this footage is an absolute blessing-as is paul. life has never been that great but i'll be honest......the thought of dying and never getting to listen to paul's music again is a devastation i can't handle. i'll live for that, if for anything

Lived in Redondo Beach for awhile. Every so often I’d take a drive to amoeba to get some CDs. It’s the last real record shop in LA! I loved going there! From Minneapolis myself, so we’ve always enjoyed the replacements representing us! Thanks guys!
I think every performing artists have shows that hit the mark every time while some don't. Paul's worst performances, either solo with the Mats, are still way better than most of today's artists because his ingenuity shines every time.
Amazing set. I actually did catch that CNN segment he was talking about-it was a Sunday morning and really frustrating since the host did not get him at all. No to mention they cut him off mid-song.
Did Paul move the strap button on his es-330 to the bottom of the neck? That’s how it looks to me. And it makes sense because the neck on 330’s/Casinos is set really far into the body, perhaps making it uncomfortable for some people. Moving the strap button to the bottom of the neck would alleviate that somewhat.

what compels an otherwise decent person to heckle a performer with their songs like they didn't come prepared with a setlist? from my new book 'type a holes'
@@frontcentermusician Lol, the comments on Westerberg videos can get so wild. He gets people in their feels, makes them say dumb vulnerable things. I think one time I got hammered in college and tried to send him an email. Some random person must’ve gotten it and was probably confused out of their minds hahaha
2002, baby!! I was born in '92 so I'm not old enough to miss the 90s. But I miss the 00s!! No smartphones, no social media, kids still played outside and there was great stuff on the radio...
Have you heard his Grandpaboy stuff? The albums Mono, Stereo, Come Feel Me Tremble, and Dead Man Shake is some of the best rock n roll ever put out. It's timeless, gritty, stuff.

This came up in my RUclips feed. I was there somewhere. I don’t think I’ve been back to Amoeba since, sadly.
This is the best version of "Someone take the Wheel" I have ever heard!! Also, no one makes a 12 string sing like Paul!!

Beautiful and precious, it all walks my mind.
Angels Walk.
Thank you for this video!! Totally made my day🤙🏼
Twelve strings; so much more room for creativity.🧑🎨♾️🎸
thanks for posting , I was there
me too!
Thank you for posting! This is great! What an artist!
These songs are all so great

Too bad he didn't record the in stores and radio show appearances from this tour. He gave some amazing performances.
omg, great footage!
Fuck. He's just so good. Hope he's got another album (or 20) in him.
"Is there anything there?"
Coolest move I've ever seen

Anybody know what chords he’s playing during We May be the Ones? Alt tuning maybe??
Wish someone had listed the setlist.

I'm the only one singing along...the fans don't know the words yet!
track listing stamp?
please post setllst times
Great set. Though what about Things or First Glimmer? Maybe Unsatisfied could have been better but I'm never satisfied but Paul comes closest.
Dope
Think of me sometimes

He’s better than the replacements.
hahahahaah this is a joke comment, right???
Without the REPLACEMENTS there would be no Paul Westerberg to listen to...
This makes me lonely for what's to come. Jesus have Grace on me
weird.

@@ironflazambat5815 Hah yeah, Paul doesn't even own a computer.
For once no phones.... everyone is shutting the fuck up and basking in the destiny that is Paul and the Replacements!!!!

Short people make poor camera people.
This is around the Period he lost me. His songs became very predictable, uninspired, and just plain boring

Listened to all of that, donated all of the CD's to Goodwill. Sorry does nothing for me@@svviftghost
hahahaaha.. let's hear yer stuff. Post one of yer songs chief.
Yer? Learn how to spell, then get back to me Chief@@jdustan
Maybe u were just on ur Period when u wrote this?
