My friend...I hope that you replaced the o ring underneath the middle main cap. They come off or separate for the griddle. There's a oil seal or in o ring underneath it. If its not replaced and it will be hard and brittle...oil can and will leak past it and out the sides affecting oil pressure to All your main and rod bearings. Just my advice take it for what you will the o ring is 6$ I had to rebuild mine again because of this.
what manual do you recommend following when rebuilding? I guess I need to know the torque specs on each item and what grease(s) to use for things like the bearings. this is my first attempt in rebuilding an engine.

Yes it’s covered in another video. For the most part every o ring, gasket and dowel and have been replaced.

Oem Honda prelude service manual, King bearings, Lucas engine assembly lube. Any other questions lmk man I’ll try to help you out.
