    Ok questions:
    1…what kind of printer?
    2…what kind of fabric?
    3…where do you find the patterns?
    4…what size are they, 1:12th scale?
    Thank you!!

    If you use Freezer paper instead of the paper ... you don't have to rub off the paper ;-)

      Right, shiny side of freezer paper glued to thin fabric, cut to size your printer can handle, print on it, cut to size. I've seen canvas paper and velour paper that work in some printers too.

      Soak fabric in Dawn /water solution over night to make prepared for dyeing fabric. Press with very warm iron to shiny side of freezer paper. Print. Heat set colors with iron. These carpets look amazing!

    Now this is probably the most incredible diy I’ve seen thus far. I would’ve never even thought to send the fabric through a printer but I’m guessing it should be a thin fabric so it doesn’t jam.

    • @Maloempia
      @Maloempia 2 года назад +2

      it looks like it is printed on the cotton, and the paper is just there for stability. after printing, you rub off the paper to keep the cotton.

    • @recoveringsoul755

      @@Maloempia right. But if you use Freezer paper and put the shiny side of paper against the fabric, you can easily peel off the fabric after printing. No need to get wet and rub

  • @emmalee4520
    @emmalee4520 2 года назад +1

    Did you put the fabric on both sides of the paper? Also did you glue two pieces of paper together for thickness?

    • @recoveringsoul755
      @recoveringsoul755 2 года назад +3

      No. The paper is temporary for running it through your printer. Use freezer paper shiny side against your fabric and it just peels off, don't need to wet the paper to scrub it away. Once you print on the fabric you don't need the paper anymore. Print small sizes for making pillows or quilts too.

    • @recoveringsoul755
      @recoveringsoul755 2 года назад +3

      Description should make it more clear, but it's in print on screen. They used A4 sized paper, standard printer size for whatever country you're in. Water based glue, and thin white cotton fabric. If you use freezer paper instead of printer paper, you can just peel off the fabric later without wetting it. Put the shiny side of the freezer paper against the fabric

      @@jeanettereynolds3151 Hi I’m new to the dollhouse world but I think you have it right. As best as I understood, she spread wood glue onto paper and then glued a piece of cotton fabric on the paper. Then she printed the 4 rug designs onto the paper/cotton combo. You can google rug designs and then copy/save the pictures, paste them in Microsoft word and scale them down to the size you want your rug to be. You may have to play around with the sizing and print a few test pages before you get it right. Once printed, cut out your rugs. (If you want the fringed look that she did, leave a border of white around the rug as you cut so you can fold the long edges and glue it down. The short edges are what you will later fringe after removing the paper backing.) Dab a damp cloth over the backside of the paper/cotton combo and peel off the paper so all you’re left with is the cotton rug. I hope this helps ☺️

What did you transfer it to? How did you transfer without any water? Why no water? Why transfer rather than printing directly? Total waste of time!!!
