A lot of people are mentioning how you can hit them with a net to get the thought bubble to go away. This is halfway true. It does go away and let you talk to them like normal, but the bubble will return to them shortly after. You cant get it to transfer to all of your neighbors this way. Or maybe my game just hates me.
Also, if a thought bubble appears on your villager and you enter a building (museum, nooks cranny, house, etc.) and the thought bubble is still there after you exit the building, then it is 100% asking to move out. If the thought bubble disappears when you exit the building, it was probably a trade favor, or them giving you an item or them asking you to buy their items.

2:53 background track gave me such a huuuuge load of nostalgia I almost started crying I forgot the name of the track though sadly which is why I couldn't find it
The osts are giving me so much nostalgia it makes me sob... especially the first one, it makes me remember those carefree week end mornings I played Animal Crossing Wild World and New leaf, the good old time when the only difficult thing I had to do was to wake up early to go to school.
Omg thank you so much for this!! I've just spent SO many evenings time travelling to try and get rid of a villager who turned up randomly (I forgot to play on the right day for villager hunting), and couldn't understand why he never had the thought bubble! Now I understand... he was my most recent villager 🤦
Out of my three favourite villagers, Fauna I got from amiibo, one I got from a random island first try and the other was there at the start. Some advice for random islands is be kinda picky. Don’t get a villager just because they’re not awful. I did that recently, and soon after Penny was in the campsite and I couldn’t fit her in.
I've also noticed that if you see a villager with the thought bubble and you don't want them to leave, just hit them with your net and they snap out of it 😂
0:36 I hate waiting for somebody to leave & im like “FINALLY” & I tak to them for them to say “hey I have a new reaction” my goal is to ignore them so I have a better chance of them leaving,
recently kyle asked me to play a scavenger hunt w him n i dont think any other villager had asked me to play a mini game w them before but maybe thts bc of the latest update lol i definitely think there should b new personality types!
If you get a villager asking to move out who you would like to stay, close the game. don't worry it will most likely save your island without saving the cooldown.
For some reason I love almost all the villagers I ever get because they're freaking adorable and I always get unique ideas from them like candy when I was talking to her today I was talking to Changi she legit made me have a pop quiz I feel like that's something that most m-class and players don't experience that much it was about what costume of wear to a costume party
This is very helpful! I actually didn't know that you could choose which villager you wanted to boot when you use an amiibo card...I've had Bud(my favorite)'s card for almost half a year now.
I’ve honestly not even gotten to that aspect of the game very much yet. I’ve got all the villagers currently that I am content with so I can finish my island. But…are they ever really finished? 😆 I check the campsite. But as you’ve seen…it’s not good 💀
The thought bubble will persist if you close the game and reopen it if you got a 'buy my item' dialogue box or something similar instead of a move out option on a villager, you can't use this to move the 'move out option' to a villager but you can jump the thought around all your villagers until you figure out who it is on that specific day. The thought bubble can appear to disappear because its the same trigger as the villager calling your attention from afar and running to you so if that also happens you can close the game and get another thought bubble if you don't talk with them. Hope this helps someone out :)
I’ve time traveled for more than 2 month and none of my villagers had a though bubble I’ve tried time traveling more than 4 times and tried only talking to the one i want gone; tried talking to all of the other villagers; did not talk to anyone. And still no though bubbles on moving out I have 10 villagers Date: since 15 of october
So Apollo just showed up at my campsite and after 15 mins of trying to get him to come to my island he finally said yes and picked the villager that I want to move out!
I was so sad. I got a campsite villager that I really wanted (Beardo) but the random villager he picked to move out was a villager I absolutely wanted to keep (Diana) :(
Bonus Tip! If you buy some nfc tags, you can write the amibo of the villager that you want directly onto it! They have to be a certain kind of nfc tags, and you have to have something to write to them, but the tags are usually cheap, and most modern phones have some nfc capability. And there are plenty of guides online of how to do this!
I had no idea about all of this. I tend to just let Villagers move out whenever they ask. (except for 1 instance when I had gotten them to move in only, like 15 days ago, I must have gotten a different villager to move in a day after them to not be the most recent)
I thought it was a great feature when it kicked out someone I really hated. But otherwise, after a while it only brought me anxiety about not playing the game for a bit. I was constantly scared of logging into NL to find my dreamies gone. So much that I kinda stopped playing NL for 2 years.
i’ve seen people say that it stayed true to the game because they used to advertise it as the game that kept going even when you didn’t play so I did agree with that! however it did stress me the heck out haha I was always scared of my favs leaving
At least give us the option to make somebody move out through Isabelle, if I wanna “Discuss a villager”, it’s ‘cause I want ‘em gone, not to change a catchphrase, we’re the island representatives damnit

Sadly Sly, despite me giving him presents every day, was my second villager to leave after Cranston (part of those 3 villagers you design houses for) left after like 3 days. I wanted Mira to leave so badly for ages, and it took months until she pissed off. Because I have empathy (unlike some players lmao), I wasn't about to hit her on the head with a net every day. On my second island I have Goose and Reneigh, and as Reneigh is a sisterly I want her gone. I like Goose, however.

Molly came to my campsite and i didnt know that u could manipulate who they swap with and she said beu so i had so suck it up and swap them 😢 it haunts me to this day
I have currently eight villagers out of the ten maximum capacity. The two I intend to have move out are Beardo and Walt whom I neither asked for nor am enthusiastic about. I'm striving to get Audie to move in and be my next door neighbor and have a poster of her hanging on my wall above the doorway to the kitchen, and have an Amiibo card of her and just did her a third favor. Skye tried moving out despite the great relationship I had with her after she moved in to my island about a week and a half ago alongside Rex and Bubbles whom consecutively moved in right before she did (whom I met all three on the Mystery Islands and offered them to move in after my first encounter with them), and I thankfully decided to let her stay.
Ugh I had no idea about the most recent villager not wanting to move!! I have almost all of my dreamies and when I finally had my 10th plot open, I was villager hunting for kody (who wasnt being sold on nookazon by anyone) and instead found one of the 2.0 villagers. I immediately brought Sasha home with the intent to move him out and I time traveled in total 5 months and he’s never had a bubble. Now I know I’ll have to spare a dreamie for him to move
i've time traveled over a month and still no one has a thought bubble. One of my friends suggested its because the villager meant to have it is inside, but it takes forever to wait for everyone to come outside to check
Oooh awesome! I got my first ever AC amibo cards today for the new series and actually got a villager i really want xD So glad to know I can do the amiibo method to get them in quicker XD
I've definitely had villagers who have asked to move before with them being the most recent villager. I remember me getting pashimina and then 5 days later kicking her off lol
1:20 This actually isn't true. I've been trying to get a villager to move out for weeks. I have gotten each and every single villager (sometimes the same one after each thought bubble, which means that the thought bubble CAN stay on the same villager) to have the thought bubble to move out EXCEPT for the one I need to move. Even if I'm best friends with the ones I like, they'd want to move. There is no correct answer nor method to get villagers to move. **Ignoring them doesn't work* **ruining your friendship with them doesn't work* **No method works. None. You just have to hope and pray that you get lucky.
i think it's funny that if you convince a campsite resident to move in, they essentially guess which one of your neighbors is your least favorite and bully them out of their home
Thanks for this video 😁 I have been trying to figure out how to get Drago off my island because I had a empty plot left on my island because a villager before him wanted to move out and after so many days of no one living there Drago came in automatically 😔
I had my last starter, Stinky, move out about a week ago. I was time traveling around because I had seen Celeste the day before but hadn’t talked to her. And was trying to grow some bushes. I didn’t realize that time traveling would randomly move someone in to my empty plot. Somehow Judy moved in
Awesome luck right there! It took me 23 tickets to find Judy and 25 for Raymond. I somehow think that's luck for me. However, I think them moving in unexpectedly is the coolest way. So lucky!
You can also just mainly go to Isabelle and tell her which villager /unwanted villager you no longer want around anymore. Other quickest ways to kick out villagers Through the campsite with the amiibo cards Stop talking and interacting with them, even when they call the player by name. Tell Isabelle that they are no longer wanted around. Ignore mail from that villager. Use an amiibo to bring in a new villager and use that one to replace the unwanted villager. And mainly wait until the unwanted villager is outside of their home.
They should just make the villager thing be like a BNB thing where the villagers are more like vacationers that pay you for their stay on their island. Those who you want to stay you take care more for them to stay more and those who you least like just cycle out of the island to give way for new vacationers.
Actually one of my newest villagers *did* ask to move out, which I was very happy about because I loathed them. I accidently left the plot open too long and in the moved... but yeah I almost never talked to them and mostly just ignored them until one day they had the thought bubble over their head and wanted to move out!! @@pasgetti8798 they can teleport if they are off screen. I was literally talking to Goldie and went to have a lengthy convo with Stu, went up to the neighborhood- which is far from where I was and she was in her house chillin lol.
I've started collecting amiibo cards and I'm trying to recreate my original town from 20 years ago on the gamecube, with all the same villagers, so that's how I'm doing it.
"The most recent villager will never ask to move out."
Which just happened to be the one villager I wanted to leave. 😭
Same!!
I was doing the New leaf tactics. Skipping 5 days and talking to everyone. It never worked.
I got Marshal randomly from a campsite best day ever! I can’t even remember who I had to kick for him to move in
Oooh me too, just yesterday xD
"your most recent vileger will never move ask out"
Me:
* CASULALY APROACH GRANDMA *
Perfect timing. Now beardo can finally freaking leavw
HI
@@Adosoni oh hi!
perfect timing
LMAO A VILLAGER I DIDNT WANT ASKED TO LEAVE ONCE THIS VIDEO GOT PUBLISHED 💀
I've also noticed that if you see a villager with the thought bubble and you don't want them to leave, just hit them with your net and they snap out of it 😂
0:36 I hate waiting for somebody to leave & im like “FINALLY” & I tak to them for them to say “hey I have a new reaction” my goal is to ignore them so I have a better chance of them leaving,
I wish there were new personalities, or actual mini games in this game to play with them
recently kyle asked me to play a scavenger hunt w him n i dont think any other villager had asked me to play a mini game w them before but maybe thts bc of the latest update lol i definitely think there should b new personality types!
@@bastardassfuckgoblin Apple asked me to do that too
they should have a different shaped thought bubble for moving away and a different shape for favors and stuff
If you get a villager asking to move out who you would like to stay, close the game. don't worry it will most likely save your island without saving the cooldown.
When Leopold asked to move out, I nearly cried happy tears. BYE! 😂
I have had Elvis for over a year. I want him to go so bad but my others want to not him. Cant wait for the day he has that thought bubble
But as you’ve seen…it’s not good 💀
That "denied" wave is so funny every time I see it happen. Just OOF.
I found Erik in two tickets. Kyle left today. I found him again first ticket
He was my 3 villager
That was your sign to get him back lol
Kyle was my campsite smug villager and I replaced him with zucker I think it was a good trade
I’ve time traveled for more than 2 month and none of my villagers had a though bubble
I’ve tried time traveling more than 4 times and tried only talking to the one i want gone; tried talking to all of the other villagers; did not talk to anyone. And still no though bubbles on moving out
I have 10 villagers
Date: since 15 of october
Me seeing Lolly on the thumbnail: KORA I SWEAR IF YOU GET RID OF HER-
So Apollo just showed up at my campsite and after 15 mins of trying to get him to come to my island he finally said yes and picked the villager that I want to move out!
Wow, she spent that many tickets to find lolly when I got her in the part where u have to provide furniture for three villagers to move in lol
Nah but that duck really just went
"Guess what I'm doing. I'm uh-huh-uh SITTING!"
You mean Joey?
I was so sad. I got a campsite villager that I really wanted (Beardo) but the random villager he picked to move out was a villager I absolutely wanted to keep (Diana) :(
I got angry when beardo moved to my island but I at least got rid of a different villager that I did not want.
The best and picky true way to kick out a villager is to wait until you have all 10 slots filled. Then do the amiibo thing.
Why put lolly on the cover :’(
possibly to gain “eye attention”. like the term “catching your eye” because it’s a popularly known villager
oh my-
*YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW LONG I TRIED MOVING OUT HIPPEUX TO NO AVAIL ONLY TO FIND OUT HE WAS THE NEWEST AND COULDNT LEAVE*
I honestly miss the villagers randomly moving out on their own.
At least give us the option to make somebody move out through Isabelle, if I wanna “Discuss a villager”, it’s ‘cause I want ‘em gone, not to change a catchphrase, we’re the island representatives damnit
i spent over 200 tickets to try and find molly or fauna and before i logged off for the night j forgot to close animal crossing so it autofilled and all of the tickets went to waste 😭😭😭
Watching this as I’m waiting long time for Deli to go 😭 also the frames with Lolly…she’s just living her best life xD
I feel you. Deli was my starter villager (I reset recently) and I cannot stand her!!!
When Apollo walked past your screen, I saw Apollo in my game and got really confused for a second lmao
I really needed this. I have been trying desperately for months to get rid of one of my first villagers, to no avail.
i liked 1 of my first villagers - i got tad and plucky and im trying to get plucky to move out
@@chleo9415 I got Canberra, and Flip. I was on the fence at first when it came to Canberra, but I grew to like her in the end. Flip, on the other hand, needs to go.
I got Sly and Mira on my first island. I loved Sly and hated Mira (I don't like the sisterly personality at all, and Mira's look is just not nice; I have a pet peeve when it comes to the villagers having humanlike full lips, it's gross).
Mine were Renee and teddy they are both really cool, but I'm thinking of moving them out soon, just because I had them for so long and I kind of want some different villagers now
also beau was by far one of my fav villagers and i got him first nook miles ticket safe to say im never kicking that lovable guy out
Yess this is actually what I needed, ty!
i haven’t really had an issue with hunting villagers, i found sherb in 3 tickets, beau in 7, and bob in 18.
binging your videos while hunting for marina, wish me luck! love your content
howd it go?
@@chleo9415 i found diana and couldn’t pass her up lmao, too cute
Pov: you got Rodney as a villager
I saw him in my campsite earlier I left as soon as I saw him😂
I'm new to Animal Crossing, and just got New Horizons on my switch. My very first campsite villager was a blue cat called "Raymond", and he's adorable. This video was very helpful trying to get an ugly villager to move too.
I just wanted to make you aware that Raymond is not any old cat, but one of the most sought after villagers in the game
You got Raymond as the first camper because he is a smug personality. Only smugs are able to visit the campsite as the first villager for some reason. That happened to me too lol
@@sunshinerose2585 omg if that’s true that makes sense why Marshall was my first campsite villager 🤣
@@carimanola Yes! That's why
Molly came to my campsite and i didnt know that u could manipulate who they swap with and she said beu so i had so suck it up and swap them 😢 it haunts me to this day
Just ignore the character you want out. Also, walk into their house and back out without talking to them.
You should do a video with tips when you reset or flatten you island
We’ve time traveled 90 years and pudge still won’t leave
Ugh I had no idea about the most recent villager not wanting to move!! I have almost all of my dreamies and when I finally had my 10th plot open, I was villager hunting for kody (who wasnt being sold on nookazon by anyone) and instead found one of the 2.0 villagers. I immediately brought Sasha home with the intent to move him out and I time traveled in total 5 months and he’s never had a bubble. Now I know I’ll have to spare a dreamie for him to move
I just changed antonio's catchphrase to "LOO ;)" BAHAHAHABAAHHAHAGAG this is the best thing ever
I enjoy your animal crossing content! Thanks for the tips!
i've time traveled over a month and still no one has a thought bubble.
U KICKED PASHMINA????
@@simoneaichacisse8644 yes
1:20 This actually isn't true. I've been trying to get a villager to move out for weeks. I have gotten each and every single villager (sometimes the same one after each thought bubble, which means that the thought bubble CAN stay on the same villager) to have the thought bubble to move out EXCEPT for the one I need to move. Even if I'm best friends with the ones I like, they'd want to move. There is no correct answer nor method to get villagers to move.
**Ignoring them doesn't work*
**ruining your friendship with them doesn't work*
**No method works. None.
You just have to hope and pray that you get lucky.
for real. i dont like dotty she scares me shitless and i really really want her to move :^)
i think it's funny that if you convince a campsite resident to move in, they essentially guess which one of your neighbors is your least favorite and bully them out of their home
just to clarify: i don't think there's any logic behind their guess. they just pick someone to evict for you
Thanks for this video 😁 I have been trying to figure out how to get Drago off my island because I had a empty plot left on my island because a villager before him wanted to move out and after so many days of no one living there Drago came in automatically 😔
is it just me or is chadder a walking pun, he is literally a mouse made of cheese
Haven't seen the full vid yet but i I know it will be great!
Also you can annoy villagers by hitting them with a net, gifting them trash, or ignore them.
So lucky!
I once had one villager who just move in from the camp and already want to leave in the very next day lmao
This video is an absolute blessing... I spent 3 hours trying to kick out Diana last night, and she still won't leave. 🥲
not diana omg 😭
You can also just mainly go to Isabelle and tell her which villager
/unwanted villager you no longer want around anymore.
Other quickest ways to kick out villagers
Through the campsite with the amiibo cards
Stop talking and interacting with them, even when they call the player by name.
Tell Isabelle that they are no longer wanted around.
Ignore mail from that villager.
Use an amiibo to bring in a new villager and use that one to replace the unwanted villager.
And mainly wait until the unwanted villager is outside of their home.
Thank you this was very helpful! Now my first campsite visiter will finally LEAVE!! 😡😂
I kinda hope we can get upto 15-20 villager... They are so cute but I can’t get them alll
Luckiest thing that's happened to me in this game so far lol
did this happen before or after the 2.0 update?
