That was simply delightful and the music with drone shots so moving, another great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
These pictures are absolutely stunning! Who would not fall in love with France.. Exceptional drone footage and, as usual, beautiful choice of music and editing. ❤
Thanks guys. It’s a very photogenic place
Another great Sunday viewing 👍👍 thanks guys
Thanks
That is a completely different topic for a change and I really enjoyed watching it!
Thanks Henk
An interesting video guys. Your "host" was brilliant. She certainly knows her stuff 🙂 Cheers.......
Thanks Andrew
Nice video! If you live in the south of France & drive a Citroen Ami... It's impossible to be unhappy or depressed 😂
Indeed though I wouldn’t go that far!
Great drone footage and music choice!! lovely
Thanks
As a Yorkshireman loved the Yorkshire/Babycham reference🤣Another informative, amusing and thoroughly enjoyable vid.
Thanks Peter. We had a Babycham rep came to the pub and brought free glasses and stirrers!
Yes I am ready to watch ❤❤❤❤ I love you both and your Ami
Red light 😂😂😂
what a beautiful and lovely place, and the final part with the drone views is stunning, thank you so much for another Sunday afternoon brilliant video.
Thanks glad you appreciated the drone.
Montmartre has a vineyard but I much prefer the Chateau de Bellet indeed! :D Glad you took us to visit this amazing place! (I'm french I tend to overreact to wine and grapes :D )
What’s the montmartre one?
@@MeandMonAmi it's "Le Clos Montmartre"! According to what I read "the one we can see today was created by the City of Paris in 1933 as a way of stopping real estate developers from purchasing the land. Prior to the creation of Clos Montmartre, the 0.15 hectares of land had been used as a children’s playground and dumping ground, among other things." They produce about a thousand bottles each year and all the wine bottles are auctioned during a harvest festival. It is said that it's the most expensive cheap wine of the world so I guess the quality isn't great :D
Wonderful. What a nice video. And such a charming tour guide. Will be on the list of places to visit next time we are there.
It’s a lovely place
What a fabulous place and so close to the centre of Nice. I want to visit next time I’m in the area. Thanks guys for a lovely video.
Thanks Andy. It super close and a World away
Sunday isn’t complete until I see Elton ❤️. This was a fun video. What a beautiful location.
Thanks Ali. It’s very beautiful
Back on form, brilliant, out and about keeping us mere mortals informed of the South of France and Elton delivering the goods. 😃
Thanks
What a lovely place, drone footage and the music were brilliantly done, thanks guys 👋👋
Thanks Richard
Incredible! A lovely vineyard and the selection of wines offered met with your approval. Its true what they say about small vineyards like Chateau de Bellet, that rings a bell, they are truly underrated! Having to play by French viticulture rules, that’s what lends a unique character to their wines. Thanks for the tour! 😊
It is. I thought the white was very good!
Oui
ISADORA Duncan was quite a lady who also suffered a great tragedy when she lost both of her children.
Great video guys I really like this type of content and your delivery only makes it better.
You guys got a new toy then ???
Drone shots were great.
All the best
Brian!
Thanks Brian. She did. And one in a car accident (?) the drone isn’t new but being allowed to use it is. It’s tricky here
Mister Me and Mister Boo some excellent drone footage accompanying some great music 🎶 👌 👍 the lady certainly knows her stuff...an equal to Mister Boo's facts machine 😅 Chorley,Trumpton & Mister Ben what nostalgia 😊 another very enjoyable vlog. Remember stay safe & more importantly stay charged 🙏
Thanks David. Yes Mr Boo was outdone!
Hi guys. Hope you’re well. Just saw this. What a gorgeous city vineyard and I love the drone scenes. We’ll be in VsM for August and will have to make a visit to de Bellet. Violet is one of my favorite flavors. Thanks for the tour!
Thanks David. Yes I think you’d enjoy it up there!
Wow, beautiful Church, looks like it’s just been built…
La Turbie stone. Same as oceanographic museum in Monaco
Regarding Isabella Duncan’s accidental death, the car was a sports car made by the Amilcar company from 1926 to 1929. The car a CGSS was a lowered version of the CGS.
Thanks. But who made the scarf?
@@MeandMonAmi Roman Chatov.
@@MeandMonAmi I detect a slight hint of sarcasm in your response, however, luckily for me someone else has answered that question.
@@teddyboysdontknit810 Not at all. You set me thinking.
Lovely vinyard and the woman spoke very well about it. The wine looked very good i could almost taste it. Super views what a place for a wine tasting.
Yes lovely place
Great video. That looks a wonderful tranquil place.
Thanks it’s very lovely
What a lovely property and host, and what one might dream a French vineyard to be, and the next best thing to being there. I asked the modern Oracle, 'Chat GPT', "Is CLIMATE CHANGE Killing French Wine?" and about climate change in southern France, while the response was rather vague, it cited urbanization contributing to local climate change, and and an overall shift to wetter winters and drier summers, as having an effect on agriculture in Southern France. It also mentioned that southern France is home to many diverse and changing micro climates, and that wine growing has moved to higher elevations, which would seem to explain that while historic average rainfall figures for France over the past 100years have remained steady on average, effects are being felt in wetter winters and drier summers.
The last year has been exceptionally hot and dry I would say
@@MeandMonAmi The hot summer did come across often entertainingly in last year's episodes. Here in the west coast of America, it's been the longest, coolest, wettest most snowy winter's and springs in 100 years. There's also some satellite data that suggests the last couple of years show a marked decline in average global temperatures, some say is due cleaning two reduced CO2 levels because of lockdowns, while others suggest the earth may be entering a slight cooling phase due to solar activity, magnetic activity and orbital mechanics, but how does the average person make sense of fact from media and political rhetoric?
I love Sunday evenings and your videos. Thank you. And the Drone sequence was great. Il est tout neuf ? En tout cas, merci ! A la semaine prochaine !
No we’ve had it a fair while but it’s so hard to drone without hassle in many places we go
I like wine in my Bellet! Nice!
Me too!
I enjoy learning about the vineyard and it’s history. The views from the vineyard are gorgeous! Thanks for taking us on another wonderful outing! Love from Vermont
Thanks Rebekah.
Sit back and enjoiy you ,,
No problems,. Ok, no problems, guys! As long as you keep posting videos like this...
Elton is going on like a iank--- I love your guide!!!
Thanks Uwe!
Waw! I so loved this tour, thank you for enlightening us on the Chateau de Bellet! It’s on my shopping list now! ❤
Excellent
I see its been mentioned below and don't wish to be contrary but gay Paris has its own urban vineyard on the slopes of Monmartre overlooking the renowned 'Le Lapin Agile' cabaret bar. You can see it from the museum gardens where Renoir had his studio on the top of Montmartre. Cheers Me et Mon Amie 🍇🍇🍇🍷🍷🍷
That sounds worth a visit too!
Beautiful. We will have to come back when the grapes are on the vines
Yes a bit grapeless when we were there.
Yay! Finally a wine tour. How did I miss it before now? Loved it. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Stunning views and another great video.
Thanks Ray
My favorite Isadora Duncan story: She met George Bernard Shaw and allegedly fawned, "With your brains and my beauty, we should make a baby!" To which George Bernard Shaw answered, "But what if it had my beauty and your brains?" I just had to come back and say this was one of your most enjoyable videos yet. The stunning setting of that church, the wonderful, informative tour, the drone footage and the angelic music that accompanied it. It brought tears to my eyes. I also felt compelled to research that George Bernard Shaw/Isadora Duncan story. Apparently, Shaw was asked whether it was true and he vehemently denied it. But he did claim that he had given that reply to "an actress whose name he couldn't remember" that had made a similar proposition.
Thanks Stuart. Good ID story!
I adore the two of you!
I've been subscribed and watched every week ever since your collaboration with my much loved Fern .
Love you guy's! ❤
Thanks John!
Wine that smells like Violet Carson. Love it.
Now you’ve planted an image that will not readily disappear
Great video, gents 👏.... Tim, you always crack me up every video and take me back to my youth .... Mr Ben was indeed ace as was Trumpton & Camberwick green ... let's not forget Chigley.
Keep up the good work .... I'd much rather watch you two than the crap we get on British 📺
Thanks I’d forgotten Camberwick Green!
Great explanation by your guide on your tour . Thought your drone music was “ pie Jesu “ by Andrew Lloyd webber ,but it was “ tuis “ by Bonn fields. Very suitable for the scene . And more carry on music …. Great stuff as usual.
Thanks it’s a great place to drone
That was a super video, it had it all. Humour, interest and wine tasting 🥂 doesn’t get better than that. And the vineyard gets good publicity too.
And again, great production and music, thanks 😁
Thanks Nick. It’s a great place
No rain for a year and a half! Seems like desertification is happening. Maybe now is a good time to start planting a vineyard up north?
Very educational, but now I want a glass of wine! 😂 Merci pour une autre super vidéo ! ❤
Merci beaucoup. Indeed!
Great vlog, once again! Vino for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I say. That said, at those prices I would stick to the boxes😇😇😇😇
Yes it’s definitely a treat wine. The white was fairly sensational I’d say
I love French wine we used to go to the hypermarkets and look for the local wine then choose the bin with the fewest bottles left we were toldthat to keep the vintage exclusive the vineyard’s only bottle a limited quantity of bottles for the vintage the rest was bottled as a vin ordinaries the locals are well aware which the better wines were been sold as so would buy up the cheaper bottles and get th vintage wines that way we never had a bad wine but had some very nice tipples that way
Good tip!
What a Marvelous Episode which brought back happy memories of the times I went to Vineyards. Did you buy any Bottles? By the way I got a phone call from my Uncle Johnny at around 1:30 on Thursday, he told me your Package had arrived. I grabbed my jacket and rushed to his House, he told me put it on in the Spare Bedroom because it has a full length mirror. I had my back to the mirror as I put it on making sure the shirt collar was sticking out the top of the Long Sleeve Jumper. Turned round and look at the mirror and was amazed at how Good it looked. To make things even better, the shirt I was wearing was the same Blue as the Ami. I LOVED IT.
Perfect. We need a picture of you in it!
Great video, definitely putting Chateau De Ballet on our list the next time we are in the area. Cheers from a 1/2 Yorkshireman (Dad) , spent my summers around Withernsea , Brid and other areas growing up.
Thanks it’s a good and easy to get to visit from Nice
Thoroughly enjoyable video, Tim. What's another word for an urban winery? A vint-near-'ere. Speaking of wine, we also buy boxes of wine from time-to-time. Over here, it comes in 3 litre boxes, but I've a bone to pick. On the box it says it's good for 30 days after opening, but we've never had a box last more than 3 days.
I find our box wine mysteriously evaporates so that when you return to the box there’s always less there than you expect
According to the internet, one of their wines, the white Cuvée Baron G was served at the marriage of Prince Albert II to Charlene Wittstock. (G presumably because the Baron’s name is Ghislain). I find it sad that a property that has been in the family since 1777 (internet info) has been sold).
Interesting. Yes I think it’s been sold to a group. Sadly often the way of the world
Great vlog, loved it!
Thanks Janet
think That's the half man half biscuit band lyrics of time fly's by are bit dodgy . Love the vineyard and the wine looks great
It was
Love the hat!
Thanks!
what a beautiful place .very educational also love the channel never been to that part of France.
Lovely video, I especially enjoyed this one!
Thanks
Of course we subscribed.
Thanks Jim!
I lived in Paris when I was 19 years for 1 year. Went to different places in France 🇫🇷. But, now living in Japan for 35 years, I am from the UK age 70. Enjoy your adventures.
Thanks Edward so glad you are enjoying.
What a wonderful video. The vineyard is such a beautiful place to visit. The next time I'm in France, I will certainly pay it a visit.
Thank you Tim & Mr Boo.
Love it.
Stay cool Stay charged!! X
Thanks John
Another great video 👍. Many thanks for the vineyard tour and the scenic journey. These days, I also prefer red wine. The mention of babycham and pony took me back in years to the 70s. I also used to drink a mix of barley wine & cherry b......quite a potent combination once you'd drunk a few when only 16 years old 😂. Not sure if any of these are still made today.
Thanks Annie’s. I hadn’t mentioned or thought of Ping for forty years. Strange what comes into the head..
Good and interesting Video👌❤️
Thanks
Thanks Gerry
Another excellent video.
Thanks
Great video, very interesting, might have to visit 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks Bobby
A very good video and the drone shots at the end was epic! 👌
But at 21:09 I thought the lovely guide tricked you into the dungeon after talking to the other guy 🤣
That’s a video for our other channel!
Very nice Video again!
I live to see the areas and parts from Elton. I just bought a Rocks e for my wife and me.
Greetings from the north of germany near Flensburg. Thies & Veronika
Thank you. Hope you enjoy your Rocks. When is it due?
@@MeandMonAmi We will get the "Car" in ten days! We are very excited.
@@thiesdittmer7400 ours makes me smile every day (apart from really hot ones!)
That was a lovely video. 😊
Thanks
Next do Chateau Picard! Or have a whole steamed head of cabbage in one of the many restaurants in Nice that honor Isadora. Perhaps I'm mistaken.
I’ve not come across these cabbage heads!
Bonjour mes amis, de l'Espagne ensoleillée. When she starts talking about the prices one gets aches en chapel !!😏 For us to buy it online it is about 25€ per bottle, not your everyday common or garden plonk. I see that Edna has passed and, today, Len Goodman at only 75
Finally a chapel that’s open! Well actually it’s not a chapel anymore 😀
Just got to find a museum open now!
Next week!;
You two are so charming 😃
Thanks Claude
Isadora Duncan, she wanted to drive away with someone in an Amilcar and then it happened indeed.
A very unlucky girl she was, children dying, husband hanging himself, etc.
Yes she had an almost comic list of tragedies
Chipley and Trumpton were 1969 and 1967 respectively. That would make you about 62
They were still on when I was a lad. I’m not THAT old!
'Twas an Amilcar CGSS not a Porsche as it happened in 1927 . Isadora's scarf got wound-up in the knock-off wheel centre nut of a wire rear wheel.which broke her neck. Nasty.
Yes not a great way to go!
@@MeandMonAmi Nice'n'quick though, and it's resonated down the decades, so not all bad.
Isadora Duncan, portrayed by Vanessa Redgrave in the movie “Isadora”.
Indeed
Always look forward to your videos . On comment , if a queue of traffic builds up behind you why don’t you pull in and let them pass !!!?
We often do but it depends on the road
Norris Mcwhiter and his brother Ross
That’s it and didn’t one die in a bombing?
people are flashing their lights at you probably because they have seen you on this channel in your little Ami!
Maybe!
Wine in France, tres magnifique. Needs some Roquefort and Jacobs Crackers. Yummy.
Trumpton Riots! Half Man Half Biscuit. Do you remember that song?
No!
@Me and Mon Ami great song and very funny. I'm sure it's streamable.
There is a true urban vineyard and wine made in the Montmartre neighborhood of Paris....Le Clos Montmartre, a hidden vineyard.
Interesting have we been misled?!
@@MeandMonAmi Sort of , in southern France they mostly ignore what they do Paris 😂
@@larshelmin Well, but they have a point.
What are the grape types please? Couldn't catch what your delightful guide was saying
Thé grapes they grow are Rolle (vermentino in Tuscany wines) for the white. braquet for thé rosé and Folle noire and a little grenache for thé rouge.
Yet another superb, fun and fascinating vlog. Do you know "Amie in a van" on RUclips? She lives in a van along the med and is near Villefranche at the moment, might be fun to get in touch with her as, in my opinion, great fun. Here is an example of her vlog ruclips.net/video/mG_mgHdCFiI/видео.html
Thanks Paul.
Tim. Sound check brother.
The death of Isador Duncan is even more odd given her last words : Read it here, scroll down to the death bit : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isadora_Duncan
