Witness two men who lived the rock n' roll nightmare, and persevered. Their commitment to not giving a shit if you liked it or not was unparalleled, yet Westerberg's songwriting is American treasure.
Paul is the best songwriter almost with Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Nirvana? what a joke. Replacements: We Owe you a Lot. Never mind. You can Turn your back on a pay-you-back, last call. First the glass, then the leaves that pass, then comes the snow. Ain't much to rake anyway in the fall
When I first got “Stink” and was listening to it in the car one day I remember thinking they sounded like a train that could’ve gone off the rails at any second. I loved it!

Yeah I love Paul and his unpredictability forever but too bad he checked out on this final tour for whatever reason. I guess it’s fitting, Paul thinks a lot about things. Kind of like Pete Townsend, can be very grumpy and glum
he also doesn't look so old. I remember them on SNL.that's when I started buying their records. before that I knew some of their stuff from college radio. the left side of the dial won't let you down.
@@tonym994 yeah hes aged very well, good genes for sure! I love the SNL recording, you used to be able to find the whole thing; bastards and kiss me on the bus which I cant find anymore, really a bummer cause that was a really fun performance! I'm glad they unearthed Never Mind. Always had that old style Replacements feel to it. Nicely done. Saw Westerberg back in the Grandpaboy days and it was good, complete with a couple 'Mats songs. Like to see these guys though, as long as they don't price themselves out. R.I.P Bob. Great to hear Slim appeared at record store day in 2015.
@@countvond233 Wish you'd seen him the nights I've seen him solo/Bash and Pop. I mean, I've seen the "poor execution" moments on line that were not stellar. In my lucky nights he's delivered. Every time. Multiple times solo, 2 x's with the Mats. Total tool? Nope.
How the fuck did I miss this tour? Oh, that’s right, I was recovering from a concussion. Fucking Mats would do that to me. So like them. Never Mind is a gorram masterpiece. Luckily I saw them twice before they broke up and Bash and a Pop, and PW’s first ever solo show in Cambridge, MA plus a few more times. Dave M was with him then, too.
Hahahhaha. You must be the best bass player ever. Tommy is such a tool that Guns and Roses (ok, Axl Rose) stopped auditions after Tommy and simply took him on the spot. But, Count Von D, he should have checked with you first. If he had, Tommy wouldn't have spent 17 years with G&R. If only Axl had given you a call he could have avoided it all.

Absolutely! Tommy is an American treasure in his own right as well.

IOU was like a runaway freight train. Perfect.
"step right up, son. gonna show you somethin' ain't never been done'' something like that. one of the most interesting songwriters of Rock.

@@RadioactiveKetchup Its so sad though...
What a great performance!
One of the best live bands ever. Total killers every time they took the stage.
Except when they were too drunk to play?

Maybe my favorite Replacements tune. Tommy's adenoidal whine on the chorus always a treat.
that song is so fucking good! I mean just the lyrics, gosh.. and then the instrumentation and arrangements are superb, goddamn
paul looks pretty damn good for 56 considering the insane amounts of alcohol and drugs he's consumed over the years.
@Jeff Baker kind of amazing to look that good at 56. probably takes care of himself now.
Tommy's very pretty up close.
The last of the true rockers: Tommy Stinson.
Tommy Stinson is the idea of rock
But poor execution. Total tool.

Saw two shows from this tour at the Hollywood Palladium. Anyone who might have been there remember the tent onstage ???
Those two are the funniest and the best
Good morning Replacements 😊❤️👍🎶🎶🎶Simply an amazing band .
Best band
Dave Minehan. Awesome
Yeah... he's smart, he's good, and he cares about being up there and working with legends. Right on Mad Dog!
so great. 4:28. priceless
Paul and Tommy with Dave? Minehan on guitar, who is playing drums?

The Tommy Stinson video!
Anyone have tabs for this tune?
Anyone know how to play Never Mind on guitar? Can't find tabs anywhere, almost looks like it's in an open tuning..
oblivion31 really?
Chad Allen I since found a tab on some site after spending some time looking, in standard tuning and easy to play.
here it is but tune your A string up to B as IOU is in that tuning as well EBDGBE www.colormeimpressed.com/tabs/nevermind.txt
Juan Carruyo Cool, thanks a lot! Also was looking for at least the intro to Talent Show, found a couple tabs but they don’t seem right.
@@JuanCarruyo thanks! That website is gone but I always wondered about his tuning on this.
i wonder where Nirvana got the name for their album? HMMM
Holy fuck man. Is he on the needle or sick? I've seen bigger arms on a chicken.
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tommy rocks
Another reunion tour upcoming?
Never

I love the Mats... but Josh Freese was wasted on this tour.

Tommy been playing on stage since age 11, about as long as you have been playing with yourself
