of mind. Thank you once again, Mary. You are very much appreciated.
My big packs were normal usage lol We used a roll a day tp plus wipes, gloves The hoarding was horrific for us with incontinent adults & bedwetters Even laundry det was running out as ppl hoarded
Great video. Just recently I lost electricity for 53 hours. I have a pond, which is where I got water to flush the toilet. I have a grill and propane cooker. I also have a small butane cooker to use indoors. I work full time, so I kept my phone and work tablet charging at work. I also keep small phone charger station charged in case I do need to charge my phone. I keep one in my car. I hardly ever use a purse. Years ago, I used to take my bread ends into a freezer bag. Then when i was ready to make meatballs or meatloaf, I would grab a couple frozen endpieces and crumble into a bowl, then add the spices. I would love to see videos of yeast breads. Breads are so expensive these days. I have not tried sourdough yet.
Thank you for this Mary. At our place we like to follow the "tend to your own garden" approach as well as "slow and steady", taking the pressure off the feeling like we need to get everything done today. Things take time. And yes, having a pantry stocked with food and sufficient water at home is so key to ensure we have our basics covered. Such a great message to reduce the anxiety that many of us feel at times. Thank you again. I love your videos and I am learning so much! All the best, Jennifer (Northern Ontario, Canada)
I would love to see some videos on how how to keep your kitchen humming. I sometimes have trouble keeping up with everything or I'll make something, intending to use it as part of something else and never get to it. Our household is on the go pretty much nonstop, so it's difficult to keep up sometimes. I feel like I have gotten much better about managing the hour before I go to bed and checking in on all the "pets," which is what my kids call the ferments. More bread recipes are always a wonderful thing in our household as well! As always, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!!
God bless you Mary & thank you for sharing Padre Pio! He is one of our favorite saints. Your book is arriving tomorrow 🥰 Anything you share is wonderful!!!
Hi Mary, thanks for this video. Sometimes we need to hear things like what you were saying, even though we know it. Getting caught up with life sometimes brings me down. Im not depressed or anything like that its more of a rut. The Mr. has had a stroke and now he's takiing radiation treatments for prostate cancer, so I have to do the things that he use to do. I go to the store for a break. I always buy extra, I started years ago when I drove a school bus. We didnt work during the summer, so in January I would start stocking up on everything. So thank you for sharing this video with us. Hugs to you.
Hi Judy, I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. I’m confident he’ll make a full recovery. I know how hard it can be when you have to manage everything on your own. But it sounds like you’re doing an amazing job. Love, Mary.❤️🤗❤️
I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I would like to share with you that my husband had prostate cancer and is now cancer free. There has been so much advancement on this type of cancer to the positive. Stay strong and pray to the good Lord. He will help you through this. I to will be praying for the both of you. 🙏
Hello Mary! Just wanted to let you know I am so grateful for you and your channel. I have been listening to your pantry and prepping videos for the last several days and it has helped me take steps to start getting serious about my 4 corners pantry. I cleaned out, reorganized, and inventoried my 4 corners today. I don't have much of an extended pantry, but now I know where I stand.
The number one thing I have found to ease the stress of events is to simply focus on the things that are actually within your control and not on anything that you can't do anything about. If something happens that you need to know about, there are so many others who are stressing over everything that someone will surely tell you about it. If it's something that you need to deal with then do that, and if it's not then forget about it. Just ridding your mind of things that you cannot control let's you actually think calmly about your and your own family's situation and what you can do to focus on preparedness. Free your mind from the trash and junk that pervades everything. Peace of mind will result and calmness of thought will become your way of doing things. Your mind will be open and able to see clearly what you should do, without all the garbage distractions raising your blood pressure and causing indecision and confusion.
i would love more on yeast breads, and GF everything. love older home! they have so much more character! and i love this video and would love more “life in my day”. thank you Mary
I agree with all you have said it is great to hear from someone like you because I lost all of my grandparents! So thanks for that I pray to God for you and everyone that we never need this! But people forget to practice basic bushcraft skills shelters and making fires and get water and cleaning it so we don't need to use our medical items until we really need them as we don't know what is to come and May not be able to stay at home depending on the situations God bless from Canada eh!
Mary, when you repeated what your husband says about just control what you have control over! That was an epiphany to me! I needed that and I really needed some encouragement today as I look at the news and as I look at my level of preparation. Thank you so much, I've written it down in my phone and I'm going to repeat it to myself! Please tell your husband that this was an answer to prayer for me, this one little statement. God bless you both
I'd love to see anything with making yeasted breads, or any tips and tricks for making pretty much any kind of bread. I've gotten very interested in that process. Thank you for your always calming messages of your videos. You're right, calming routines are very useful right now!🌻
Thanks for this reminder video. I’ve been thinking I really need to make sure I’m ready for anything as it’s crazy out there and hurricane season is here, and winter, here in the north east only a few months away. Just watched your video on what you learned during the Texan ice storms a few years ago. Decided it’s time to organize my things so I’m ready for any emergency.
Great advice! Thank you so much for sharing! Point #1: I can deeply identify with the idea of living "from canned food to canned food". The difficulty is compounded when one doesn't have regular access to ways of cooking or storing food. This is why I so appreciate your approach of "cooking with economy and grace", of zero-waste and efficient use. It breaks my heart when so much food is wasted as people go hungry. I often try to think about ways of healing food insecurity and malnutrition. I really like the idea of combining local food banks with community gardens. I have come up with a plan where the suburbs on the edge of a city can be turned into food forests filled with plants native to that area in order to prevent urban sprawl, while giant greenhouses within the inner city can grow more diverse foods year-around when the temperature is kept steady by having a hot compost pile inside of each of them. It seems important to link these two scales together. In other words, by helping individuals become self-empowered by teaching them how to create their own "traditional foods" kitchen and garden, we can then link these up into larger communities where people can practice mutual aid (e.g.: having a seed savers exchange with all of your neighbors who are also growing their own food). The interesting thing is that this is not limited to only those with land or within "rural" areas (e.g.: people within "urban" settings can grow at least a little bit of food through container gardening or by maximizing their use of space with vertical gardening). Hopefully, by removing the arbitrary division between "urban" and "rural", things will become more sustainable and people will grow more connected to each other by getting a better understanding of their sources of food together. There is a closeness that naturally develops as family and friends both cook and share a meal together. Imagine this feeling spread throughout an entire city, and then across cities and nations until it covers the entire globe? Everyone needs to eat. Point #2: While it might not be wholly relevant to an individual family, the World Health Organization (WHO) actually has a list of "essential medicines" that are important within the health system in general. It would probably be useful to go through the various uses within that list and try to find herbal-based alternatives wherever possible. I've been wanting to do more research into this topic so that I could share it on my website. I have already come across several books that could be helpful, like Herbal Medic by Sam Coffman, Herbal Antibiotics and Herbal Antivirals by Stephen Harrod Buhner, and so on. In general, having good homesteading and survivalist knowledge in hard copy is just as important as having the materials on hand. Some reference manuals that look promising for their breadth of coverage are The Encyclopedia of Country Living by Carla Emery, Storey Publishing's Country Wisdom & Know-How, and Dare to Prepare by Holly Deyo. Point #3: I am out in the wilderness a lot, so my father had given me both a power brick and a tiny portable solar panel for charging my phone. Having more than one method of charging devices on my person is such a blessing. There have been several situations where they have helped me. I would love to make a small hand-crank generator so that I can have yet another means of obtaining electricity when it is needed. Having a couple of backup USB cables helps too. In general, having more than one means of accomplishing the same task can be very useful if one method fails. However, each method must be sufficiently diverse so that the failure of one does not impact the others. Thanks again for all that you share! It is deeply appreciated. God bless.
Thank you so much for this video. My wife and I love your content and find it so comforting and inspiring. You make preparedness feel very doable. God bless.
Mary, on charging devices - we live in hurricane territory so try to have multiple ways to charge, and now so many other devices use USB charging. Several years ago we purchased a “kettle” to boil water, but as it does so it generates charging for USB devices. It’s not the fastest, but it does provide two important needs for critical times.
I try to stay in control of my anxiety. Listening to your calm voice really helps me a lot. I work on my pantry every week. This Spring I did something new. I made violet and lilac jelly- - trying to always keeping on learning. Hug.
I need good yeast recipes and I’d love to make sourdough but I’m terrified! I’m 75….it’s getting late to start sourdough I’m afraid! I learn something from you every time I listen to you….I’m getting a charger to put into my purse….I never thought of that! My husband has lymphoma and I can’t deal with a phone with no charge because of my kids, Dr’s. And friends…You just made my day!!! You’re such a gem!!!! ❤❤❤
Beer bread is very easy. You can use beer or seltzer or club soda, self rising flour ( you can make your own ) or pancake mix that you add everything to, honey/ sugar/ maple syrup. King Arthur flour has the recipe on their website. It’s a mix and pour recipe. Not as healthy as sourdough but really fast. Not great for a sandwich but good for open face things or with soup etc.
Hi Mary,(my sister’s name too), I really enjoy watching your videos. I agree, prayer is so important, and not just one time. I do it often and have a conversation with God throughout the day. I would love to see more special soups like Italian. I also need a refresher in making my own homemade noodles. We have cleaned up our eating by eliminating processed foods. My husband and I lost a combined 20 pounds without trying just by eating healthier. God Bless you and your family.
I enjoy your channel. I would enjoy more yeast recipes. I would enjoy seeing how to use less yeast but still making a good loaf of bread, and I specifically enjoy your book, “Modern Pioneer’s Cookbook”. It is an excellent book. Great pictures. Understandable, well written recipes. I so appreciate you writing it for us. Hugs and blessings to you and all those good people in chat.❤
Mary, I really liked your impromptu video. And I would like to see a video with your daily routine. But I also would like to know how you organize so that you are able to make so many things from scratch. Like, do you have a schedule where one week you make certain things from scratch and the next week other things? I would love to make more things from scratch but don't know how to fo so on a comsistent basis. Otherwise I feel like it could take over my whole life. Thank you!!
Prayer - yes, ma’am! 🙏🏻. I went a bit crazy back in ‘22-‘23 and stocked up. My pantry closet morphed into 1/2 of a room. When I step into that room, I feel secure. Yes on the meds! Esp stock up on wound care too. And yes please, routines would be GREAT. I’m not a baker, tho 🤣.
Excellent information, thank you very much. I have been prepping for about nine months now, but I am concerned about those who don't prep because the bottom line is that we are not able to be responsible for those who think that we really don't need to prep. I believe that a power cut could last a very long time because I feel that some rough times are on the horizon. God bless you Mary.
I think you're quite right about those things. I want to be able to help people a little. But really, bartering would be a better way to do it. I'm still thinking this through, but I wonder if in some cases it would be okay if someone said, "Could I have some sugar," for example, if I said, "Yes, if you will weed 2 rows of my garden." I've had people say, jokingly (I hope), "Oh, we'll just come and stay with you." Oh no, you won’t. If they don't trade, or work, they shouldn't eat. And we are in no position to support anyone else.
Thanks Mary, i agree, prayer makes all the difference. And reading the psalms is very helpful. I like to listen to them being read on the bible app. God bless you ❤
I love the informal relaxed filming. Yes please show us baking with package yeast, that would be so helpful. I would love for you to show us how to organize our pantries too!
Dear Mary, I would love to see how you organize your day. For example you show that you have some grains that you plan to soak and you show that you've got your kefir brewing and different things how you keep it all running. So I love that idea of you showing how you run your kitchen. I need help even to plan a meal or meals. But obviously many things take preparation ahead of time, which of course requires planning. Sometimes if I get the energy to try something I have to put it off because I didn't do the preparation steps ahead of time. So I would love to see and even goodness see on a handout kind of how you do one step so that's that is brewing and then you're working on a few other things at a time so you have several things in different stages of progress. I love that idea!
Yes, please, on the yeast breads and "mock" sourdough. I still haven't gotten down getting a sourdough starter going, despite watching your fantastic video on that, but it's a work in progress for sure! BTW, I made your slow cooker bone broth recipe, and it is amazing!! So delicious and so simple to make. I definitely need yo make more of it before the winter. Thank you for all the wonderful things you teach us!!
We have a small electric cooler that can hold about 24 cans of soda. We got it for camping but have used it for my husbands medication during the TX power outages. I also used it on a trip to go fishing. It plugs into the cigarette lighter port. We didn't have to buy any ice! They make them now with rechargeable batteries and you can buy extra batteries.
Probably one of the easiest prepping foods that I have found is canned tuna that comes with other ingredients. ( Freshe’ is one example). I became a believer in these convenience foods during our last winter storm. I was prepared for the long haul, but not prepared for the stress of a short term storm emergency where the inconvenience and the emotional drama were at odds with one another.
We retired and sold our big home for kids to a much smaller senior friendly home on 2 acres. Hubby built a workshop for his woodworking hobby. Large garden and fruit and berries. For now I have been canning the excess veggies. A while until fruit trees mature. Not interested in chickens or meat animals. I have a nice pantry of home canned food, buy in bulk from restaurant for staples.
Thank you for this encouraging outlook! You are a wonderful encourager and teacher and easy to listen to. Looking forward to your day & night routine videos. Also do you grind your grains and then make yeast breads? I would be very interested in those too! ❤😊
Yes, Mary, great list! I always love your style of delivery! As far as the "power brick," I invested in solar ones for my family a few years ago. They can be plugged in to charge fast, but also can be charged by solar. But I haven't put ours in my purse, because it is already so heavy! Maybe it's time to clean out my purse, and carry fewer things! I would love to see some more baking videos. I'm one who struggles with sourdough. I wonder if different environments aren't conducive, or if I'm doing it all wrong. I don't like wasting flour, either! So that holds me back. But I am not against sourdough. I really would love to get that going so I would be less dependent on the store.
May God bless you for all that you do not just your cooking and teaching, but for the love that you share and helping others by listening to the Holy Spirit. May God continue to bless you and thank you.
This was such a fun video!! A lot different from your usual content, and it was really calming. If I am ever talking to anyone about prepping, I always tell them to have paper recipes for lots of delicious soup, it really stretches and is comforting. Love your channel Mary. GOD bless. BTW, ANY video you put out will be beneficial to all of us one way or another.
Such a wonderful video! The serenity prayer is such a gem! God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. 🙏❤
Amen to prayer Mary! Love Padre Pio! Admittedly I’m a big St. Joan of Arc fan especially when I need a very visual picture of courage. Not quite as peaceful as Padre Pio.🕊
The upcoming videos sound great, and would be appreciated. I so enjoy your teaching - though I’m not really a lover of cooking. Learning your tips, tricks, and good ideas helps me. Staying in the kitchen all day is not my goal, but you are like my sister n the kitchen via the IPad 😊.
😂❤😢❤ Mary, your timing for this talk was perfect. I'm on news overload !!! Your nice little video was soothing and reassuring. ❤ That's just like you. ❤ I bought your book but haven't had time to open and appreciate it. I'm still saddened by the loss of your mother. I enjoyed her on your show, took a break and the next time I checked in with your videos, she was gone ! 😢 I was shocked. You're a good daughter and you were fortunate to have such a sweet mother. Thanks for your work and genuine concern for others. Cynthia ❤ Plano, Texas
Oh Cynthia!! Thank you so much for the loving and kind words. I miss my mother so much but I know she’s watching over me from Heaven. Love, Mary. ❤️😇❤️
Wonderful! And Welcome! So glad you're here. You can find my RUclips home page here: ruclips.net/user/marysnest if you would like to peruse through my various curated playlists. Love, Mary
Mary, I enjoy your videos so much. You are an absolute beacon of hope and love in a world that is continually getting more harsh. Thank you for the ideas to get us all thinking about how to stay safe out there.
Here's an idea...use a small cooler than can be plugged into the vehicle for using for keeping medications cold during an outage. We always keep our vehicle gas tank full...so we could turn on the truck every hour if needed for a few minutes to keep the battery charged enough to keep a cooler cold. Truckers use them on a weekly basis.
I rely heavily on grocery deliveries because I am bedridden and I don't drive. One of the stores I shop at most often is Albertsons, who offers a very good rewards points system. I routinely save those points until I can obtain a $7.00 off coupon on meat and seafood. I only buy meat when I have one of those coupons, so it usually costs me little to nothing to stock up, especially since I only make a purchase when they're on sale.
Yes, yeast and all breads. I like bread rolls for dinner or with a lunch soup, the bread sticks they have at the Italian places (usually pizza joints), garlic knots, etc. This would be a very practical lesson. Growing up I mostly just had tortillas and for a treat corn bread. I love the European food though. Keep it coming. Maybe some waffles as well. 💘
Also, wondering if you could make some rice dishes in the rice cooker. I had a Japanese friend make this yummy rice with veggies and sauce all in the rice cooker once. The videos I find are in Asian languages, so one you make would be great. It is good if you want to stay home and still have a flavorful rice dish.
I would love to see more impromptu videos and more of your yeast breads. I love sourdough but many times I don't have the time to work with it so making a quick (really good) yeast bread would be wonderful. Thank you for all the information that you share with us. Stay safe and take care 😘
Oh Mary! This has been very special; you are so balanced in your preparation and encouragment! I've only recently 'discovered' you and am looking forward, very much, to following you in the kitchen!! It means so much to me that prayer is your first go-to.....I am right with you! Then, we do what we can and you have taught that extremely well today. Thank You! Cordelia

Mary's Nest
P.O. Box 342001
Austin, TX 78734
Thanks for watching!!
Love and God Bless,
Mary
I am visiting my daughter and as a teacher she is very busy gearing up for school. I felt her pantry was a little sparse so when we went shopping I observed her stocking up and put extra items that she selected in my cart. She thought I was buying them for me but I surprised her and took them to her pantry. That brought me peace of mind for her❤
You are such a wonderful mom!❤️🤗❤️
You are a Proverbs 31 homemaker, thank you for helping us prepare food we will really enjoy.
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for such kind words. Love, Mary❤️🤗❤️
You are an inspiration!! Thank you for the kind words!! Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️
I would love more impromptu kitchen segments. I enjoy all your content.
Great tips!
us too. northern Idaho
I lived about 45 min to a WM one way n an hr another way
We didn’t go anywhere much so groceries were an outing lol
We stocked up and didn’t go much. Ate brk and brought lunch, sometimes got pizza for dinner for a treat but usually just left a crockpot going for dinner or had leftovers waiting to be nuked.
I don't understand the comment about requiring a private vehicle. I grew up in a city and always used a private vehicle for groceries.
@@TingTingalingy she can’t take a bus or cab as she’s rural
I love you Mary you are the sweetest person! God Bless you. Jesus promised to never leave or forsake us and as He is the Good Shepherd, he will never let His sheep starve! Pray without ceasing ❤️🙏🏼
Thank you so much for the kind words! YOU are the sweetest! Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️
All the prep ideas actually bring peace and push back stress
Yes indeed!!
I have a devotion to Saint Padre Pio! I am asking him to pray for all of us here. His intercession is very powerful. ❤️🙏🏻
How true!! Love, Mary
I like everything you talk about. I always have everything one or 2 backups for all pantry needs. When one runs out, I get another on my next trip to the store. I never run out.
Prayer is everything, gives us strength, hope, and healing, thank you Mary.
Love that you are getting a sourdough starter going! And yes - prayer is a lifestyle! Love, Mary
Berkey filters are not that great
Pro One filters fit and are a much higher quality
Get out critters
Cytosporidium
Giardia
Etc
I really enjoyed this impromptu/informal style video. You always provide valuable insights & information. A ‘day in the life’ style of you sharing how you pragmatically pull off your lifestyle would really help us understand how to get it all done. I also look forward to more yeasted baking ideas from you. Have a wonderful weekend !
Will do! And yes, you have a wonderful weekend too! Love, Mary
Excellent advice! Love, Mary
My big packs were normal usage lol
We used a roll a day tp plus wipes, gloves
The hoarding was horrific for us with incontinent adults & bedwetters
Even laundry det was running out as ppl hoarded
LOVE Padre Pio!! Also, look into The Surrender Novena, Mary! This is amazing. I say it over and over again every day. 🙏🙏
Please do more sourdough with troubleshooting ❤
I love love love how you talked about the power of prayer first!
Yes, I would enjoy seeing you in your kitchen routines.
God bless you Mary & thank you for sharing Padre Pio! He is one of our favorite saints.
Your book is arriving tomorrow 🥰
Anything you share is wonderful!!!
Pulling back. This concept can be applied to many aspects of our life jobs, family obligations as well as our homes. Thanks for the video.
I'm interested in the mock sourdough bread recipe. Also, I'd love to see In the Life of Mary's Nest as you go about your daily life. 😊
I enjoy the variety of series, types of videos including family interviews, so a day-in-the-life-of videos would be interesting, too.
Thank you. May God bless you as you bless others.
More yeast breads & mock sourdough please. 🙏🏻 Thanks Mary!!
i would love more on yeast breads, and GF everything. love older home! they have so much more character! and i love this video and would love more “life in my day”. thank you Mary
Will do!!
God bless you both
Great advice on ways to lower preparedness anxiety, Mary. Have a blessed weekend.
Hey Rob, Thanks so much! Hope you and the SG family are doing great! Love and God Bless, Mary
I loved this ! YES bread yeast … wheat berries
Great advice! Thank you so much for sharing!
Point #1:
I can deeply identify with the idea of living "from canned food to canned food".
Point #2:
While it might not be wholly relevant to an individual family, the World Health Organization (WHO) actually has a list of "essential medicines" that are important within the health system in general.
Point #3:
I am out in the wilderness a lot, so my father had given me both a power brick and a tiny portable solar panel for charging my phone.
God bless.
Thank you so much!! So happy to hear that you are both here!! Love, Mary
Wow!! Thank you SO much!! I am so happy that you love the modern pioneer cookbook! I have a second book coming out next year! Love, Mary❤️🤗❤️
@@MarysNest ❤️❤️❤️ I am so looking forward to your second cookbook! Thank you for all the knowledge you provide us with.
Thank you!!
Great idea! Yes, I will share all of that! Love, Mary
Thanks for sharing. I would love to see your everyday routine. I love spending time with you 😊
That is so sweet of you to say! Glad you're here!! Love, Mary
Thanks Mary, i agree, prayer makes all the difference. And reading the psalms is very helpful. I like to listen to them being read on the bible app. God bless you ❤
Hi Mary this is Frank from North Dakota. I would like to see a recipe on yeast donuts
I love the informal relaxed filming. Yes please show us baking with package yeast, that would be so helpful. I would love for you to show us how to organize our pantries too!
Will do!!
Love the informal format. 💗💗
So glad!
Yes Mary! Please do some yeast bread baking.
That is awesome!
Excellent tip!!
Could you make some Italian bread as a video. I love your presentations. Thank you.
Will do!
YES! we would love more impromptu videos!!! That would be wonderful! Thank you Mary for all that you do!
Hi Mary, I love Padre Pio, yes we would love more yeast bread recipes. God bless you and thank you.
There are also coolers that will hold ice for 7 days even in 90 degree temps
Great tip!
I love your videos. Formal or informal. I learn so much from you. Thank you!
As always you are so wise and calming. Thank you for being YOU!
Great tip!
Yes I watched that vid with homesteading family, Thanks for the video today. We need the reminder to keep going
Wow!! Thank you!! ❤️🤗❤️
Yes, yeasted bread using ancient wheat or spelt
Will do!
1 Peter 5:7
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
AMEN MS.MARY 🙏🙏❤❤ thank you my prayers will be answered through our lord Jesus Christ🙏
Please show the yeast breads. Ive been wanting to start bread making. I would love to see you do your thing in the kitchen.
I’d love some yeast breads recipes. My attempts at sourdough, which is my favorite, were a failure.
Yes more yeast breads. Specialty/ Quick Breads Too! Love to you Mary. 🙃🐾🐾🩷
Prayer, walking, breathing deeply. Trusting God..
Reviewing all your sour dough recipes 😋. God bless you. I appreciate you.
😂❤😢❤
Mary, your timing for this talk was perfect. I'm on news overload !!!
Your nice little video was soothing and reassuring. ❤
That's just like you. ❤
I bought your book but haven't had time to open and appreciate it.
I'm still saddened by the loss of your mother. I enjoyed her on your show, took a break and the next time I checked in with your videos, she was gone ! 😢
I was shocked.
You're a good daughter and you were fortunate to have such a sweet mother.
Thanks for your work and genuine concern for others.

Oh Cynthia!! Thank you so much for the loving and kind words. I miss my mother so much but I know she’s watching over me from Heaven. Love, Mary. ❤️😇❤️
I don't like to turn on my oven in the summer either so we have a toaster oven we keep outside to bake our bread and stuff.
Very smart!! ❤️🤗❤️
Dear Mary. Once again, your information here is invaluable. It always has been. You are a blessing. God BLESS YOU.
Great advice. Not only does having backup supplies give one peace of mind, but the activity itself of preparing can be very rewarding as well.
This is my first time visiting you and I’m very glad I am here. Thank you and you will hear more from me later.
Wonderful! And Welcome! So glad you're here. You can find my RUclips home page here: ruclips.net/user/marysnest if you would like to peruse through my various curated playlists. Love, Mary
Thank you for the comforting words. It is easy with the world situation to have anxiety. I would love to have more yeast bread recipes.
Mary, I enjoy your videos so much. You are an absolute beacon of hope and love in a world that is continually getting more harsh. Thank you for the ideas to get us all thinking about how to stay safe out there.
Yes, I’d love to see videos on your daily routine. Thank you!
Great video, you are so calming and reassuring. Would love to hear more bread recipes and helpful prepping and relaxing time in the kitchen.
Great tip!
Mary all of your videos are helpful. But this one is a blessing to my spirit. Thank you. ❤❤❤
I'm so glad!
Bread recipes that can be made on the Stove top ... pls.
Thanks for the tips. And prayers heading your way for comfort. Love, Mary
🙏🏻🌻
Yes, yeast and all breads. I like bread rolls for dinner or with a lunch soup, the bread sticks they have at the Italian places (usually pizza joints), garlic knots, etc. This would be a very practical lesson. Growing up I mostly just had tortillas and for a treat corn bread. I love the European food though. Keep it coming. Maybe some waffles as well. 💘
Will do!! ❤️🤗❤️
Thank You! Cordelia
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!❤️🤗❤️
great video, I would love more baking videos, thanks Mary
More to come!
Yes please…yeasted and mock sour dough breads. 💖💖💖 And “day in the life” and nighttime routine kitchen videos. Thank you. 😊
Yes please.
Will do!!
Thank you for sharing, especially your purse contents - brilliant!
May God continue to bless you and your family.
