      Yes ! MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity ) is more common then people know and it is something you can develop over time. So finding none toxic products is so important 😀

    for a better acrylic wash experience try mixing it with airbrush medium. You'll get a thin liquid consistency that doesn't run as much as it would with water. You are getting the ridges in the paper because you are cutting against the grain and then rounding with the grain. If you cut in the other direction and round against the grain the paper won't crease. I love your videos!

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  Год назад +4

      Thank you! I used an oil wash in this video. It was my first crack at it. I use acrylic washes all the time so I'll keep your tips in mind.

  • @destalou332

    Great project! You can gently pull thin strips of paper or cardstock between your thumb and the top of a table knife blade to curve it. It breaks down the paper fibers and avoids creases.

    I love using the wood glue for shaping and added dimension. ..I learned it from a tutorial on the vintage train case set I made..creating the handles. And I agree with the mod podge you have to really smooth those brush marks out as even as you can with super light stokes. I saw those needle files at HF for $3..and I just got that set for xmas...I really needed them!! I love how it came out!! Cute lil tea kettle! Ugh..I'm going stir crazy on foot recovery..I'm almost to my breaking point..lol yesterday I started putting together this vintage miniature paper theatre model..and tried to film with my phone..didn't happen..lol

    • @queencityminis

      $3! What a deal. Some of the stuff at Harbor Freight is cheap and poor quality but lots of it is cheap and good quality.
      I can't get Mod Podge to dry flat no matter what I try. It's like it's made to show brush strokes.
      I'm glad you're keeping yourself occupied. That sounds like a cute project. At least share a photo on your Community tab on RUclips so we can see it even if you can't film it.
