After all, The Stig is just a character. They could have stuck any driver at Ben's level in that suit and pulled it off. I'll glad they didn't though, because listening to Ben talking about it now is amazing ❤

I mean from the authorities POV, they have paid for a permit to film and have a very talented race car driver driving for most of it, so it's fairly safe
VinWiki interviews a legend! Well done!👍👍 totally agree on the handbrake…..i don’t know who thought up the whole electric brake thing but they are WRONG.
Ben is not only a great driver he is a truly nice person. his RUclips channel is coming along well and he is gelling as a real character on all his collaborations with other channels.
Some say that his first uploaded vehicle on VinWiki was a tricycle and they’re interviewing a proxy on this video. All we know is he’s called the Stig!
Andy Wilman must go down as one of the best TV producers in history. To make TV that is enjoyable over, and over, and over again is almost impossible to do.
Well, they hit on a formula and repeated it over and over. It was formulaic to the point of being tiresome over time. I'm not saying there was no skill / wit to it. But I think it was working out the formula where the added value was.
Well that was bloody spectacular! I could listen to this guy all day. Thankfully he now also has a RUclips channel! Well played Ben, Stig of Blomqvist.
I met someone at a car meet who brought at lancia delta integrale, was insane and just random chance to see such a rare car I’ve driven so much in video games.

The lancia delta evo is one of my favorite cars both how it looks and power output. It’s just the perfect looking hatchback it’s got a timeless look. I don’t think anyone will ever make a hatch that comes close to how good the delta looks.

While not having driven most of these cars I do agree quite a lot. On the new NSX I think it would have been better (or at least more engaging) if they had just skipped the hybrid system all together, and just done a TT V6, and also have an optional manual. Given the hybrid system adds weight I'm not sure it's really helping very much on track, maybe more in a drag race, but IMO that's boring. Ultimately the NSX looks good but it's like the GT-R in performance, where it sacrificed too much user connection for raw speed, and then still gets beat around a track by a Camaro (ZL1 1LE) that does have a manual trans.
With reference to the Blackpool trip, they had to do 750 miles and they thought they couldn’t do it….. But in an earlier series Jezza drove from London to Edinburgh and back again on one tank in an Audi. That’s 800 miles. But it wouldn’t have been such good TV.
HE said my favorite cars, 911(the better you can get Turbo/GT3/2), Delta Integrale, Carrera GT and I love off-road, not as much as sportscars, but I enjoy it. Maybe go on a a budget and combine all with a Subaru Impreza STI or Lancer Evo with some mods, The subaru corners incredibly even in a SUV form with the boxer low between the front wheels, it listens to my inputs.
@@kirklamplugh5062Oh, they fired him alright. I know there was a lot of mumbo-jumbo about Clarkson being suspended by the BBC until the end of his contract and then the BBC not renewing it, but that was just a polite way of saying "get your ass out of here and never come back."

One of the most iconic automotive characters of our generation.
Ben Collins is a driving god. So humble, so polite, so fucking fast.
For a character who never got to show his face or speak, he sure did make a big impact.
"Because at that speed (400kph) things approach quite quickly" - Ben on maxing the Veyron on the autobahn. LOL.
"Nothing on it beeps" - Great quote
The iconic 'face' of golden-era Top Gear. Legend status car dude. One and only in my book.
Ben seems like such a genuine guy for being such an icon. I'm glad he is doing well.
How the hell did BBC not pay you enough for the best ever car tv show in history? You were just as much a part of the show as the other 3....
He literally lived every week in the bbc wondering if he’d be coming back the next. He sadly wasn’t held as high as the other 3.
