Just a thought ....since they did not paint the steel before putting it in concrete < in the future I would weld rebar horizontally around the base , paint it , and pour a 4 inch thick concrete slab around the base . Then I would weld some brackets to be able to bolt it into the concrete...at least then, if it rusts at the bottom, it will still be supported and strong . Nice to see your projects coming along.

Wow! Great job. How does the tank get filled? 500 liters of water will get used up fast, I think. What must be done to conserve water. Is it potable or just only for toilet and laundry?
For sure, that's for general use only not for drinking because most people nowadays buy potable and purified water from water refilling stations which are very common in the Philippines even in the remote villages. I saw once in her video, a truck was delivering containers of purified drinking water in her neighborhood. The water in these remote mountain villages usually come from natural springs, rivers and streams, artesian wells and deep wells for general use like washing, bathing, cleaning, cooking, etc.
U should do a guttering from roof & connect it to the tank so u can catch the rain from you roof & store it, it can be your back water supply during brown out or dry season.
Our water tank is x10 bigger than yours and it supplies our 7 rental apartment units. Our problem is the steel stand is getting rusted so we're thinking of building a hollowblock/cement base and metal on top.
With an elevated tank, Meljean has water on demand! In this installation, no electric power is needed for a shower or having water at the kitchen sink. This is an excellent installation for a supply of water when the piping installation is completed. Any simple pump can be used to fill the tank from many sources, including collecting rainwater in a barrel if she wishes. If you only collect rainwater in a tank at a lower elevation, Meljean would require a series of pumps and pressure tanks to have the same water supply on demand! An installation like this would be more expensive. I think the installation as shown is a great idea !

Hi Meljean, yes well done, we don't have a water tank at our house in Batangas. For what reason you need a tank like this, is it for heating the water, or is it available for a higher water pressure? Regards 😊🙏
She lives in a very high mountain and remote village. So the city's water distribution can no longer reach in her area. So the families who can afford, they have their own water pump while those who don't have the means to buy pump, they have community or public water well for general use (bathing, washing, plant watering, cleaning, cooking, etc.) but they can always buy drinking water from water refilling stations which are common everywhere. Water sources are abundant in that mountain judging on how the lush plants grow there.

@Meljean...I advise you buy a water pump as soon as you have a budget so that you will have an endless supply of clean potable water into your home. It is not that expensive. Your area has very shallow water table somewhere judging on the lush vegetation everywhere so the water level might be just a few tens of feet below the ground for water to be pumped up.
If plastic hose or pipe brings tubig into the house there is no need for grounding. Only if metal plumbing connects tank to home would that possibly be needed.
Need to build a water tower for my small house in Thailand. Already have the tank and use a pump to get the water from it, but its noisy and get fed up with maintaining the pump. So gravity fed would be best.

Looks Good. However, your water pressure will only be a few pounds. The tank is approx. 10 feet above the plumbing fixtures. It takes 27.3 inches (US) to give you 1.0 psi of pressure. You will have a gravity flow system. How do you get the water into the above ground storage tank? Maybe you're better off installing an underground tank, 1000 gallons, and use a 40 psi pump to give you some good pressure. I'm a Master Plumber in California and can help solve the math equations that you need regarding flowrate, pressure, etc. 1 psi = 27.3 inches. That's the basic for pressure. For sewage, shit flows down hill. I'm assuming you have a SEPTIC TANK or SEEPAGE PIT. Keep the discharge away from the Domestic Water Supply. I'm assuming RAIN WATER is your DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY. If YES, you need the underground storage tank. If you have a water supply from the City, you don't have a need for an Underground storage tank for your water. Maybe a BOOSTER pump to supply the OVERHEAD tank, to give you GRAVITY FEED. If you raise the Water tank 2.3 feet (27 inches) you're water pressure increases approx. 1.0 psi. Raise the above ground water tank 50 feet, and you'll have enough water pressure, approx. 20 psi to take a nice shower! Good Luck on your home. I enjoy watching the progress of your home. You're BLESSED to live near your family, loved ones, etc. Save your money and invest wisely.
Her place is high up the mountain, several hundred meters above sea level and is in a remote area from the downtown Cebu City. The city's water utility service doesn't reach her area any more due to the remoteness of her place. Besides, her place is also not on the main arterial road of the highway. The main water source (for general use) in her community are natural springs (which are abundant), streams, deep wells and artesian wells. For drinking, most people in her community buy water from water refilling stations which also offer delivery door-to-door service. So the use of her water tank must be only for a good supply of water for her kitchen and toilet.
@@lionhearted1969 Thanks for your reply. I understand she needs to buy drinking water. You mentioned the water tank is OK for kitchen and toilet. How about shower? Same as toilet use, I hope. I think you can buy a water filtration system that can treat the rainwater so it's potable and able to drink as domestic water. It would be cheaper than buying ...domestic(drinking) water.

Hello maam mj ure view so look good where province u live in maam mj
Good job meljean you are beautiful and smart❤❤❤❤
very nice
@@kenmichael380 Yes, that includes for shower too because the shower is right inside the toilet as well. :-)
The garden looks really good. U have alot growing
