I’m doing the same thing Kim, I normally make cards but my fingers flare up after a while so thought I’d give candle making a go but the melts look so much easier.
Hey Kim, I’ve just started making snap bars (wax melts) and when I de-moulded it it left a lot of wax in the moulds and was very rough on the actual wax melts and just overall didn’t look very nice. I’m using soy wax and I’m not sure why it happened and I’m not sure how to fix it.. do you know what might have caused it?
You need to make sure the wax is totally set hard before de moulding. Heating at the correct temperature and adding the scents and colouring at the correct temperature is vital too. When de moulding it’s always best to pull at the mould first before taking the actual bars out. Hope this helps.
When buying scents from reputable companies they will have an information sheet on each and every scent, that you can download and apply to stickers(to go on the back of your packaging) which lists all the ingredients chemicals etc to comply with the laws of selling wax melts.
@@leahmckean9420 just ensure if you’re selling to the public that you go by the correct procedures. The labelling is very important. That way you’re covered. Hi nice video thanks for the information and tutorial. I have a question, what size are the bags for the large candles, they just fit perfectly. And thank you
Candlescience actually has EcoSoya pillar wax for wax melts but it’s in flake form. The other wax they have in pellet form is BW-921 pillar soy wax for melts also. Just fyi in case you were looking for plant bases or pellet forms 👌🏽😊
There should be a list of things in the description. You will need some wax, a pan for melting, a thermometer(gun) some scent, colouring if wanted, and moulds,
This was an amazing video! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and explaining the process in such a lovely and simple way 💖
Thankyou that’s very nice of you ❤️

if you use a heat gun or hairdryer to warm moulds before you pour, it will help to stop wax sticking to mould
Can I use a wick in a glass container to use these? Instead of wax warmer?
This wax can be used for candles with wicks aswell as wax melts
Thank you dear ,please tell me why my candle scent light
You probably need to add more

❤️love this video about how many bigger snap bars Do you think I can get out of per pound of wax starting a small business
It’s about 45grams in a bar. So around 10 bars if the larger snap bars.
What size bags do you get for the large melts?
65mm x 165mm
I’ve just ordered my wax melts kit as I’m sick buying so called strong scented and they’re is very little scent comes off them,
I found the stuff I ordered was pretty good stuff.
so how many grams of wax would i use if i was adding just 5%. thank you
They look awesome!
How many grams go in the small bars please?
That was a brilliant video u explained that really well.
Thankyou 😊

If you heat your moulds with a heat gun just before you pour you shouldn't get any wax left in the mould after you de-mouod 😁
What do you heat the wax to? X
How much fragrance and how much wax do you use?
Can you please tell me measurements of big packages?
They are 65mm x 165mm
What do you use to boil and cook your wax in? Is it cast iron or stainless steel?
It’s an aluminium pot
Thank you very helpful ☺️
