Oh man. An add-on that lets you combine chain armor with other armors would be perfect. Even just having +1 to armor for each piece, would give it infinitely more value than it currently has. And it could look very nice, slightly changing the appearance of vanilla armors as well.
I think the upgrade should be way more expensive maybe it takes more iron or iron blocks, or they can just turn down the regeneration honestly because why use nether-rite over this base armor set, I’ll buy this add-on when more things are added and balanced so it’s worth the price
It should be regen 2 and iron armor crafting recipe over the amethyst like amethyst chestplat at the top center slot iron all around for the hematite chest piece
Making my own comment here even though I replied to some. I have bought this add on and I do personally enjoy it. It gives new uses to amethyst than just two items. Please remember that the add on is still new so of course it will have some issues and may be overpowered right now, but hey, nothing's perfect! I just think the coolest feature is the amethyst sound the armor makes upon damage impact and jumping.
Cool Add-On! The regeneration is too powerful.-(But I like it lol) I wonder if it's because it is Amethyst. Do some crystals have special powers? That could be the reasoning. I feel it breaks faster in a way. Like the sword breaks faster-(Sorta) The Warden has no problem beating me up but I can say the armor will break if fighting the warden longer. I managed to defeat the Warden. Armor is good but took a beating. It's a good thing I had mending 1 enchanted on my stuff. Overall, good Add-On! I hope to see Copper & Ruby Tools/Gear.
One thing I will note, is maybe they could make it feel more of an achievement challenge by making it require Netherite over Iron, but overall this is amazing. Maybe aught to fix that tool use bug, but the mere fact that you can even put trims on them (I judge every last armor add on based on this) has me outright sold.
Ecko you should review the Weapons Fusion Mod next, it came out a while ago and it sounds like it’s similar to the combining ores one you reviewed a little bit ago, I’d love to see the differences and hear which one you think is better
Just now saw the newest update for this add-on. The tridents are now craftable, and the durability works now. BUT they nerfed the f**k out of the hematite armor to only give Regen 1 instead of Regen 3. Before, anything below full Regen 3 took forever to kick in and heal you. It was almost faster to heal from eating. I haven't actually played the updated version yet, as of posting this comment, but I feel like such a drastic debuff makes the armor almost useless compared to netherite + golden apples.
So basically you are just playing in creative mode when you get that armor… what 12 year old was doing the balancing on this mod. It’s 500X better than netherite and can be obtained before even getting your first diamond.
I am the target audience for this one. I like farming and building, and dont get into much combat. I also really enjoy the in-game sound of amethyst, but don't really like amethyst as a building block.
2:33 EXACTLY! People think if minecraft add Emerald or Ametist it will be better that Diamonds, but not, diamonds are harder than any other gem, they just can be the same level as iron! Just with diferents durabilitys. Diamonds and Netherite are same, just the buff and the dirability are diferents😂 .

This aint a bad addon ... if it was for free , the ammount of things in this addon is "Quality over quantity" Wich is good , but other free addons also have that and add way more , like dragonfire lite or hiker addon ... An on parr addon with this one would be the free pets one Way to over priced for just 1 pair of armor and tools 😂
1. There are two sets of armore as a litle side quest 2. Dragon xire is over rated af dor a bit the ruined it by geting rid of dragon flying and armore efects whic made those sets on par with iron and have bad textures they fianaly fixed it but you know what they havnt fixed? THE SPAWN RATES i had a under ground 4 block high base and drafons spawned their untill i turned it of me and my freinds where starving because the where sheep cow ect and the dragons would spawn in my farm and trample all the crops 3. Hikers aint that great way les efort than amythist armor 4. Frankly were lucky we got any free adons other than grave stone 5. One free adon came out since the og drop and that was made /over seen by mojan for their anniversary. You ask me mojan forst the og drop makers to make some adons free

They could branch out into Redstone or copper or emerald or lapis or quartz

Regen is too OP. I like the upgrading of tools concept - but instead use the smithing table for that.
Agreed to both, the smithing table would have been a perfect parallel to diamond > netherite crafting

They should have echo shards as ubgrade to this armor. Iron is way too easy to add.

In my experience, with the upgraded hematita weapons, neither of those worked AND the pick axe didn't drop coal!!
