    I just watched a new episode on Brick House Builds RUclips channel that showed how to eliminate the air charge pre-loads on The front forks. Might be worth a watch 👍🏻

      Yeah I saw that as well! I'm going to rebuild these forks with progressive springs and spacer for preload.

    As a general 'rule-of-thumb'..... the tight winds of the spring go to the axle side.

    Written in one of the older manuals is the addition of a vw valve spring , mine has something that resembles one .

      Interesting! So a small spring on top of the main one to provide preload I guess.
