Should have a small panel that you can remove so you can get to sump plug to change oil ... pain taking this on and off every oil change. Badly designed...
Agreed, they could have made this design better. I used to change my own oil but for the Golf I get an amazing deal at the dealer so I let them deal with it.
I got lucky with this one, been changing my oil since my first car but finally the cost is so close I just have someone else do it and I trust the techs that work there, talked with them before they’re awesome.
@@andrewphillips5955 The manufacturer should be the one doing that ... I don't buy things that are not fit for purpose and have to have modifications made before I can use/fit them.

@@CarsCouches Which I could find a dealer when I live in AU like that but even VW Australia can be difficult an hard to deal with.

Could cut a Ali panel in your self and use some welded nuts in the inside to nut up to
