From what all I've seen so far from all of the reviews and from the Game Changers (or whatever they're called now), this pack is a horrible mess... I've seen outdated mods work better, smh. And the fact that they focused only on weddings and nothing else is extremely disappointing. No honeymoons? No better proposals? No proper wild "bach" parties? No one-sided crushes/unrequited love (like in the trailer)? No dating or romance overhaul? This would have been the _perfect_ pack to finally implement an attraction system! Not to mention, no wedding drama?! Where's the objections, for heaven's sake, or getting left at the alter (autonomously)! A wedding planner career, black widow aspiration, a bridezilla trait, a hopeless romantic trait, a monster-in-law trait/sentiment, nectar, etc. would have been great to add to this as well. Even wedding traditions from other cultures would have been neat. Not even a heart-shaped bed or hot tub, smh. Honestly, they really dropped the ball with this, and not just because of the bugginess. Even if they were to miraculously fix all of the bugs, the gameplay itself is overall extremely lacking. In reality, this is just a spicy stuff pack.
From what you’ve said I reckon the fantastic modders of the sims community will get into action to improve this pack. Not that they haven’t already done some amazing things with the sims 4. Btw someone has already done a wedding expansion pack with LTW(aspirations) it looks pretty neat. Probably the icing on the cake(no pun intended) for this pack.
I’m not going back to sims 4 anytime soon but this pack just screams bare minimum to me lol. There are SO many gameplay elements they could have incorporated for the theme: nectar-making skill & wine tasting, catering active career, wedding planner career, bridal shops, vow writing (like you said) which could be saved as a memory somewhere, wedding portraits, etc. What they “added” to me feels like it should be a base game update (except for the world, which is always nice for a new pack). I’m always disappointed with sims 4 but this feels extra low-effort. They didn’t even add an attraction system so relationships still feel completely empty. Sorry for the rant haha, love your videos anyway! 💕And no hate to anyone who does love the sims 4 💖
And... I've heard (I have not seen it myself since I haven't purchased the pack) that once you get the pack, you cannot use the previous methods of getting married. That's sad under the circumstances.
No you can, you just won't have the event and the goals. But you can have a dinner event, or whatever, and you should be able to have the vows and everything just as you always did. That's my understanding.
When you said you hadn't checked any other reviews, I just thought "Wow, are you in for a surprise! And not in the good sense..." The pack is so buggy, it makes World Adventures and Island Paradise from the Sims 3 look like flawless masterpieces! This pack seems so frustrating to the point only masochists would like it... This is also a MASSIVE Eff you to the players! Sure, a pack might have bugs in it, but hardly anything works! It's exactly what I expected: no one sits down, no one pays attention, no one cares, no one partakes in any of the activities, you literally need Mods to make it work! Carl from Carl's Guides has actually made a mod to make this pack playable. It's ridiculous that should be necessary!
Maybe people should stop making mods to fix it then. Hear me out, if people stop making mod fixes and people just didn't buy the packs because how buggy they are gets around, it might actually encourage EA to do their jobs and properly bug fix/test before release rather then them just shrugging and go "eh someone else will fix it that we don't have to pay and people will buy the pack because the mod fix exists." Mod fixes are great because it shows people care and want to help fix problems everyone deals with but because they exist, it gives EA a free pass to be lazy and half ass their gameplay testing.
It's true, but not everyone uses Mods. Console players for example CANNOT do so at all. The other problems are A) some people buy the pack no matter how buggy it is for the CAS or Build / Buy and B) some people are completionists and want it all regardless of how broken it may be. I think it's a complete travesty that mods are required to make any part of the game run smoothly at all! Sure, if they did not exist at all a few less people might buy it, but I'm not sure it would be enough to make EA care. The only way would be to organise a community wide boycott. I mean "everyone" thought Batuu sucked, but they still made sales.
Well, World Adventures had problems with the adventure boards in China and France, meaning quests would only work sometimes. When it DID work, there was no problem, but sometimes it was impossible to get it to work at all. You could "fix" this in-game to a certain degree or bypass the quests entirely by (debug) buying the tomb keys, so even though there were bugs, you are right it wasn't THIS broken! I actually never encountered issues with Island Paradise personally, just going off what I've heard, but true even with lags at least it WORKED!
@@Feluffle Not everyone uses mods, I don't and I'm sure a lot of younger players don't and people who aren't comfortable with using mods that they aren't sure how to properly set up or use in case they conflict with each other. You are right though, people will buy a pack just for the cosmetic stuff (which is stupid because CC is a thing and if they already use mods, why buy a pack just for a few new bits of furniture and clothing?). Funny thing is... there almost was a boycott of this pack when the whole russia thing came out. As for the whole buying all the pack regardless of if you even want the stuff just so you have them all... yeah some people have more disposable income then sense so honestly I don't really feel too bad for them if they buy it despite knowing it's a buggy mess just so they can say they have the new pack. Also i don't think everyone hated Batuu, James Turner liked it right? Or is it just the build stuff he likes? Either way, not really a new movies fan so wasn't ever gunna buy it so I don't really have an opinion on it other then it was a cash grab that worked XD. And at the end of the day, as a company, that's basically what EA exists to do so I don't have too much hate about them deciding to make it when they thought it would sell. At the end of the day, people who know the pack if this buggy and buy it anyway are as big a part of the problem as EA not properly bug fixing so I feel little sympathy for them when it's really easy to look up content creators like this one, or James Turner or Deli or even Fake Gamer Girl who all do sims based content and see what the new pack if like before you buy it. If they didn't, well they made the decision to be impatient despite knowing that like half the packs have trouble upon release so, you know, too bad for them. You can't whine to EA that the pack is buggy when you bought it KNOWING it was buggy because they'll see you buying it with the bugs as you not caring.
Whoa, It never dawned on me that there wasn't a honeymoon option. It would be a fun tie in, but I think vacation lots became BG after Snowy Escape, so technically players can go on one, but it just sorta sucks that that wasn't intentionally added in through this pack
The renral lot type was in the base game patch before snowy escape, but for proper honeymoon and vacation stuff I feel like we'd need hotels/resorts, too, not just the option to do the same as at home just in a different house. 🤔🤣
A pack that centre around a group of sims to do things together- hmmm. Sounds like the entire concept behind get together and that was able to achieve that outcome much better.
Thankfully Carl from Carl's Sims Guides has already started working on fixes in one of his mods, but it's sad that modders once again are the ones who make the game actually playable. R.I.P. console players
It’s not at all good that someone fixes EA’s mess for free, while people continue to pour money on that greedy dishonest company. They will never stop scamming people because they know someone will fix their mistakes for free and people will continue to buy these garbage packs.
“Let’s eat together… let’s drink together” but groups are base game and work better than this pack’s call to event options. And you can always call to meal even without a group. 🤷🏼♀️
Its not just your game mine did all the exact same things. I'm usually pretty easy going when it comes to the sims. When everyone else is complaining I just think to myself well it could he worse. Well.. I don't think it can get much worse than releasing a pack for 19.99 when you know it's completely broken and millions of people are going to be disappointed. Anything for the bag 😔
I knew exactly how this was going to turn out. It sucks cause you're so excited to try the pack out and it just ends in disappointment. And here people were hoping for an attraction system, maybe a party planning career, a honeymoon type of vacation option, a cake baker career/ aspiration.... dear lordy could you imagine how bad it would have been if they had tried to include a party/event planner career? lol As buggy as dream home decorator career is, I can't even fathom how bad an event planner one would be. And an attraction system probably would have just completely broken the game if they had tried it. Good thing we have wicked/wonderful whims and slice of life for that stuff on PC. Sucks for console players who can't use mods. I may eventually get this pack when it's discounted 50% off and modders have created fixes for what is wrong with it. Carl was working up some initial fixes, maybe he and others will do more to fix the pack and make it better.
You come up with so many creative gameplay ideas! I love the idea around 9:00 to have them write their own wedding vows. I went to my cousin's wedding this week and the personal vows were the best part for me.
I swear the leak with a date had to be an accident with the pack still being this rough, when they pushed it they should have done so by more than a week. I get that February is like the month of love with Valentine's and everything but plenty of weddings take place in the spring and summer so theme wise they could push it without being random and we could get a less glitchy pack release everyone would have won.
Also like who in the world is waiting to marry their sims on valentines, or buying a pack because of its timing? The sims would have bought this pack no matter what time it came out if it worked.
I got the pack for the world if im being completely honest. It's beautiful. Other than that, I have a honeymoon mod installed so that'll complete the wedding story once I make my sim. I do like how they added multiple wedding venues as well
I already wasn't sure about getting this pack because all the little nitpicks about wedding planning was my most hated part of planning my own wedding, but thank you for your honest review! I've decided that sadly this is another pack not worth getting.
I ended up uninstalling the pack from my game as it was so broken, there were aspects that I enjoyed however it was 3am and my sims were still not married, the cake was spoiled and the bride had to choose the sim she wanted to throw the bouquet to! very disappointing to be honest... The trailer certainly is a very poor representation of the pack!
i told another simmer friend a month ago that this pack was going to be completely broken. I just didn't trust EA to execute something we wanted well. At this point, I'm starting to think they're trolling us.
I had this one wedding quite a while ago, so it's not that fresh in memory anymore, but oh was it horrible. Had my sim marry Knox Greenburg on a beach. Cute, right? Well, I arranged a nice big wedding with tons of people, a bar, food, activites... Looked hopeful until it actually started. I remember the absolute pain with trying to get people to walk down the isle or keep sitting down. My favorite is also Marcus Flex (the ring bearer) randomly breaking it down on the dance floor while the bride and groom wait at the altar. When the biggest tragedy was over and the bride went for a toast, everyone started autonomously throwing rice at her. I am scared to play with My Wedding Stories ever since and before every wedding from then on always joke about it ending up like the one with Knox.
Such a disappointment 😞 my birthday is tomorrow & was so excited to get a new pack to “treat myself” with lol definitely not getting this pack until they fix all the issues (& prob when it goes on sale).
I honestly don't think I've laughed this much at a review! Yes the CAS and B&B are really cute, along with the world, but the actual gameplay having a wedding is just beyond terrible, would have better as a suff pack since you can't actually have a proper wedding, sigh
I knew the pack was broken, but not THIS bad! Yikes! How hard could it be, to set this up right? I know nothing of coding, but that should be the first part. Being able to click "start event" or "gather here" and having it actually work!
First, thank you for a proper preview of the pack. All the videos I've seen have been glimpses of the issues but this was the full on nightmare of the pack lol. It's not just you!! I have the pack but have not tried it yet because I take my weddings seriously and I just can't with how broken it is. I have Carl's Wedding Fix Mod but have been waiting to see someone use it before I do.

I just tried a wedding and funnily enough, the only thing that actually did work for me was "please take your seats". They didn't change into formal wear and the cutting of the cake and flower toss didn't work at all.
It's so unfortunate that the last few game packs have been so lacking in quality and meaningful gameplay, even though gameplay is what they're supposed to focus on.
this was a huge disappointment. I was SOOO excited for it and EA failed. They had such a great opportunity and I feel like they just effed it up. I do hope modders take this and run though. They will make this 1000x better imo
EA THIS IS EMBARASSING! That's what happens when enough of your studio is populated by people who think "marriage" is just a word, rather than a meaningful promise. None of the systems work cohesively with each other, but you can get some of them to work... sometimes. Notice that the things that work are: talking (gossiping), moving their bodies (dance) and eating. Nothing else works , and it certainly doesn't work in a cohesive whole giving YOU, the player, the power. Shame, EA, but not entirely surprised. The ITEMS are generally good, the world is sGORGEOUS, but, again, the emphasis is on the superficial. Aesthetics out of context are just window dressing without true, deep meaning. Really too bad, but deffo not worht it.
Later the pack did get updated The issue was the 3 arches The wedding cake can be purchased and you can eat and try it If you order it goes into your wedding event You need to purchase the toast tray and make sure there are no seats of better quality on the lot
Thank you for your honesty, enjoyed your perspective and review, as well as the attempt at urging a giant corporation to uphold their content's quality and standards...I'm appalled at how EA continues to get away with mediocrity and how the community enables it because they refuse to hold them accountable and will buy whatever garbage they push out despite it being broken and bugged.
i'm watching so many creators' reaction to the pack just to see them spilling the very hot tea... this game pack is so disappointing... i didn't think they could make a worse pack than dine out... or the retail section of get to work - we don't talk about her in this household 😂 but this... when i saw how broken it was even before the release... i'm proud to say that i didn't buy it and don't feel the need to do so at all... i feel very bad about anyone who lost money on this pack because they especially were looking forward to the wedding overhaul :(
It's so frustrating. Besides the fact that the pack is so blatantly broken, even the features that *should* have come with it are pretty underwhelming. We asked for more complexity, and they gave us micromanaging; we asked for more depth, and they gave us a million cake options. "Hey! We'd like a game that actually has consequences for the player's choices" "Ummm, how about another way to get into CAS in addition to the three you already have in game?" 💁♀️
Sooooo basically they could have released two kits with wedding cas and BB 🙃 neat. My bride's hair completely glitched and disappeared a bunch of times 😑
I was really looking forward to it too, I watched the reviews first though because I didn’t want a spa day experience all over again. It took years for them to fix the bugs in spa day, so maybe in two years or so wedding stories will be ready for accurate gameplay. It’s a great idea with great items, just need more fixing to actually make everything work. It has potential. 😭 Look at me trying to make it all seem better. Yikes
When you add so many sims to a household it slows the game down. Instead of adding them to your family to control them, add them to a group(Under Actions interaction). They listen better
I had the same issues - don't have 2 arches because some sims will split off and sit staring rapturously t the wrong wedding arch. My sims were just chin wagging through the ceremony then passing out on the couches because it took so long but to be honest it was fun especially since I really got it for the cas. As long as you're ok with your sims' wedding being a carry on movie I recommend the pack.
You have to click on the Sim you want them to throw the flowers to (We probably could have done with a major step-by-step on how to play this pack as it's quite unintuitive). But cutting the cake, getting guests to sit, gather at the aisle, getting Sims to say their vows and kiss (with AND without their officiant), dance together, say toasts - When NONE of it works, EA had no business releasing this game when they did. It's daylight robbery.
I wanted to suggest that EA should give us the option to "Call to table". We should be able to do that by clicking on any dining room table. Another idea is to "Gather at the table". I was just remembering that they do have banquet tables for dinner parties. Well, I think holidays and weddings should have their own unique tables to interact with. It's holiday themed. Your Sims can either higher a caterer to cook and serve the holiday meal or we should choose a sim to cook and serve the meal. When they are done cooking the meal, they can just click on the able and it will all be placed on that table. Then we can have our sims go to the dining room table and click on the table "Gather at the Table". All the Sims in the household should gather at that table. Once they are all gathered and seated. Your one sim should click and "Serve the table". Just like how a waiter serves a table at a restaurant. It should all automatically be placed. I just don't understand why they couldn't use the same mechanics for dining out, as they should for dining at home. Call to table is different than gather at the table. Call to table is like calling family to breakfast. It's expected that not all Sims will be sitting at the table together when going to work or school. But I want to at least sit at the table, when I want them to eat there. I believe the mechanic is all there. We just need to give EA the social pressure to fix the bugs and improve the game they stand by. Even if they move on to Sims 5. People will still play Sims 4, like they still play Sims 3. At least fix the damn bugs before moving on. That should be how they finish it. It gives me anxiety thinking of Sims 5. What would relieve that anxiety is if they fixed and improved the game. I want to feel like I've completely enjoyed Sims 4, when I'm done with it and ready to move on. That way when Sims 5 comes out, I'm ready for it. People will still keep playing Sims 4, because they really enjoy it. It would also help give us more confidents in EA, knowing they finish what they started.
It's not your gameplay but the pack is entirely broken, the only good thing is the world and the stuff you get is gorgeous, the debug items are amazing but the playthrough is totally bugged! I watched many Simmers trying it, not one actually worked! It's a shame that EA releases expensive packs that don't work, this is really dissapointing! You can watch Clare Siobhan (this one was hillarious lol), Little Simmsie and Plumbella.. not one managed it to make it work! If I would be a player, then I would get this pack sometime later and just use it for the items and the world but sure not for the wedding!
I'm just listening to her getting more and more disappointed as time goes on. They could have just locked the sims into a predeterimined animation for the wedding and everything would have been ok.
Frankly, a game updated 5+ times a year for the past 8 years that still has issues with unresponsive sims that smile and look around when told to do something is downright embarrassing.
That looked like a cc book, so Tia probably has cc accessories on that were installed for a pose pack or something. (I use S4S (Sims4Studios) to batch fix all of my pose folder so that the accessories are set to "Not for Random".) This might help you too.
I was pretty disappointed with this pack, my sims got married on the same lot and the attendees didn't sit down. They couldn't first dance, the father made his speech on the other side of the lot when everyone was in another part of the venue and then because he made an embarrassing speech he died of embarrassment. The create a sim items are so beautiful in this pack I just wish the wedding event wasn't so buggy
This pack is beautiful and I love all the things that are related with family gameplay. i was happy to see that there is options for you stop the insane micromanaging that events have in the franchise, what is my surprise that the player will have to just do everything in the old way of simming: the micromanaging and selecting every sim that have to be in the event.
this pack is pretty representative of how i feel playing the entire game. what it would be cool to be able to do isn't there, what there is that's available is annoying to fuck around with getting to work, and often i end up just shutting the game down to go look for a mod that will help bridge the gap. smh
The only thing I want that's in this pack, is that one outfit that looked like you could make Wilford Warfstach (a markiplier character-) I wish that specific outfit was in a different pack. I don't want this pack ever.
Glad I waited. I was already going to wait for a 50% off sale due to the recent track record in Sims4. So it's a $10 stuff pack with a couple extra lots for $10 eventually. Alright then. Bummer.
Impressive how EA is getting worse and worse in relation to The Sims releases. Every new package comes with a bunch of different bugs. It seems like they want to release it anyway and then keep updating and fixing it as people complain about bugs. disappointing.
I can't even think of buying this pack with it's buggy/glitchy gameplay (non-game play?) since I play on a PS4. But as always with all your work, your vid is a must-watch. Thank you!

I actually never encountered issues with Island Paradise personally, just going off what I've heard, but true even with lags at least it WORKED!
@@Feluffle Not everyone uses mods, I don't and I'm sure a lot of younger players don't and people who aren't comfortable with using mods that they aren't sure how to properly set up or use in case they conflict with each other.
You are right though, people will buy a pack just for the cosmetic stuff (which is stupid because CC is a thing and if they already use mods, why buy a pack just for a few new bits of furniture and clothing?). Funny thing is... there almost was a boycott of this pack when the whole russia thing came out.
As for the whole buying all the pack regardless of if you even want the stuff just so you have them all... yeah some people have more disposable income then sense so honestly I don't really feel too bad for them if they buy it despite knowing it's a buggy mess just so they can say they have the new pack.
Also i don't think everyone hated Batuu, James Turner liked it right? Or is it just the build stuff he likes? Either way, not really a new movies fan so wasn't ever gunna buy it so I don't really have an opinion on it other then it was a cash grab that worked XD. And at the end of the day, as a company, that's basically what EA exists to do so I don't have too much hate about them deciding to make it when they thought it would sell.
At the end of the day, people who know the pack if this buggy and buy it anyway are as big a part of the problem as EA not properly bug fixing so I feel little sympathy for them when it's really easy to look up content creators like this one, or James Turner or Deli or even Fake Gamer Girl who all do sims based content and see what the new pack if like before you buy it. If they didn't, well they made the decision to be impatient despite knowing that like half the packs have trouble upon release so, you know, too bad for them. You can't whine to EA that the pack is buggy when you bought it KNOWING it was buggy because they'll see you buying it with the bugs as you not caring.

Whoa, It never dawned on me that there wasn't a honeymoon option. It would be a fun tie in, but I think vacation lots became BG after Snowy Escape, so technically players can go on one, but it just sorta sucks that that wasn't intentionally added in through this pack
The renral lot type was in the base game patch before snowy escape, but for proper honeymoon and vacation stuff I feel like we'd need hotels/resorts, too, not just the option to do the same as at home just in a different house. 🤔🤣

Yeah, a "do you want to plan a honeymoon now" dialog and if you say yes it just goes into plan a vacation
Would be really interesting if you try out Carl's wedding fix mod. Apparently it cancels their actions when you call to toast etc so it forces them
A pack that centre around a group of sims to do things together- hmmm. Sounds like the entire concept behind get together and that was able to achieve that outcome much better.
Thankfully Carl from Carl's Sims Guides has already started working on fixes in one of his mods, but it's sad that modders once again are the ones who make the game actually playable.

It’s not at all good that someone fixes EA’s mess for free, while people continue to pour money on that greedy dishonest company. They will never stop scamming people because they know someone will fix their mistakes for free and people will continue to buy these garbage packs.

“Let’s eat together… let’s drink together” but groups are base game and work better than this pack’s call to event options. And you can always call to meal even without a group. 🤷🏼♀️
Its not just your game mine did all the exact same things. I'm usually pretty easy going when it comes to the sims. When everyone else is complaining I just think to myself well it could he worse. Well.. I don't think it can get much worse than releasing a pack for 19.99 when you know it's completely broken and millions of people are going to be disappointed. Anything for the bag 😔
I knew exactly how this was going to turn out. It sucks cause you're so excited to try the pack out and it just ends in disappointment. And here people were hoping for an attraction system, maybe a party planning career, a honeymoon type of vacation option, a cake baker career/ aspiration.... dear lordy could you imagine how bad it would have been if they had tried to include a party/event planner career? lol As buggy as dream home decorator career is, I can't even fathom how bad an event planner one would be. And an attraction system probably would have just completely broken the game if they had tried it. Good thing we have wicked/wonderful whims and slice of life for that stuff on PC. Sucks for console players who can't use mods. I may eventually get this pack when it's discounted 50% off and modders have created fixes for what is wrong with it. Carl was working up some initial fixes, maybe he and others will do more to fix the pack and make it better.
You come up with so many creative gameplay ideas! I love the idea around 9:00 to have them write their own wedding vows. I went to my cousin's wedding this week and the personal vows were the best part for me.

Actually it's kind of like watching Sims Bloopers! I got a good laugh at watching everything that was going wrong! What a disaster!
I swear the leak with a date had to be an accident with the pack still being this rough, when they pushed it they should have done so by more than a week. I get that February is like the month of love with Valentine's and everything but plenty of weddings take place in the spring and summer so theme wise they could push it without being random and we could get a less glitchy pack release everyone would have won.
June is like, THE wedding month, so they had time!
Also like who in the world is waiting to marry their sims on valentines, or buying a pack because of its timing? The sims would have bought this pack no matter what time it came out if it worked.

I got the pack for the world if im being completely honest. It's beautiful. Other than that, I have a honeymoon mod installed so that'll complete the wedding story once I make my sim.

I already wasn't sure about getting this pack because all the little nitpicks about wedding planning was my most hated part of planning my own wedding, but thank you for your honest review! I've decided that sadly this is another pack not worth getting.
I ended up uninstalling the pack from my game as it was so broken, there were aspects that I enjoyed however it was 3am and my sims were still not married, the cake was spoiled and the bride had to choose the sim she wanted to throw the bouquet to! very disappointing to be honest... The trailer certainly is a very poor representation of the pack!
i told another simmer friend a month ago that this pack was going to be completely broken. I just didn't trust EA to execute something we wanted well. At this point, I'm starting to think they're trolling us.

I had this one wedding quite a while ago, so it's not that fresh in memory anymore, but oh was it horrible. Had my sim marry Knox Greenburg on a beach. Cute, right? Well, I arranged a nice big wedding with tons of people, a bar, food, activites... Looked hopeful until it actually started. I remember the absolute pain with trying to get people to walk down the isle or keep sitting down. My favorite is also Marcus Flex (the ring bearer) randomly breaking it down on the dance floor while the bride and groom wait at the altar. When the biggest tragedy was over and the bride went for a toast, everyone started autonomously throwing rice at her.
I am scared to play with My Wedding Stories ever since and before every wedding from then on always joke about it ending up like the one with Knox.
It's beyond a joke that this pack was released in this state

I honestly don't think I've laughed this much at a review! Yes the CAS and B&B are really cute, along with the world, but the actual gameplay having a wedding is just beyond terrible, would have better as a suff pack since you can't actually have a proper wedding, sigh

First, thank you for a proper preview of the pack. All the videos I've seen have been glimpses of the issues but this was the full on nightmare of the pack lol. It's not just you!! I have the pack but have not tried it yet because I take my weddings seriously and I just can't with how broken it is. I have Carl's Wedding Fix Mod but have been waiting to see someone use it before I do.

I just tried a wedding and funnily enough, the only thing that actually did work for me was "please take your seats". They didn't change into formal wear and the cutting of the cake and flower toss didn't work at all.
Definitely going to skip this pack until it goes on sale and if/when it gets fixed.
It's so unfortunate that the last few game packs have been so lacking in quality and meaningful gameplay, even though gameplay is what they're supposed to focus on.
this was a huge disappointment. I was SOOO excited for it and EA failed. They had such a great opportunity and I feel like they just effed it up. I do hope modders take this and run though. They will make this 1000x better imo

That's what happens when enough of your studio is populated by people who think "marriage" is just a word, rather than a meaningful promise. None of the systems work cohesively with each other, but you can get some of them to work... sometimes.
Notice that the things that work are: talking (gossiping), moving their bodies (dance) and eating.
Nothing else works , and it certainly doesn't work in a cohesive whole giving YOU, the player, the power.
Shame, EA, but not entirely surprised.
The ITEMS are generally good, the world is sGORGEOUS, but, again, the emphasis is on the superficial. Aesthetics out of context are just window dressing without true, deep meaning. Really too bad, but deffo not worht it.

The wedding cake can be purchased and you can eat and try it
If you order it goes into your wedding event
You need to purchase the toast tray and make sure there are no seats of better quality on the lot

Btw to make a toast/give speeches, you have to use an item, which looks like a bucket full of champagne

It's so frustrating. Besides the fact that the pack is so blatantly broken, even the features that *should* have come with it are pretty underwhelming. We asked for more complexity, and they gave us micromanaging; we asked for more depth, and they gave us a million cake options.

"Ummm, how about another way to get into CAS in addition to the three you already have in game?" 💁♀️

I was really looking forward to it too, I watched the reviews first though because I didn’t want a spa day experience all over again. It took years for them to fix the bugs in spa day, so maybe in two years or so wedding stories will be ready for accurate gameplay. It’s a great idea with great items, just need more fixing to actually make everything work. It has potential. 😭 Look at me trying to make it all seem better. Yikes

When you add so many sims to a household it slows the game down. Instead of adding them to your family to control them, add them to a group(Under Actions interaction). They listen better

I had the same issues - don't have 2 arches because some sims will split off and sit staring rapturously t the wrong wedding arch. My sims were just chin wagging through the ceremony then passing out on the couches because it took so long but to be honest it was fun especially since I really got it for the cas. As long as you're ok with your sims' wedding being a carry on movie I recommend the pack.
This is why I just elope immediately. I freaking hate any wedding form.

You have to click on the Sim you want them to throw the flowers to (We probably could have done with a major step-by-step on how to play this pack as it's quite unintuitive). But cutting the cake, getting guests to sit, gather at the aisle, getting Sims to say their vows and kiss (with AND without their officiant), dance together, say toasts - When NONE of it works, EA had no business releasing this game when they did. It's daylight robbery.

I wanted to suggest that EA should give us the option to "Call to table". We should be able to do that by clicking on any dining room table. Another idea is to "Gather at the table". I was just remembering that they do have banquet tables for dinner parties. Well, I think holidays and weddings should have their own unique tables to interact with. It's holiday themed. Your Sims can either higher a caterer to cook and serve the holiday meal or we should choose a sim to cook and serve the meal. When they are done cooking the meal, they can just click on the able and it will all be placed on that table. Then we can have our sims go to the dining room table and click on the table "Gather at the Table". All the Sims in the household should gather at that table. Once they are all gathered and seated. Your one sim should click and "Serve the table". Just like how a waiter serves a table at a restaurant. It should all automatically be placed. I just don't understand why they couldn't use the same mechanics for dining out, as they should for dining at home. Call to table is different than gather at the table. Call to table is like calling family to breakfast. It's expected that not all Sims will be sitting at the table together when going to work or school. But I want to at least sit at the table, when I want them to eat there.
I believe the mechanic is all there. We just need to give EA the social pressure to fix the bugs and improve the game they stand by. Even if they move on to Sims 5. People will still play Sims 4, like they still play Sims 3. At least fix the damn bugs before moving on. That should be how they finish it. It gives me anxiety thinking of Sims 5. What would relieve that anxiety is if they fixed and improved the game. I want to feel like I've completely enjoyed Sims 4, when I'm done with it and ready to move on. That way when Sims 5 comes out, I'm ready for it. People will still keep playing Sims 4, because they really enjoy it. It would also help give us more confidents in EA, knowing they finish what they started.

It's not your gameplay but the pack is entirely broken, the only good thing is the world and the stuff you get is gorgeous, the debug items are amazing but the playthrough is totally bugged! I watched many Simmers trying it, not one actually worked! It's a shame that EA releases expensive packs that don't work, this is really dissapointing! You can watch Clare Siobhan (this one was hillarious lol), Little Simmsie and Plumbella.. not one managed it to make it work! If I would be a player, then I would get this pack sometime later and just use it for the items and the world but sure not for the wedding!

They could have just locked the sims into a predeterimined animation for the wedding and everything would have been ok.
Frankly, a game updated 5+ times a year for the past 8 years that still has issues with unresponsive sims that smile and look around when told to do something is downright embarrassing.

That looked like a cc book, so Tia probably has cc accessories on that were installed for a pose pack or something. (I use S4S (Sims4Studios) to batch fix all of my pose folder so that the accessories are set to "Not for Random".) This might help you too.

I was pretty disappointed with this pack, my sims got married on the same lot and the attendees didn't sit down. They couldn't first dance, the father made his speech on the other side of the lot when everyone was in another part of the venue and then because he made an embarrassing speech he died of embarrassment. The create a sim items are so beautiful in this pack I just wish the wedding event wasn't so buggy

This pack is beautiful and I love all the things that are related with family gameplay. i was happy to see that there is options for you stop the insane micromanaging that events have in the franchise, what is my surprise that the player will have to just do everything in the old way of simming: the micromanaging and selecting every sim that have to be in the event.

this pack is pretty representative of how i feel playing the entire game. what it would be cool to be able to do isn't there, what there is that's available is annoying to fuck around with getting to work, and often i end up just shutting the game down to go look for a mod that will help bridge the gap. smh
The only thing I want that's in this pack, is that one outfit that looked like you could make Wilford Warfstach (a markiplier character-)

Impressive how EA is getting worse and worse in relation to The Sims releases. Every new package comes with a bunch of different bugs. It seems like they want to release it anyway and then keep updating and fixing it as people complain about bugs. disappointing.
