I'm binge watching all of your tutorials. You're such a great instructor. I really appreciate your hardwork. I hope you'll do a tutorial for 2 storey residential building from start to finish of architectural plans 🙏 Love your tutorials. More power to your channel
I've been using AutoCAD for drafting architectural and structural drawings since 1988. I have some Revit training but I decided to download AutoCAD Architecture for my business this time because I wanted more complex drawings with with 3D capabilities. AutoCAD is easier to understand and more user friendly. I'm very happy with your training method and thoroughness. Thanks for helping me keep up with the technology. I now have more to offer my clients.
Thank you Excellent Tutorial, so many ytube tutorials that are hard to follow, really like and appreciate your step by step explainations. So many ytubers jump all over the place, trying to explain too many things. Autocad is a complicated program and very easy to go in too many directions and get lost or frustrated. I have been using AutoCad since 1989, lots of changes over the years, even the last ten you would not have any of these preset options, a lot more time consuming to draw and set up your templates.
Nice to see a another jamaican showing there skills on autocad. Just finishing up my last year in school as a industrial Engineering, I of to use cad and Inventor for most of my project as well. 🇯🇲🇨🇦
Thank you for putting this out there. I have been trying to figure out how to structure the files for an AutoCAD architectural drawing. Your video was very helpful! It is wonderful that people like you are out there trying to help others!
One video in..... and now am binge watching when I have work to do... lol..... you are a great Instructor; detailed and precise. More power to your channel Bro.... You're helping me out a great deal..... Thank you for your time
im a old vanilla autocad user which most archtects use but i wanted to get a taste of autocad architecture.the book i have doesnt go into this, why i dont know but i found this video very informative and definetly for the beginner which i am .well done
Thank You Edward. I have watched a number of your videos in order to understand the fundamentals of AutoCad Architecture. It has been quite informative and has help me alot. At this time i al starting over and doing it for real this time as i design and construct my own dream home in Manchester. (Not in Hatsfield, jamaica but pretty close by). i will be drawing on all i have learnt (no pun intended) and of course, as usual, i will ask for your input and advice as i go along. Exciting journey ahead. All the best in your endeavors and season greetings 2022. Best Wishes for 2023.
J. Koker Thanks for taking the time to put this together, longtime Microstation user, first time actually learning AutoCAD. It would be a monumental task if it wasn't for general educational videos like the ones you've put together. Big up to you, keep up the good work!
Thank you, I've been looking so long for someone to explain to me HOWW to draw my second floor! Every other tutorial only shows how to make a single story house
Bless up mi done have architecture, however I just used the based program to draw, been wanting to try out the project part to use the program full potential. Thank for the tutorial
Thanks a lot for your video. Great. This is my 1st ever learning Autodesk Architectural (to support my MEP pursuits). I will continue with more and more of your videos. Again, thanks a lot!
great tutorial, i have all your videos watched and well explained. but am yearning for when you will do a complete and well detailed step by step of a storey bulding. big up boss
I’m trying to design a vacation house in DR using auto cad architecture, and I’m following all your steps. Thank you so much. I forgot some of the essentials steps.
Hey ! First, thanks a lot for the videos ! It's very clear & helpfull ! Second, is that possible to have more informations about the tool palette - design ? I would need it but I can't find it :// Best, Manon
First thank you for all your videos are very good explained and to the point. I would appreciate if you make a video about dormers I am using 2017 version. Again thank you
Hello!! Thank you for the content!! Its great!!! What is the command line to activate the tool "Project, Construction, Views, Sheets" , all at once, minute 8:33 from the video? I would like to do this configuration while I'm already in the model page, not before entering the project like you did. ANy help would be great!!! Thank you!!
Hi appreciate all of the videos your instructions are very clear. I have a question when creating the various elevation levels. A house that I am looking to design in AutoCAD is considered a split level. So the main house is 2 elevations 0-10' and 10'-20' like normal. However there is a connecting portion of the house that is raised 4'-14', how can I account for this elevation of the other section of my house? AutoCad does not let me create another level in between the 2 I have created for the main section of the house. Any advice is appreciated.
You can create a level at 0" (Entry Level), another at 4'-14" (Mez Level), and another at 10'-0" (First Floor). So you will have three levels. You could also have two divisions. Main and Mezzanine, or Left and Right Division, - whatever you want to call them. Hope that was helpful.
Hi Edward. I enjoyed your presentation on setting up your project, but I have a question. 1. If you have a sloping land and have to consider making the building a split level, how would you do the setup for that type of structure. 2. If you have a wooden building to be constructed on pillars/columns, How would you do the setup.
Very good question. I might have to do a video on this. But I think the best way would be to create Levels for your basement or pillars/columns. These levels would be in the (-) negative. Level 1 is always at (0) zero.
Hi Great job with your videos, very nicely put together. Can you do a video or explain how we can create a AutoCAD template so when we start a new drawing all text styles, dim styles, blocks etc.. are automatically there.
Thank you for your information on project setup. How do I add old drawings, (floor plans) into a project setup, I don't want to redraw the floor planes. I just want to organize my old projects
in your video intitled "Add column in Autocad architecture 2020_2022", could you please explain how to make the rotational angles of all the four geomitrical shapes?
Hey Edward, Thank you for your step by step tutorial for AA. Very helpful indeed. Why it crushes down when I try to open the Desktop in project browser? Let's say I want to make a new project folder on Desktop itself! Desktop shows a weird pencil & paper icon. Is that okay? Thank you.
Greetings from San Luis Obispo, CA! Thank you for your videos! When setting up levels for a 2 story home, would you create a separate level for the floor framing between the first and second stories much like creating a level for the foundation? Thank you again. 🙏🙏🙏
Yes I start watching your tutorials and deliberations but you are really an amazing lecturer but can't futher get to gridslines as I follow you up step by step learning and so on but can't get the specific tool pallate set as of the type you use. How can I get and besides am metrics mm.
Hello, i need your thoughts about how to use the Sheet Set Manager (SSM) or Sheet Set Manager embedded in AutoCAD MEP through the Project Navigator. Do (SSM) and SSM-Embedded (MEP) have different functions? Are they both interacted together as one?
As of now, they can be operated separately. But they both essentially does the same thing. I would recommend using the SSM-Embedded if you're using MEP or Architecture since it's integrated into the Project Navigator. It's much easier to work with that one pallet.
Love your videos. What if you have a taller building along with a 2 story building? Such as a 2 story house with an attached garage but the garage is 16 ft tall. I'm guessing the garage would go on its own Division but on the same Level as the First floor?
Great question! Thanks for asking. If the attached gararage is on the same "grade level" as the main building, then yes, I would have them both on the same level. If one is higher than the other, then I would make separate levels.
Hello! First, thank you so much for the educational content! Second, I have a question, do you know if it’s possible to set up Cad so that instead of creating the project folder file in ‘My projects’ it would be able to save in a Google drive folder instead?
You literally are saving me this week for i have a cumbersome assignment to submit for the use of ACA to draw, print and submit a five storey building ....my quiestion is after setting the project ,floors, construct and all that how do u combine the different floors and into what construct file does the combination occur...? Plzz help asap
I have a question about the location of cad files. Can I save the cad files on different hard drive and different folder instead of c/document/aotudesk
Your videos have helped reach over $200,000 in stocks by age 23! Thanks In The setup. Keep the videos coming.

I don't think so. You can if you want to. I think it'd be better to put it on Level 1, but in a construct by itself. Does that make sense?
@TD Vision that makes total sense! Thank you so much for these videos. They are amazing 👍👍👍

Thank you! Make sure you're using AutoCAD Architecture, which is different from the regular AutoCAD.
Hi, question do sale dvd's of each of your PROJECT SETUP'S for students..
Hello, i need your thoughts about how to use the Sheet Set Manager (SSM) or Sheet Set Manager embedded in AutoCAD MEP through the Project Navigator. Do (SSM) and SSM-Embedded (MEP) have different functions? Are they both interacted together as one?

Do you have a video tutorial to create metal scaffolding components?
I do not, but I will take a look into this.
what are your thoughts on Autodesk Revit ?
It's awesome!
Can you please do this for the 2024 version that has sheet set
I have a question about the location of cad files. Can I save the cad files on different hard drive and different folder instead of c/document/aotudesk
Excellent sir...can u plz make a video on scale ....1:100,1/4=100 ft...what they r nd how to use

What if you wanted the foundation to be above the land level like and additional 3' in height how will you do that.
Level 1 or the main level will always start at 0. So go ahead and make your foundation 3' deeper/taller.
@@TDVision_U Will try it as you said
