LOL! I promise if it’s ponytail length give it a try 🙌🏽 use the strongest holding product you have and lay the top in layers/sections at a time to get it flat

I believe it can work. My hair is thicker than Bri but I know products and tools can make my hair lay extremely flat. Her technique is ON POINT, and as a former cosmetologist it makes sense how it allows hair to lay flattest. That nape area is where the bulk of hair is.
jackseve Mines thicker than hers too its not waist length tho but mid back. if i tried to use product my hair will puff up and will actually get bigger and harder to flatten😩you can sit and watch it move looool🙈, the only way I’ve ever been able to achieve any flatness i have to get it flat ironed or at least heavily blown out then braided
No. It can be done. I've seen tutorials of girls thicker hair and longer flatten hair even further. Baby girl just don't know how to braid her "waist-length" hair or pin it.

I leave my braids in for at least a month at a time. So when it comes time to detangle and wash it takes me hours upon hours (I’m a slow braider). This is perfect for when I just don’t have it in me to do a full head of cornrows 😂 I actually can’t believe it worked on my extremely thick hair 😭 THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️❤️❤️❤️

THIS SAVED MY LIFE OMGGGG. My har is not as kinky as yours but it’s incredibly thick and has random coils (the back of my head is also the thickest). But my hair is also very thin and straighter towards my roots so every time I try to cornrow, my curly ends ALWAYS got tangled. This is a lifesaver!!
It's really great to know that it's possible to grow out thick curly hair and still wear wigs (my hair's almost exactly the length yours is at 6:27)

Before I cut my hair, I did the very same thing and this has been a lifesaver. I have to flat twist/braid the crown though cause that the thickest and most dense area on my head but it does work. Like you said, a little time consuming but well worth it.
This was such a great tip! I was trying to figure out a way to lay my hair down under a wig without having to blow dry and braid it. Usually I have to put 8 cornrows because my hair is so thick and full. This just saved my life...and my hair lol you always have great tips & hacks sis 🙌🏽

How did you know I needed this. I have very think hair about chest length and I always cringe when its time to wash. I love wearing my wigs as my protective style. But cannot cornrow for s***. Definitely trying this method after wash day.

I didnt think it'd work I have waist lenght 3a hair (NOT kinky so it doesnt shrink up like the video, my hair is actually waist length curly so I wasnt sure it would work) UPDATE to later: I had a shoot and damn sure wasnt straightening my hair in this heat and could not do it in 2 days... this worked and I was able to shoot (w a wig) lmao they had no clue hehe yeyyyy thanks a ton !

That's actually a really good idea honestly you really can't tell lol 😂. Amazing gives a more natural look. I find the cornrows can still be bulky especially when you try to get the back in the wig 😂. Wow this was really cool! 😁

I do the same thing, but I just do twists all over my head, wrape them around my head, then keep them flat and in place with a stocking cap. My hair is pretty fine though! Awesome video 😊
