People, why do we care about pocket ability so much? It will just get all scratched up and worn looking. I'm carrying mine in a case to protect it...pocketability....how spoiled are we? 😂 you have thousands of games in your hands....think about how far we have come.
Yeah. I'm not really putting any of these consoles in my pocket even if they are designed for it. I always have my Miyoo Mini+ in a case inside my every day bag because I don't want it to get any scratches.
I put my good ol' RG353p inside a PSP slip cover and drop it right in my pocket. No need for a bulky case, the screen and sticks get protected, and both my hands are free.
11:05 "You're a character" is a British expression, meant as a compliment. It usually means you show charisma or a fun personality and are / would be a cool person to be around. It can sometimes be meant sarcastically to mean that a person is a bit strange or eccentric and you aren't sure how to take them like "That guy's a bit of a character, huh? 👀" but the context here is very much positive and not sarcastic.
Great review! I never understood people complaining about more choice from Ambernic. Multiple handhelds and and having more choice can only be good for the end consumer. Just pop over to their website and read the specs on each device and it’s very easy to see what differences there are. I remember the days when we got crappy little handhelds with bad screens so I’m never going to complain about having more options.
In reference to guy asking about 3DS go with the Anbernic Cube. The square screen actually makes 3DS and DS and even vertical Arcade games a JOY. However, PSP you have to fiddle with aspect ratio to make it look presentable
I personally prefer the vertical design because I don't have to get my hands to the same height of my head and kind of have less strain on my neck. Something I noticed it with my Miyoo Mini as even though it is quite small I prefer to play with it over other consoles I have.
I think removable thumbsticks should be a feature. I like having the option for a few games, but 80% of the time they're in the way making handhelds less pocketable.
Respectfully disagree. Personally, I have no interest in a 4:3 anymore and using bigger sticks would make it less pocketable. Don't get me wrong I'd love it if the cube didn't have cardinal snapping but that's more of an anbernic problem.
Steam deck is $500... I would rather buy a ps5 The small ones , without the sticks don't play games i want to play ... This... The 406v... Or ... The RP5 (mini and full size) are at the right price point to power ratio.... The RP5 has an amoled screen and a bigger chip .. and it's hard to say no to that .. but .. I really really like this device! And im planning on getting this one
So, can i play asphalt vita version on it? Or vita gaming at all? Or android gaming? Like alienisolation for android or alien blackout? Those are mostly ones that I am interested in the most.
I love the look/form factor of this device... Ppl act like it's "huge" ... And they act as if not being "pocketable" is a deal breaker??? The steam deck is huge!!! Okay.... And being pocketable is a weird flex IMO ... Small device you can barely hold... They look uncomfortable to me? I want a couch device... And i think this is the one? Although the RP5 is close to the same price point... With an amoled screen and a bigger chip .. so, it's kind of hard to say no to that.... But .... I really like the look/form factor of this device... And I'm probably going to pull the trigger on this one
Ehhhhh... pocketability is not a weird flex. If someone wants a device they can take with them wherever they go and they don't want carry around a handbag, then it's a big selling point. It's why systems like the miyoo mini still sell well. Also, it's mostly small vertical handhelds and horizontals with sharp edges that are uncomfortable to hold. Something like the RP4 with its rounded edges is pretty comfortable, all things considered. (For Dpad centric games, anyways.)
I like the vertical form factor more than things like the switch for laying back and gaming as it's easier on my arms. I really don't mind that it's not the prettiest device.
@@jackripper5270 I mean. The gameboy advance SP was actually smaller than the Anbernic SP, yet it sold like hotcakes and had a smaller screen. A 3.5 inch display really ain't bad for PS1 games and under because the fonts used in game are still perfectly legible. It's really when you get to the PS2 era of gaming where it gets a bit harder to do, in my opinion. I mean, I play on the Anbernic RG nano at times and that one is extremely small. It's just nice to whip out and play GB games on when you're waiting in line or something.
@@jackripper5270 Let's say you're commuting on a bus or waiting in line, right. And you do not typically carry around a bag. You'll want something that you can easily store with your current outfit. And something like the Retroid pocket 4 has a really good size-screen ratio with nice rounded edges to prevent your hands from cramping. The only thing is that it's a little uncomfortable to use with FPS games because you have to have an ergonomic grip with those types of games that require precise right stick movement. But for all your other types of games, it's great. And I would say that even the smaller Anbernic horizontals and the rp2S are reasonably comfortable for short play sessions, which is what they are meant for. I legit played through Mario 64 over the course of about a week and a road trip on my 2S and had a blast.
PLEASE HELP ME I GOT THE RG 406V BUT I SKIPPED THE FILE DECOMPRESION SCREEN ACIDENTALLY AND NOW IT SAYS I HAVE 0 GAMES PLEASE GET BACK TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
My reason for not buying one of these is the willingness of Nintendo's lawyers to go after any company including their unlicensed games with their own hardware. Even if this does not come with any Nintendo games I think that Sony also goes after people who distribute unlicensed copies of their games.

Being a character is a compliment it means he finds you entertaining it's a British and Irish saying really. Take it's as a compliment 😁
Really enjoying this little handheld, plays Wii and GC quite well and there's something special for me playing Zelda games on a vertical handheld.

Hey you answered my question! I appreciate it!
They should have put this screen and joysticks in the cube.
That’s how they will get someone to upgrade to a cube 2.
100%
the cube is way better with thumb caps. without it I can't use the sticks, which is bad on Anbernic.

Man I don't care if the performance would be limited to older games and indie games, I would KILL for an x86 version of this form factor!!!!
Is the audio dropping while connected to a tv? Mine is
How does it compare to the 405V?
Your review is on the mark. Chinese electronics do not not fix anything, manufacturing is cheaper. Thats why Ambernic have some many handhelds.

QUESTION::::What game was being played in this video. Looked like something MARVEL. Also what system (Dreamcast, etc) was it on? Thank You
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - PS2
This was a great video 😊
can we connect 2 controllers for 2 players?
This guy….. what a character lol
It didn't need to be so wide. It would have been much better if that screen went to the edges
I subscribed for the beard
To expensive you can just get a steam deck and play pc games to...
