      Stainless steel will be a better option, however, you may need to go thru the disadvantages before purchasing. Do you know that PE water has 10 years warranty as well? But many didn't know that...

    Hello Khor Geh, (do I get the name correct, sorry if I don't).
    My house is on a small hill. Main ws pressure is often insufficient to reach roof top tank.
    I am planning to install ground storage tank and a pump to pump it up to the roof top tanks, with a bye-pass, so that direct supply to the roof top and kitchen can be maintained when pressure is good.
    Please advice the type of ss tank (grd storage) and the pump. Can I use horizontal tank on a base frame sitting on a plinth?

    • @ATKCeWarehouse
      @ATKCeWarehouse  2 года назад

      I think it's workable. And yes, you can sit the base frame on a plinth but make sure it's able to support the distributed loading.
      You may refer link here: mini.buma.my/ewarehouse/atkc-sswt for the tank and water pump. I would suggest a 1 hp pump for greater efficiency.

      Yes, relying on the force of gravity. Which is quite a common configuration in most house or commercial premise (in Malaysia). Shower heads will function, but if it's "Rain shower" or big shower heads, definitely you need a booster water pump.

    Hi, firstly, thank you so much for your informative videos. I stay in single storey, the kitchen water pressure is strong, but master toilet water pressure is weak. My plumber says it's due to small pipe diameter connecting from my water tank. He suggests to make a bypass, so tat my master tank gets direct water from the main pipe. When there is water supply cut, the valve will automatically switch to tank supply.
    This sounds very good to me. My only concern is, will the water in the water tank become stale or dangerous if unused for a long time?

    • @ATKCeWarehouse

    Taking into consideration the fluid dynamics, if I install a 250L tank on the ground and a pump connected to the main water line, will it be sufficient for the tank to push upward to my main water tank on the ceiling? How will that work in terms of the ceiling tank to trigger the water intake from below?
    Sorry if this may sound silly but I have this thinking that the tank below will intervene with the original pressure from the main pipe for the ceiling tank intake.

    Hi would like to ask an opinion. I have only one stainless steel water tank placed on roof not in confined space. The tank supplies to 2 bathrooms upstairs. For downstairs kitchen and bathrooms is direct from filter after the meter. I have a water pump installed after the tank to fix the slow pressure to the bathrooms and the pressure is fast but, when i open one faucet in bathroom, the water flow is not steady as it pulses. If i open the tap fully than only its fast, but i cant open fully as the pressure is too fast. lets say the spray gun faucet if i open fully it also pulses, that sometimes can hear banging noise from the pipes on ceiling. if the water flow is steady than there is no noise. this problem has been experienced for years that my plumber tried fixing but still face the problem. I thought it was maybe water hammer but i have this water pulsing which is not smooth unless i open 2 faucet at same time than only the water flow steady. Any advice what it could be

    Very good explanation. I am renovating my double storey house and am thinking about the placement of tank, filter and pump. My architect suggested ONE tank only and place on the ground floor. Sounds like your last diagram. However, I am not sure what you mean by do a “by-pass” from pump to existing piping. Can you elaborate with a diagram. Also, for hot water system, is it better to have centralised tank power by electric/solar or individual electric unit.

    • @ATKCeWarehouse
      @ATKCeWarehouse  3 года назад

      The biggest challenge for installing a water tank at the ground level, is you need to install a water pump to continue supplying incoming water into the whole house. And, if there's no electricity, the water pump will not operate. As contingency place, I would suggest doing a "bypass" line from the water meter (source) directly to the "house", leveraging on the existing pressure from water source. If you need further info, drop me an email at support@ewarehouse.my attention to "Ang Kok Gei".

      Personally, I have a solar heater for hot water supply to all my bathrooms and kitchen. Absolutely, love it! High initial cost, but it's cheaper in long run. However, the problem that I have faced so far is 1. The leaking of the hot water tank (attached with the solar panel), which was luckily under product warrant. 2. During raining seasons, I need to constantly switch on the heater. 3. The hot water temperature/ supply may varies, so you need to constantly adjust the mixer.

I wanted to do some decorating in that space but its too compact and have no space at all because of the PE tank and the water pump up there . So for now i'm looking foward to replace it to a SS tank b'coz it takes less space .
    So my question for now is , is the tank need to be at the middle of the space just like where they place the PE tank ?
    Or i can just fit my SS tank at the corner of the space to free up some space ?
    Is there any regulation that i need to follow ?

    • @ATKCeWarehouse

      First, you need to identify the current capacity of the PE tank, by referring to the emboss printing on the body. Then, you can choose similar or bigger size of SSWT and model too. For the 2nd answer, you need to create a bypass channel directly from the water source (water meter) to the main pipe lines into your house. This will involve installing ball valves. For example, if you electric cut off, you need to close the valve into your water pump, and open the valve for the bypass channel. This will allow water to flow from the main into your house, just like any "original" setting.

    Question (scenario 3) :
    (1) when you mentioned about water pump, are you referring to "water pressure booster pump"?
    (2) what brand n model of pump do u recommend in your store?
    (3) to initiate the pump, we need some water flow to startup the pump, right? In doing so, what height of the ss tank should I buy? higher tank (tank's topmost) is better for initiating the pump, am i correct?
    (4) which ss tank do u recommend me (from your company)?
    Thank you ya sir ! pls do more awesome videos!

      1) Yes, since it's installed after the water storage tank.
      2) Personally, I would suggest Grundfos as I have been using 1 for almost 8 years.
      3) The trigger point is after the pump (outflow).
      4) I would definitely recommend my brand ATKC, since it's the same as King Kong Water Tank and produced & warranted by the same manufacturer. You easily save 5% from your costing.
