I dont know what im doing wrong but I'm getting absolutely destroyed by the mobs at the beginning. By the time I've destroyed the 3 portals im almost out of sharks. Im t80 in all combat skills, overloads, t80 necro gear yet i cant sustain
This seems to be the case for a lot of players, either it's a breeze with no food or getting wrecked. Only a few suggestions I have: 1. Salve amulet (e) if you don't have it already. 2. Don't know how close to 90 Necro you are, but the t90 upgrade tasks are much easier to do in t80 gear to unlock t90, if time and budget permits for Greater ensouled cloth. 3. I haven't tried this myself, but since all the enemies around the places of power seem to be heavy hitters with low HP, maybe kill them with AoE before focusing on the giants. I did notice that all the enemies follow you ALL the way to the 3rd place of power, and i had a ton of them on me by the end. It made that part rough.
Im level 71 necro, didnt make it to the boss. Then tried it with 97 melee, didnt make it far into the dragon... you said not hard... idk what Im doing wrong but had a full inv of food both times and used them all, then still didnt make it...
not sure, I have up to like level 4 I believe for the wall of souls. But even with 97 melee/90 armor I couldnt do it. Tried 97 magic/92 armor died 2x while at the boss... full inv of sailfish @@Tewest74
Between 71 Necro or 97 Melee/Magic, definitely would suggest the Melee or Magic, but full disclosure I haven't tried that. Few thoughts/questions. Are you using vampyrism aura/scrimshaw with Melee? Animate Dead with tank armor if Magic? Deflect Necro instead of Soul Split if your dps isn't super high (this makes a huge difference in surviving some hard hitters like Rasial for example)? A few things that may drag out the fight compared to higher damage setups but might make it survivable. There could be something very off with your rotation or gear if you're getting killed badly, but since you made it through the previous quests waves I wouldn't say that's the problem. Is your Melee/Magic gear around tier 90?
@torianderson8792 Ah ok. It sounds like you have some catching up to do on a few RS3 staples before you get into a boss this hard hitting with so many mechanics. Vampyrism aura you can buy from War at War's Retreat for 5k Marks of War. It heals you for 5% of all damage you do, it's a godsend for general training/Slayer and learning bosses. Tank armor generally has better Def bonuses and some HP boost, and Power armor gives damage boosts. With Melee and Range, power is preferable 99.99% of the time. Magic Tank armor has a lot of use thanks to Animate Dead, and Necro has the biggest difference between Tank & Power that make both feasible for different situations. If any of this sounds unfamiliar I suggest checking the wiki for this stuff. If you are very new to this, RS3 unfortunately doesn't have much of a tutorial on these basics besides the wiki, Reddit and RUclips.
On Monday they will patch a lot of things wrong with this boss (in summary lots of sudden damage sources that can happen at once with no clarity or warning). When that happens I will try to make an in depth/beginner easy mode guide that will work for the quest because a lot of people with maxed stats & gear are commenting that this is a really troublesome fight.
I’m so sick of people saying this is the “easiest boss fight”. Yeah if you’re level one hundred fucking billion in health and necromancy maybe. The fuck is point of even being able to do this quest with 60 necromancy if you can’t even beat it unless you’re maxed the fuck out on every fucking stat
Unless I'm missing something, when you are 200mil XP in a particular skill, you complete a quest, then get an XP lamp towards that skill? After completing the quest it should ask you if you would like to re-allocate that XP lamp towards another skill. (eg. 200mil in Necromancy, then a 30k lamp towards Necromancy does not make any sense, plain DUMB!!!).
Yeah I'm 99 everything but the 2 newest stats. And died using sailfish soup and pray pots.multiple times. The only reason I looked for a guide. Definitely not to easy with t92 melee.. Maybe I'll try my t60 necro and get back to you. Your guide sucks
1. Lots of players are having a bad tine Meleeing this boss, it's just hard. The only non-Necro builds I've heard working ok are Magic with Animate Dead. 2. Definitely dont try it with T60 Necro, it will be a worse time. T80 at least is a fairly easy AFK grind, and a very fast one paying attention in rituals. T80 tank gear is also very easy to unlock. 3. Many players have commented that this guide was very helpful for the fight. If you are (almost) maxed and using the best solid food in the game and unable to tank the easy mode of this fight...the problem isn't this guide, lol. 4. On the food note, Sara brews heal for much more per inventory slot (flasks especially), and don't drain your adrenaline on use like regular food. Chugging soup will kill your adrenaline and make for a bad time.
So your "guide" is to say over and over, "It's not much of a problem". Well I'm a beginner. Haven't played this game in over 10 years. This guide was completely useless to me. I have food, I'm tier 90, and I'm constantly and easily killed by the Dragon at the end. Maybe describe your action bar and how you avoided be slaughtered by the AOE damage? Thanks
We shouldnt be forced to play osrs trash bosses to get our quest cape back yet again anothwr example of lazy ass jagex need a community petition to grt this trash out or game
Thanks for the quick guide. Just got off work and was able to make it through in no problem.
Thanks for the guide, it helped a lot!
t 70 weps t60 armour. Salve obs cape and ring of fort, just bring ecto and 2 prayer ports, rest full of blubbers, spam eat and you got it
Excellent video thanks.

I’ve tried it four times and I have all 99s but all my food is gone before the final battle and while using curses
Great Video!! Keep it up!
Thank you 🙏🏿

Maybe check the abilities you are using in Necromancy. Do you have all the skills up to level 71 Necromancy unlocked on the Wall of Souls?

Yo how did you get that little pet cat in the beginning of the video? That looks insane!
That's Miso, the Rasial pet. Lucky drop 🙂. It's a super cool pet lol.
Ohh okay thanks for answering! @@jasper_72
I am maxed in everything but necromancy. Necro is 71 I've tried all combat styles, idk what's wrong with me :(
