    Hi Bobby. About 6 months ago I asked for a recommendation for books on learning how to study better.
    You recommended Limitless by Jim Kwik, I studied it hard and got into his podcast as well, and my life went on a completely different path since then.
    You helped me save my life and enjoy while I'm here. Words can't describe it.
    Thank you.

      I definitely love pushing my other interests into art and stories I create and I think it's a great thing to do because on one hand we use our knowledge outside of art that can be very useful in art plus it's something that we love and it shows :)

    I was just thinking about what to remove from my portfolio just today so this video came at the perfect time. After you draw for years you notice the types of subject matter you always gravitate towards every year. I think you don't have to think about it too hard, you'll naturally figure out what you like after simply drawing a lot.

    I just got into an advanced art class, I felt so happy when I found out I got in, considering not much 7th graders can get in. When I went into the class for the first time, there were so many 8th graders that seemed actually good at art compared to my previous art class. I am extremely competitive when it comes to art and I really don't have other skills so I really want to stand out at the hobby I love doing most

    I feel like my art stands out, but I'm not sure how effectively it does so! I love doing illustrations of plump women facing off against twisted monsters that are like swirls of human features. My art income so far seems divided into people who commission completely different, more banal stuff (I specialize in portraits), or people who buy the art I like to make (prints, books, ect). I'm unsure of whether I'm driving away people who want to commission me, by focusing my social media presence on the unique, weird thing that I like -- or if I should double down and make it all about that.
    PS: I love Schoolism! Art school isn't teaching me any art skills yet, so I'm sneaking in some Schoolism on the side, so that I'm still levelling up my skills as I go.

    There's this drawing contest where you can win a drawing tablet. Just seeing the competition makes me worry so much. I think I have a chance since there are some flaws with the way they drew. But still, I hope this helps me. The theme is a cave and I suck at drawing rocks which ruined my other drawing wit everything else looking nice.

    another one of my main interests besides painting are also animals, which is why it is what i mainly paint. i express that passion and i try to show the world their beauty from my eyes. but at some point it feels unoriginal. there are so many animal artists and even while scrolling through instagram i think, “wow, they are all amazing. but they are all the same,too”. so it makes me think obviously, that i am just another one of the bunch. im trying to figure out how to stand out and spice it up, although it feels contradictory. it IS what i love doing, and at the same time i feel like i need to change my style to get recognition. and that feels wrong in someway.. idk if all that made sense

      @MarkaveliRises 2 года назад +1

      My advice is tell your OWN story in your art as much as u can. For example: an animal trying to draw and getting frustrated at doing the same thing over and over again (maybe next to a stack of the same drawing) -but you’d know better than me. I post my stuff in ig and don’t talk on there too much. Telling my own story is what helped me stand out and get ppl listening a bit more. Good luck. Find your voice first, then after that be consistent with it. 🖍💯 -mark
