    Thankyou for this lovely chinwag Liz, have always enjoyed your chinwags around your beautiful succulents and front yard plans.
    So great to see the mini greenhouse has been the right environment for some of your beautiful aeoniums ❤️
    2 degrees, you’re stronger than me coping with that.. I think you’ve acclimated like your plants have ❤
    Spring will be here soon and looking fwd to your sharing your garden progress. I’m waiting for then too, I’ve just gotten a potting shed and can sort my areas out properly. Looking fwd to my collection being displayed nice instead of with everything else comes either out growing succulents

      The mini greenhouse definitely works a treat. Will use the knowledge into deciding what I'll do with my aeonium area for next winter. I love these plants. I think they are more suited to your Melbourne weather. Just frustrated that they are not as hardy here in Canberra, as the Echeverias. Have a wonderful evening, Chris. Thanks again for watching and commenting. 🥰

      I was thinking that as I was watching, they certainly fair much better here in Melbourne. I wish they were more hardy for you too.
      Glad it gives you ideas for next winter ❤️

    Always love seeing your collection. How do you like the leca balls as top soil? What are your thoughts on having a top soil? None of mine have a top soil and I’m thinking maybe they’d be happier if they did.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 месяца назад +1

      I don't like the Leca balls for my top dressing. Just using it because I ran out of Decomposed Granite. Having TOP DRESSING has been benificial to my potted succulents. It's also much easier to water them. No mess. Thanks for watching. 🥰

    Hi Liz, hope you made it to your tests without car troubles. Saw my Dr yesterday, he says I have a problem with my heart, but it's not an issue. Not sure what that means other than not being able to get anything done. Takes me a week or more to do something in the garden and by the time I finish it needs doing again. What about the rest of the garden? I need to get off here and clean up and check my indoor plants too. LOL I'm sounding like you. He says I need to talk to someone to help me understand that I can't go at things like I used to. I don't see how that will help seems like away to get more excuses for why things aren't done. I want to get the big jobs done and finished so I can sit and enjoy the outside while it's nice. I know I'm almost 70 and can't do things like I used to. But right not I can't do much at all and I'm frustrated with me and everything that needs finishing.
    I better go and sort out my Jades and either succulents I wanted to do. Had to repot my monkey tails yesterday when I got back, because the heavy rains and wind the plastic pot it was hanging in broke. They seem alright but I'll have to keep an eye on them doe a couple weeks. Thanks for making me laugh while watching you videos. Gives me ideas and inspiration to get up and sort some of these (inside) plants out. Now I have to go do them, well some of them. 💚💙💜🌵🪴🥀

      "I could get hit by a bus tomorrow." Is my favorite phrase I like to say since I was 50. So, I make sure that every single thing I do, is what "I want or like" to do (with minor compromise). I also make sure that I get to do at least ONE thing "I like & need" each day. For example...I need to wash the dishes. 😂 And I want to POT A PLANT. 😊 The rest doesn't matter. For I might get hit by a bus tomorrow (touch wood). 😉🥰

    I just absolutely LOVE that PINK WITCH aeonium, and the other darker Pink ones too. I live in Alberta Canada, and to buy any good cactus or succulents I have to order on-line. But nobody here sells them. Only in the USA and I can't import them. :(

      That's no good. I know exactly how you feel Kathy. Seeing something you really like and can't get it. I hope my videos help ease the longing even just a little bit. Thanks for watching & Have a great day!🥰

      Good morning from cloudy & cold Canberra. Thats called Monadenium Richiei. That will grow really well in Sydney. The variegated one of that plant is even more fantastic. 🥰
